Aquamar Albufeira Moon Dream

Really made my family feel at home. It’s the first time in many years that I have had such a relaxing stay somewhere. The entire team in aqua mar are exceptionally good at their jobs. So many little touches that made our stay perfect.Apartment was the superior with pool view and sea view which had two balconies. Really clean and comfy. Nice view doing the dishes :) The location is great. Mini-marts and a big supermarket in walking distance. The beach and atmosphere in Olhos de Água is very chilled. Sun-loungers on the beach only €5 for half the day and it’s very accessible. Lots of ice cream shops and places to eat in every price range both down towards the seafront and up on the main road towards Albufeira. And of course the lovely pool restaurant in Aqua Mar. Breakfast was lovely and good coffee. Thanks Maria! If you want to feel genuinely rested after your Algarve holiday, Aqua Mar is the place to go. We had a great family holiday but I would also think it’s a great place for solo travellers or couples/groups looking for a rest in the sun.

Great location, not far from the beach, close to great restaurants. Very spacious apartment with a huge bathroom, comfortable living area and a well stocked kitchen for self catering. Everywhere was always clean and tidy, the pool area is lovely for relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were so helpful and had some great recommendations. The fact that someone is available 24/7 to help with any problems makes you feel very safe. The building itself feels secure with the barrier to the car park and the front door having a code lock when the reception is not manned at night.

The sliding door on the bathroom can be a little bit awkward to open from the inside once it is fully shut. And the wardrobe door sometimes got a bit stuck. Otherwise the apartment was perfect!

Had stayed earlier that week at a 5 star resort and can honestly say the staff here were so much more friendly and customer focused. Just wish I had caught the name of the gentleman that checked us in and out, he was amazing!

Everything! The complex is small and very well maintained. The cleaning is exceptional. Everywhere is spotless. The apartments are spacious , well equipped and have all you need.The pool area is lovely, can always get a sunbed and space in the pool. Nice snack bar for coffees/ cocktails etc.The staff are all welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond to help you with anything. 5 minute walk to the beach. Lots of lovely snack bars, restaurants opposite complex or on the way to the beach. More are situated on the way to the local supermarket about a 10 minute walk away. Taxi to Albufeira old town was about 7euros. We used Uber. Local tourist office ( 5 min walk twds supermarket) was very helpful and organised trips to waterparks and caves.

Lovely friendly very helpful staff. Apartments and all areas spotlessly clean and very well kept. Nice snack bar overlooking the pool which served breakfast and lunch. 2 pools and kids pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Lifts to access both floors. Apartments are massive, air con throughout, balcony, separate kitchen, hair dryer, shampoo and hand wash to use. Welcome pack of washing up liquid and cloth, tea towels and even bottle of water in room on arrival. Taxi rank right outside. Can hire pool towels if needed. Apartments are in good location 5 min walk to beach which has sunbeds, 2 for 20 euros for the whole day. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, gift shops and minimarkets all around. Not a massive resort, more laid back and quieter than others but still enough to do in evening with a few lively bars open til late.Taxi to Albuferia old town was 8.50 euros and about 8 mins away. 25 mins from Faro Airport, transfers costs about 60 euros for both ways. This resort is definitely more for familys and couples.There was a few bigger groups but not many. Overall very nice place, would definitely recommend these apartments.

Resort and apartments are on a hill so a slight incline to walk back from the beach, shops, restaurants down by the beach, some people may find this difficult. Some apartments overlook the front road. Our sitting room, which had the third bed in was quite noisy at night due to being on the end next to the road, and the bar opposite open was until about 1am. However I did have aircon on all night as it was sooo hot, so didn't hear much after first night. Apartments with pool view seem to be the ones away from the road.

The staff were exceptional. Very friendly and very informative. Paula greeted us via the remote entry system although we arrived just before midnight. The following day she made a point of welcoming us in person and was always cheerful and helpful. Jose was then on reception after a couple of days and he was equally as welcoming. We enjoyed a few chats with him about both the area and his home in the north. Small things but all things that added to our stay.The apartment was very spacious and was well equipped. If there was something that we did not have then reception provided it for us immediately. All of the rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a thorough clean every day. The location is very good for a short walk to the beach and there are a lot of good restaurants and bars within a 10 to 15 minute walk both towards the beach and along the old road in the direction of Albufeira.

The ‘balcony’ off the lounge was very small but was ideal for a bit of shade. Sadly there was no real balcony off the bedroom because there was a large opening and it faced directly towards the pool area. It had a rail but no balcony area. We had stayed in the area before ( although not during the summer) and found it very peaceful. Sadly this time there were a couple of local bars that thought that they needed to appeal to those who want what Albufeira offers- loud music into the early hours. They had large picture windows/patio doors wide open which did nothing to curtail the sound from within

Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff member who was at reception. very friendly and knowledgeable. room was ground floor, superb , very clean and spacious. location is perfect ( for us) several minutes walk to the beach 5 min in a taxi to the Old town of Albufeira perhaps 5-7 min into new town we walked which took 55-60 min ( great walk by the way) room was also cleaned daily and although this was self catering, basics were provided like shampoo, soap, toilet rolls and kitchen supplies like sponge and washing up liquid sample dose ( we liked that ) we didn’t really use the kitchen as this was a short stay and we ate out several good restaurants around to explore, we enjoyed the tavern by the beach - reasonably priced

- there was no ironing board and iron ( we didn’t ask at reception ) - there was heavy smell in the corridor which resembled gas leak but unsure what that was

Lovely spacious apartments with air con and WiFi. All staff really friendly & bar food was good. Apartments are cleaned every day. There was never an issue getting pool beds. Apartments are also close to all amenities and two lovely beaches.

There is not a lot to do in the area if you don't drive. There was also a bar near the apartments called Oasis, which played loud/ live music most nights until after 1am. Ear plugs solved the issue.

The staff Jose especially was amazing he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable orgainsied everything even meet us at are taxi to carry are bags left a birthday gift for my sister in the room just a wonderful experience ❤️ the cleaners were amazing had the room spotless very clean hotel close to everything would come back again

Actually can't think of anything bad the staff were sooo lovely I'd go back again

The apartment was very well appointed with fully fitted kitchen and spacious bedroom and living area. Air con was excellent. Bath and shower were well fitted out with complimentary soap gel if needed. Flat screen tv was a bonus for catching up on news. Wi-Fi is free and great signal. Good surrounding area with lots of restaurants and bars are nearby. The complex has a laid back and relaxing atmosphere with a good mix of pleasant guests...definitely will return

Noisy cocktail bar over the road. Open till 2am most nights. ( not the hotels fault ) if you have room with pool view this won't be a problem.
