The Sebel Auckland Manukau

Great location in Manukau, about 15 minute walk to the mall. Plenty of eatery options just in front of the Hotel. It was reasonably clean. The $25 buffet breakfast was great. The front counter staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend to others

On the second day of our the cleaner was exceptional and made the room beautiful- I was amazed! unfortunately whoever cleaned the room the next day did a horrible job, just threw the pillows on the bed, didnt actually make the bed, didn’t replace the toilet paper, and only replaced some towels- unsure if it was the same person- but they must’ve had a bad day. The place was also pretty clean, except there was some gunk on the bottom of the shower door that dripped on the ground which was kinda gross

Steph was very helpful changing our room from 408 to 427. Thank you. Also Charlotte on reception who sorted our fridge incident with housekeeping.

This morning I approached the reception to pay my account and check out. I greeted the young woman with a smile and "good morning.'. She did not acknowledge me or return my greeting. She did not look up from her computor or give me a reason to keep me waiting. I had bags in my hand so headed out through the lobby doors to my partner who was waiting in the carpark. A few minutes later I return to reception. Up until that point my partner and I really enjoyed our stay and we were ready to book a room for November? Not sure if we will return. Maybe that staff member needs upskilling in customer service? Apart from that incident 5 stars for Steph and Charlotte 😊

Very clean facilities, modern and great value for money Great daily housekeeping - the in-house restaurant was also lovely! the bathroom facilities were also outstanding. Very clean shower with exceptional water pressure and amenities

the bed itself wasn't to my personal preference but it was still great for a hotel the only thing that i found to be disappointing was the room service. it was quite pricey for the portion sizes however when we shared our experience with the staff upon checkout they removed the cost from our bill so we appreciate the way they handled the feedback. the food at the in-house dining restaurant was lovely

Location was great, right across the road from rainbows end and Westfield mall. loved the rooms - very clean and comfortable and suited our family well. Beds were super comfy. The buffet breakfast is a must to start the day. The cleaners were lovely and did a great job. Very happy with Sebal Manakau, definitely will be staying again.

The internet wasn't the best but it didn't bother us as we weren't using it much. Even though there's car parking, you can't always be guaranteed one if it's busy with other people staying. We didn't have a problem getting a park each time but it was always in the back of my mind where to park as street parking was minimal

Love staying here - it is our go to when in Manukau visiting family. The rooms are always perfectly clean, have a full kitchenette so you can make breakfast if needed. The showers are large and have great water pressure. The TV is a great size and has Sky channels. The staff are friendly and very accommodating to all needs :)

It would be great if you could dim the lights in the bathroom (e.g. in the middle of the night not having the bright led on). A heated towel warmer would be great but not a requirement as the air-conditioner in the room is powerful. Perhaps a second luggage holder (the silver with black straps) would be beneficial for all rooms given that most people would not travel alone and have more than one case.

Facilities were modern and new, front desk staff were lovely

Room is completely black—no lights at night. Bed was comfortable. Close to a shopping complex, the airport, Dress smart and NRL stadium, if you have a hire car. Ubers are about $35 to airport and Dress Smart. Car parking $5 for two days.

The front receptionist told me that if I signed up at Accor, I would get a discount for the room, a discount for our meal etc. Were then charged full price for both our hotel and meals. Dinner was not worth the cost. Overcooked pasta, swamped in creamed and prawns dry. The wine was delicious.

the bed was always made, clean, fresh towels in the morning. the bed was very comfortable. the staff was always accommodating, very friendly and helpful, I had an issue in my room and the staff handled the situation promptly.

Only little issues, I ran out of conditioner, I had ants crawling around in the bathroom mainly around the door and toilet, but I did have ants crawling around before this incident but I brushed it off, but the staff handled it very well as mentioned above.

My original room wasn't great! There was no view, other than rubbish outside the window along the fenceline. As the night progressed, I realised my bathroom door could not close. I was upgraded to a 2bdrm, which had a view and was perfect in size, format and cleanliness .. not alot mattered after that, lols. The consistency of customer service across all the staff, was amazing! I've been staying at various other chains of hotels but this hotel reminded me of what customer service really looks like! I've rebooked for the next 4 weekends, just beautiful people, all of them from the reception to the restaurant! They made the stay!!!

The bed was quite firm - made it hard to get out of bed with some soreness. As I went out to work, on the 2nd day I came back to my room just wanting to jump on the bed and rest at about 4.30pm :/ but the cleaners were in there cleaning my room and bathroom - wasn't happy about that, was quite intrusive, especially at that time of the day on a sunday after work.

We were upgraded with no extra charge so it was a blessing to receive this. The room was very clean and we loved the space within the room and the amenities we received within this room.

I guess apart from the room, there was no gym or pool that would have been nice to utilise while at the hotel - carpark had to be paid which was not mentioned. Also an extra $100 was also taken as a bond which was also not mentioned when booking the room.
