Bella Vista Motel New Plymouth

How nice and friendly the staff/owners were. They were honest about the surcharge on paywave and credit cards so we were able to pay a different way. Also so welcoming saying the heater was already on in our room and making us aware of the heat pump that was not yet working so we did not break or interfere with it as it was still in the process of getting all wired up. Very easy to talk to and helped to make us feel at home right away.

Not much - the shower in our room was out of shampoo but other than that there were plenty of supplies in the bathroom and kitchen. I also didnt like how we were only able to stay the one night (at our own choice - nothing to do with the availability) as it was such a lovely place and so close to the town.

Excellent location, walkable to the seaboard walk and library and Puke Ariki Museum and shops. Plenty of car parking. Good value rate. Room was a little tight and upstairs. I would ask for a downstair room next time. Got nice thai meal at the local restaurant precinct. Was a three minute walk.

Room a bit tight. Would have liked a ground floor room but that's just my personal preference.

Great facilities, cool apartment on second level was clean and tidy and comfy beds and spa bath with jets, good little kitchen set up and had a stove top cooker, air conditioning was also a Great bonus, hosts were lovely and was great overall, also loved the cute Guinea pig they had downstairs would be great for kids to go look at! Overall a great homely place!

Jim was fantastic, warmed up the room, ready for our arrival on a very, very cold night and is just the loveliest man. The room was excellent, small but well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was lovely, and the available products were nice too. Definitely recommend.

Sky TV, I prefer access to login to streaming services but personal preference only.

Very handy location, we stayed 3 nights and didn't use the car at all, New Plymouth being such a great town for walking everywhere. Would give this motel 11 out of 10 for cleanliness.

Nothing, although next time I would book a larger unit. Just to spread out though, not because the unit we had was particularly small.

Bella Vista is very nice motel with laundry, the receptionist is very pleasant person, he explain all you can visit in New Plymouth, he give us good restaurant and bar address. That the first time we visited New Plymouth we have very good feeling with Bella Vista. We recommend Bella Vista at all tourists.

The helpfulness of the owners, the great location, the comfortable bed, and the layout of the studio. We could access great restaurants within walking distance and enjoyed the short stroll to the coastal walkway and craft market. We came to New Plymouth for a family funeral, and the manager was prepared to assist us in any way to help make getting to the event easier. Much appreciated.

Location was fantastic. So close to everything so could walk to most places, very central. One of the cleanest motels we have ever stayed in. Friendly reception on arrival. Daily servicing of room excellent.

Would have been great if the size of the room had been just a bit bigger.

Spacious room, good bathroom and comfortable bed. Central location with adequate parking. Friendly and relaxed staff at check in. Large tv in room. We had no issues with noise from road or adjacent rooms though walls seemed thin and it could be a problem if neighbours were noisy. Easy access to shops and restaurants in city centre.

Great location close to main shopping area and eateries. Very comfortable unit, exceptionally clean. Jim was a great host, cheerful and welcoming in a very genuine way, not just a "put-on". Hope to re-visit.
