Grande Hotel De Luso

Beautiful room with balcony, tastefully renovated historical buiding by Cassiano Branco, excellent location, helpful staff, wonderful pool, nice places to see in the woods and very nice roads if you like driving

Some of the other guests were a little too loud and unpleasant in the common areas (pool, breakfast), breakfast options were not great, difficult to park inside the hotel grounds, but there is plenty of public places close by, acess denied to the jumping boards of the pool was dissapointing.

An old classic, where different generations have stayed throughout decades. Despite the sumptuous facade look from the old regime, the interior was all renovated, and the rooms are quite nice and comfortable.

Some bathrooms are in need of urgent renovation (although I must say I was promptly offered a better room, as soon as a problem emerged in mine). Breakfast could have better and healthier options.

We've been staying at the Grande Hotel for many years now and it never fails to be a delight. Lovely staff and great facilities.

The breakfast has always been a rare misstep at the hotel. Feels like there could be improvement and the opportunity to source better locally produced produce.

Great spa hotel with old world charm. Silent and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Special thanks to the gentleman at the reception to help us with our room requirements and charging our car. We liked the hotel so much that we stayed an extra day. Food was great too. Next to the thermal spa which was awesome too.

The facilities and location are beautiful. The staff is all super friendly, attentive and helpful.

We’ve stayed in several different rooms in this hotel over the years, because we love it so much. In some of the rooms the bed has two individual mattresses and individual bed clothing side by side, instead of one large mattress. This really makes it uncomfortable to sleep close to you loved one, for me.

Great hotel, friendly staff and great facilities. food in the restaurant was nice and plenty. Pool was great and clean. Hotel was quick to resolve an issue with our hairdryer.

Due to late booking we were given rooms in the ground floor. As it was our first visit we would have been great to enjoy the views of the higher rooms. Buffet offered meat, fish option. The vegetarian option was not great and it would be beneficial to offer a more kid friendly dish.

Adjoining rooms are great for families. Breakfast was good. Pools were mostly clean and the outdoor pool is very big.

Some minor things, like there is no control over the rules of use of the indoor pool, the access is non-sensically around the inside rather than from the outdoor pool and there are no free towels.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Luso. The hotel is clean and very comfortable, the bar area was very nice. Breakfast was great plenty of choice. The swimming pool was amazing and the fitness area was very well equipped.

The hotel localization with all context around: The Buçaco, the SPA, the restaurants you can find in the village. The swimming pool is extraordinary and all the additional activities we can find (table tennis, snoker).

Excellent breakfast choices. Great location, nice places to eat within easy walking distance. Beautiful scenic views.
