Judges Pool Motel Turangi

I stayed in a cosy little house for one person. It was deliciously quiet, with birds everywhere. Very close to the Tongariro River Trail and fishing pools. The centre of town is a 10 minute walk. Very friendly and helpful owners.

The only thing I missed was a comfortable chair to sit outside.

The location was quiet and restful. It was exceptionally clean and the staff obliging. I discovered a beautiful riverside walk the next morning through a leafy glade filled with birdsong.

I had to ask for the use of an iron. There was no microwave to heat anything in my chalet and I had to ask for a bottle opener.

Very pleasant, no noise from vehicle away from the main road. Nice clean and tidy unit. Close to the shopping center. Walking distance, really. Wife and I and 3 grandchildren enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Nothing really, only thing for the wife there was no tongs for cooking. That's no biggie

Our stay at Judges Pool Motel was appreciated, as it was situated in a quiet part of Turangi, and the room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated being able to go walking along the leafy river trail in the evening, after a long drive from the city. The Manager was informative and helpful.

We have no critical comments. Would stay there again, when travelling.

Very well designed one bed motel rooms with just the right space for bedroom, bathroom and lounge - Slept like a baby thanks to absolute quiet lication, proper ventilation, bed location and very comfortable bed/bedding - Beautiful low key grounds with attractive little gardens and beautiful bushy surrounds - Very nice owner who was cheerful and helpful with local advice

Unit A was simple and cosy. Perfect for a one night stopover. Super clean. Felt safe and was quiet as not on main road. Nice staff and I would stay again to break up a long drive.

A lighter colour scheme with the furnishings would be nice but that's minor. Maybe a mini table and chair would be better than the armchair

It is a small motel with a nice family feel. The rooms are simple but very well equipped. We were looking for a simple, clean room at a fair price as a base for our hike on the Tongariro Crossing and this place fit the bill nicely.

I had lovey new unit, comfortable bed and room, lovely and clean, .

Only issue was due to bad weather and snow on the mountains it was very cold that night and no heater, they did have electric blanket which I didn't use but probably should have.

It's spacious studio with car park conveniently in front of the door. In addition, a sunny backyard to enjoy the afternoon. Generally quiet and clean. We left my son's toy in the bed and the Rhett managed to find it and post it back to Wellington. Very nice experience with Judges Pool Motel. Thank you very much.

I wanted an economical weekend trip over Waitangi weekend and this motel was ideal because it was very good value, half the price of similar motels in Taupo, yet only 45 minutes drive from Turangi to Taupo. It's a great central location. The staff at the motel were friendly and the accommodation was spacious and warm.

Wifi was intermittent, but it didn't really worry me as I had unlimited data on my phone. Otherwise all was great.
