Quest New Plymouth Serviced Apartments

We booked Quest 1 Bedroom Studio for the weekend to visit our mokopuna (Granddaughter) in Taranaki. Unfortunately it rained the whole weekend but we were lucky to have a spacious clean Studio with an fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and washer - dryer in the apartment. This saved our trip, we were able to amuse her in comfort & privacy indoors which we were grateful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, we were a stones throw from the city shopping centre with stylish local cafes with good food and boutiques right outside the front door. Was very comfortable bed and pillows, great pressure in the walk in shower (2 pressure options), toiletries smelled beautiful. Were very accommodating around leaving air con on for us when we arrived. Could barely hear anyone else around us so was nice and quiet. Perfect location.

Tv screen was very blue tinted but still somewhat watchable. When taking shower water pooled a bit between toilet and sink instead of staying just in the shower area. Might need the extractor fan in kitchen to be a bit stronger. Could use a motherboard for power plugs either beside bed or at desk. No one at reception when leaving at about 9.45am but just left roomcard on the desk.

Loved the location, 2 minutes from a mall and the coastal walkway. Town was also a few minutes walk, although there is a little hill. 15 minutes from Pukekura park. Facilities in the room adequate, the bed and pillows very comfortable. Reasonably quiet. Air conditioning in the unit very good, and the only form of air as windows to open were not accessible. The BBQ deck level was great for a place to sit outside.

The windows were up high, so I felt like I was boxed in. The hallways were quite dark too, at times it was hard to see the room numbers, especially when first finding your room, and the order of the numbers was weird. My key card did not work the first time, so I had to negotiate back down to reception with my suitcase, which was less than ideal. Reception did not always have someone there so you had to use the phone at reception to contact a person. They often were there in very little time though.

Location was great, limited parking due to remedial works on outside of property, room was spacious, having laundry facilities was a bonus when travelling instead of having to find a laundromat. Staff helpful

The fact that apartments were not serviced on Sundays, this seems odd but no where was that explained, came back after being out all day to damp towels when expecting fresh ones. Pillows could be better too.

Great location very close to everything. bed was big, conformtable and room was spacious also enjoyed the selection of movies available, room was well lit, and temptature was good with the air con, kitchen was small but meet our requirments.

Parking was limited, struggled to find a parking spot, uncertancy at times not knowing if our car was safe, for such a big parking location. The shower floor would easily flood when using the shower head, water would drip down between the gap of the shower door, the shower door was to close to the rail and hard to get out with how narrow the bathroom is.

Great location, very central. Very large apartment space. Parking available. Comfortable rooms with washing and drying facilities. Excellent shower. We were able to check in late without much hassle on the first night after being delayed.

There was a wee plant growing out of the carpet in the bedroom. The room didn't smell like damp, and was generally very clean - but that was a bit odd. Thankfully I like plants.

Parking was easy and the location was the best. Since it was our second visit of the Quest New Plymouth, we asked for the different room and our request was heard.

The door from the parking lot isn't always locked, which means you can go in the facility without key cards. The main sliding door is also not always locked. A mattress of the room we stayed in was quite old as it wasn't even.

The room was very clean and the toilteries are of a good standard. The apartments are very well situated. The staff gave us options for eating. Free parking was apreciated, sometimes it was full.

The dishwasher didn't work. We did use the cooking facilities but something better than a brush to clean the fry pan would have been apreciated. We were not told the apartment wouldn't be serviced on the weekend. We stayed a week. We had to ask for salt and pepper. The containers were there but nothing in them.

Everything went well with the accommodation. The location is super good, right at the heart of the town center, so you have the shopping mall just opposite and a lot of eateries nearby. The beach is just across from the shopping mall. Highly recommend

I think this is more booking.com issues. I have selected for twin beds, however, this did not translate to the hotel and they were not aware. Once we notice and inform them, they were happy to change the bed for us, but it more Booking.com not informing them.

Fabulous location. Convenient parking. Super comfortable rooms. Spacious apartment. Everything we wanted. We go to New Plymouth a lot and this is now our “go to” place. It’s the second time we have stayed here and we will stay here every time we go from now on. Centre City Mall is right across the road, Starbucks and many other coffee/food places are outside the door. You could walk to Pukekura Park from here, walk to the TSB Showplace. Puke Ariki Lansing and the information centre and library are right there. We grabbed coffee in the morning and strolled the water front, stopping at a playground. You could walk to the pools from here too. The apartment is huge, with comfortable beds and a great kitchen. Parking is very convenient and easy to get to. I highly recommend Quest Apartments New Plymouth.
