Really enjoyed our stay here. From the outset the team were inviting and accomodating, allowing us to rest on arrival after 24 hours of flying. The rooms are incredibly creative and inviting. There is everything you could need. We stayed for 2 nights and even left our passports by accident, the team quickly notified us and returned these to us. It was incredible service and having a restaurant attached to the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinners was amazing. The location is perfect for those looking to be away from the hustle and bustle. However, getting a taxi or complimentary bike from the hotel will see you in the city in 5-10 minutes. Thanks for an amazing stay in Amsterdam guys!

our rooms were very comfortable

The service in the restaurant was really bad. The food was good but the wait staff was inattentive, just getting water refilled required customers to get up and ask for service. We walked up to the cooking staff to request additional mayonnaise for our French fried potatoes when we were unable to get our waiter’s attention. A 10 minute wait for the waiter to take a breakfast order when only two tables had customers is unacceptable. Out group of ten often went to other restaurants instead of eating in the hotel restaurant because of our multiple bad experiences with the service. The housekeepers for room 209 neglected to replenish toilet paper when replacing the towels. That really should be included in big AND little cleans.

The hotel was absolutely fabulous. The area residential and quiet and the hotel was right on a large open section of water providing view, privacy and quiet. The ferry to Amsterdam Nord, along with bus lines into the city were few min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was from a menu and excellent. Coffee was great, far exceeding European expectations for coffee.

The mattress was a bit soft for my taste, and sheets were not replaced during our 1 week stay (but we request to skip cleaning for a few days). We also needed to improvise a bit to improve the room shading since the window was slanted and the curtain left a lot of room for light to seep in.

The hotel is in a cool neighbourhood close to water and public transport. We were staying in a spacious, nicely decorated studio with a kitchenette. The bed was super comfortable and there was enough wardrobe space for all our things. What we most liked was the super cure and comfortable breakfast nook with canal view. The breakfast was a la carte with various choices and it was delicious.

It was overall an awesome stay and we liked everything about the hotel, so these are just some things that can be improved for making it even more awesome. :) Shower water temperature was too hot and we couldn't really figure out how to reduce it. There might have been something wrong with the valves. Toilet paper should def be restocked more often. Bathroom plumbing was a bit noisy, so you can hear the activities from the room above you, which might be an issue for light sleepers, but we had no issue with this. Also, someone spilled something in the restaurant so the floor under the table was sticky for a couple of days and some of the dishes in our studio had dried up bits of food on, probably not cleaned up 100% by the dishwasher, so that was a bit icky.

A great choice of hotel a bit out of Amsterdam but easily accessible to and from the Central Station/Old Town. Really good and clean facilities in the rooms. Some rooms had a great view, our first room did but the second room didn't. Staff were pleasant and we found Mark to be particularly helpful and nice, thanks Mark!

The location although it was a bit out of town, does have easy access, but there is not a lot in the actual area itself as it is still in development. I would stay there again.

The room amenities, it had a full kitchen with washing machine, cutlery and sink, bathroom with two sinks and shower, towels etc. Some items not available like slippers and dental kit were provided when asked for. It was all in one room, bedroom with cupboard and coach and TV as well as kitchen with dining table for two. Was big for European standard but a bit cramped due to that. Bathroom attached and private. Coffee and tea set. Complementary snacks in fridge.

There was no lock in the room. A bit dark at night due to lack of overhead lighting. Low wall on the left side of the bed causes head to bump due to the limited space of movement, not safe.

We couldn't fault the accommodation. The apartment was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was very effective considering it was 31 degrees outside and the soundproofing of the room was good which we especially appreciated as we faced the decking and harbour where literally hundreds of people sunbathe and swim. Hotel Boat is in an area of regeneration so everything's new and it's only a half hour walk away from Amsterdam Central station but we also found a free water taxi which was great and so easy to use and the terminal was only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel.

The service in the restaurant was very poor throughout our stay (3 nights). I think this was mainly due to them being understaffed for such a busy period. On our first morning there were only 2 waiting staff on, one of which had to make the drinks too, and the cooked food sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes before it was even noticed by the waiter. He seemed to be preoccupied with taking orders and serving drinks.

Loved the spacious and comfortable rooms. The food, especially the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in a new and quiet area of Amsterdam and also has an underground parking.

Extraordinary in any aspect - awesome staff, spacious rooms, amazing big glass windows and a wonderful view towards the footbridge and the water, delicious food, great drinks, very modern gym and of course when in Amsterdam: Nice comfort to have city bikes on demand for free when you want to go somewhere.

Hands down? Nothing (!) to complain about - by far one of the BEST hotels I visited in the last ten years. Please keep your culture of hospitality and your cordiality!

The hotel was close to everything, yet out of the way (which was especially important for King’s Day). We could walk five minutes and be at a grocery store, dine at some decent restaurants or take a bus to central station. The sauna was nice and led out to a nice pier to swim in the cold water. The breakfast could use some variety over time (we were there three days so it was perfect for us), but was delicious in every way. The rooms are very nicely decorated with everything we needed in the kitchen and they even gave us some nice freebies. The free bikes were so helpful. The hotel staff was polite, engaging and friendly. and the hotel communication before our stay was consistent and thorough.

I didn’t like that I was charged a week out from our stay on my credit card. after the fact I see this was spelled out so it’s not their fault however it would have been nice to have the flexibility to chose to cancel closer to the day of arrival. In hindsight I am glad we didn’t because everything was great!
