Free airport shuttle, friendly staff, close to airport

As per booking. Enough beds for all. Kitchenette provided everything needed. Friendly receptionist.

Shower room opposite kitchen had no door. Had to inform ppl when u were going to have a shower not to pass to the next room until you'd finished. Was extremely muggy during our stay. No AC unit, only provided with two fans so only blowong hot air around, so hot and stuffy and wasn't comfortable to sleep with windows or doors open. Had window open for a period before going to sleep tho. Woke up to go toilet in the night to see something moving in the dark on the white tile, turn light on and it was a weta. Was unable to catch/kill.

this motel has a free shuttle to and from the airport 24hrs a day which we really liked and they gave us an early check in on arrival which we also really appreciated. The staff were really helpful and nice. The 2 bedroom apartments have been redecorated with new carpet and curtains and painting, they had a lovely sunny lounge with a single bed in as well so it sleeps 5 people , its a 10 minute walk to the nearest bakery for excellent food (cash only) and little supermarkets for food and most supplies & a fruit & vege shop , there is good parking and its only 10 min from the airport.

It has no restaurant but as mentioned , there is a bakery close by. For the price, we found nothing to not like, it is extremely good value for money for an overnight stop when in transit through Auckland, we will stay here again

Great place for a layover, ot too bad for a base to travel from. I can see they are making an effort to renovate and make the oakwood a better place I have stayed on and off for years now and it has been up and down. They held our luggage for 2 days while travelling. You can leave your car there .

Some of the locks and windows a bit funny to operate. Sometimes feels like people are living there, it could feel a bit unsafe for some travellers. it's a bit run down but they're trying to renovate.

Close to family living in Auckland

Not aware of the hole in wall in the bedroom, handle of the shower door was very loose and managed to tightened it. No outside lighting, front window screwed in couldn't open it for fresh air, had to leave the ranch door slider open for air flow. Couch uncomfortable could do with back cushions. No extra mirror in the room. Shower could do with shelving to hold soap, shampoo and conditioner. Pool needed to be cleaned and games room needs an update and in working order (PC).

This was only 5 minutes from the airport Park n Ride. The room was newly refurbished, clean, large and comfortable. A huge bedroom with a queen and 2 single beds. A kitchenette with a table and 4 chairs. The fridge had a good sized separate freezer. Shower was strong and hot. There was a microwave and a 2-burner hob, a toaster and kettle. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of easily accessible parking and not too much road noise. Plenty of eating places 1 km away in Mangere.

Despite having a hob, there were no cooking utensils, pots or pans. Pillows were very soft and scrunched down to nothing.

The size of the room was great

The bed was not comfortable, far too soft. Even though the room was big, it was hot and had no aircon. Had to put the single bed mattress on the lounge floor and sleep there with the little fan on. Had no door for the bathroom, so we had a toilet door on 1 side of the shower and the kitchen on the other side of the shower awkward

This place is so close to the airport and they let you park your car for up to 14 days for free, and they shuttle you back and forth to the airport. This place is not only a convenient place to stay if you're flying out of AKL but the service offered is unbeatable.

This is not a fancy hotel - it is basic and functional. I don't mind because I am not fussy and because it's serves its purpose which is to be near the airport for an early flight. You wouldn't stay here for fun or to relax etc it's a functional hotel rather than a retreat.

We were booked into room which wasn't suitable for my assessability issues ie I wasn't able to fit into bathroom with my chair so the nice reception manager upgraded us from one room to two free of charge, Thank you very much for the consideration it made our stay excellent and very good value.

It definitely needs upgrades but for value was good

As my flight was later than expected I found this Lodge very handy to the airport and flyaway car storage.

I always get concerned when necessary to hand over my credit card number for motel security if I damage anything in my room. My concern is getting in late one just wants to sleep, yet no safety cover if room already has damage. I feel this could create a confrontation with reception. In morning at 9am no staff at reception to clarify damage. I contacted 0800 no.- no answer. Rang 09 no. and lady advised already k own about 2 holes in wall.My suggestion -If faults known but no time to repair, then give customer a letter to validate issue belongs to Lodge. Also lot of loud banging from doors shutting..
