City Central Motel Apartments

The room was clean comfortable and had everything that we needed, microwave, small fridge, tv with satalite channels and a small amount of items you can purchase in the mini bar . It was within walking distance to the city center, with a supermarket about 5 mins walk and subway right next door. There is building work being done opposite the motel apartments, but with the double glazing you can still have a relaxing afternoon nap

Being on the ground floor when the cars arriving their headlights would shine into the room, if we didn't have the heavy curtains closed. We didn't get a full introduction on arrival, so we had to ask about wi-fi which should've been in the room

I have stayed here before and would recommend to others. The motel units are very spacious and we used a two bedroom unit with both rooms having equivalent facilities. Upon first sight, you may think the motel will be noisy, located on a busy intersection. It is not! No noise problems at all Excellent value. 5 - 7 minute walk from the Square, Riverside and Cashel Street Mall. Plenty of dining and drinking options close by. All main features of the inner city are within shortish waking distance as well as the transport Centre linking to all parts.

All fine and value for money.

I liked the space and ambience about the room. The reason we chose this motel was for the busy and noisy traffic. Friday and Saturday are the loudest and flashiest times to hear the big motors xx

There were no outdoor furniture and No long handle dust pan xx Otherwise I ENJOYED OUR 2 DAY STAY. WHEN WE WERE LEAVING, WE WERE SO RELAXED WE DIDNT KNOW WHERE WE WERE GOING NEXT. LOTS OF AMILES FROM US THANKYOU AO MUCH FOR HAVING US.

The whole room was spacious enough with a nice compact kitchen. The bathroom was great too, but an extractor of some sort in the bathroom would help with the steam. We were impressed with the helpful staff, as I didn't know to mention we would like a downstairs room, and they changed rooms around to accommodate us. Thanks for that!

The distance from the cbd was a bit far for us older traveller's. The bed was a little tired and maybe the legs needed tightening, it had lots of movement!

Location was great. Easy walk to town. Room was clean and tidy and bonus was the mini bar. Great value for money and easy access for Uber Eats. The beds were super comfy.

The wifi was abit erratic, so I stood outside to get better reception while using google maps. However, we weren't there for the wifi, we stayed because of the location. On the whole the place was very nice and worth the money.

Location great, very friendly and helpful welcome. We are travelling with a tired young baby so we were helped with our luggage to our room. Staff also happy to store our luggage while we had time to explore Christchurch before our journey onwards.

I made the annoying error of directing our taxi to City Centre Motel rather than City Centre Motel Apartments.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming! We flew up from Wellington and wanted to explore CHCH before we could check in, so they let us store our bags out the back so we didn't have to carry them around. They also did this on the morning we checked out, as we had a later flight. The rooms felt well cleaned and the bed was so comfy! I'd stay here again.

Quite a lot of traffic noise, but to be fair the motel is on the corner of two very busy roads.

City Central motel is along the busy road but very quiet when you are inside the room. They have a friendly staff who gave us new towels , cleaned our room everyday. The location is fantastic , very near to coffee shops, restaurants and bottle shop. Price is affordable and definitely we will be back and recommend them to everyone.

It had everything we needed. Even the salt, pepper, sushi roller to rice cooker! The 2br apartment was spacious and had enough space for my 2.5 yr toddler to run around. 3 of us had very comfortable stays. The owner of the business was super friendly and we will definitely stay here again next time when we r in Chch.

Probably need a better vacuum cleaner as it wasnt very clean when we checked in. Make sure to clean the couches too. Probably will do better with one more rubbish bin but we just placed plastic bags in different places so that was an easy fix 🙂

Staff friendly and helpful. Location easy walking distance to Square and restaurants. Very convenient comfortable but reasonably priced facilities.

Felt that very large carving knife not safe for motel to use for cutting fruit etc. Small vegetable knife more appropriate. Would have been helpful to have motel booklet showing restaurants and phone numbers and any instructions etc.
