Duquesa Suites Barcelona

This hotel is a typical Barcelona townhouse transformed into very comfortable apartments. Easy access everywhere, very close to the beach and other tourist attractions. The hotel is beautifully situated. The rooms are spacious, very well equipped, comfortable beds and, what is very important, soundproofed windows, air conditioning is very useful when the outside temperature exceeds 35 degrees. Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool, although small, made my daughter very happy. And the views that can be admired from the roof are wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, whether you are traveling with family, with friends or even on business. It is noteworthy that if you ordered breakfast you have to go to the hotel headquarters, you have about two minutes to walk but not a problem, the morning short walk when Barcelona comes to life is pure pleasure. In addition, breakfasts are very tasty and varied, everyone will find something for themselves.

I have no objection, it might be nice to have more sun loungers on the roof by the pool, there were only two.

We stayed at Duquesa Suits second time. This time I lived in the apartment with 3 kids - 8 month, 5 years, 9,5 years. Why I strongly recommend this place: - they give nice service. Natalia and Alba at reception were always ready to help to find answers on my questions about Barcelona. Many websites of place of sightings are in spanish. They helped a lot. While I was having breakfast, they were helping with all my questions. Ruben always helped to get all my stuff and kids to taxi. - Very good breakfast. Different types of cheese, bread with olives, nice coffee, fruits, home tomatoes and garlic, etc. - The restaurant and zone for rest and coffee is very cousy and beautiful. - Terrace on the six floor has small swimming pool and beautiful night lightning, there we had tea and fruits with kids after day exploring of Barcelona. The view from terrace is amazing. - Everyday room cleaning was great. Yes, for Spain it’s rare. - Location of Duquesa appartment is perfect- close to the Zoo, la Rambla, funicular, Barceloneta beach. Looking forward for new journeys to Barcelona and Duquesa Suits

The location was exceptional, super close to the harbour, good restaurants and bakeries. We were lucky to get our room upgraded to the fifth floor with a fantastic view over the harbour. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. As we were traveling with a two year old we liked the kitchenette, we could then make breakfast and lunch which we know he likes instead of trying to find restaurants that served dishes he prefers (pasta, pasta, pasta).

The noise from the street, there is quite a large road outside the hotel. We knew that when we booked the hotel so it didn't come as a surprise to us. Bring earplugs if you are very sensitive to sound. We did so much during the day that we were so tired that we fell asleep easily anyway.

We stayed at the Duquesa Suites for just over a week. The staff could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. The room was cleaned daily, we got bottles of water, extra coffee every day and all of it provided to us with a smile. The team working there was just fantastic. The room was perfect for our family of 4 and having a simple and small kitchen for quick snacks and bites and morning cereal/coffee before heading out is always our preferred way to travel. The rooftop has spectacular views and our kids loved playing and swimming in the pool at the end of everyday (even though it is maybe(?) a meter deep and not heated. We enjoyed having a few drinks and snacks while they splashed around and the kids got mocktails as well to celebrate the holidays. The location is prime. Located across from the port and right next to the Gothic quarter was fantastic. Everyday we were able to walk to the port, go to the beach or head further inland to see the markets, shops and museums. Everything was within 10-15 minutes walking. For longer excursions, there is a bus stop and a train station 5 minutes away.

The only thing we did not like is the noise from the pedestrian and vehicle traffic outside on the street at all hours of the day. We would leave some of our windows open at night for the cool air to come in and we would regularly hear emergency vehicles, people walking around and yellling/laughing at all hours and the nightly recycling truck collecting the glass bin outside on the street. While not the fault of the hotel, if there was one thing I would change this would be it as it woke my wife up a few times; (but I mastered the art of sleeping through it by the third night). If the windows were closed and our AC was running, we would probably would not have noticed so much.

We stayed in three hotels during our vacation in Barcelona. Duquesa Suites Barcelona was definitely the Best hotel we used. The rooms are very large and kitchenware are also available, unlike usual hotels. I was specifically looking for a view of the sea, and there are not many hotels with such good location. Considering the scareness of the beach view hotels, definitely great cost for the rooms. The front desk area is quite small, but with the very professional and polite manager, all was better than ever. Housekeeping staff were also very hard working and polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, and stay again if I ever have the chance.

This hotel was a great find! The room is very spacious with a kitchenette & the bathroom is well designed for people with reduced mobility. Because we are sailors we particularly enjoyed the view of Port Vell from our room. Even though the hotel is situated at the corner of a busy street the windows are well sound-proofed. The location is excellent for visiting many sites on foot, as well as only a short walk to a stop for the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful. The bottle of wine waiting on arrival in our room was also a great surprise! We can’t wait to go back to Barcelona & will definitely stay at the Duquesa Suites again.

The staff were phenomenal. Angel greeted us on arrival and was really welcoming. Angel , Jostin and any staff at the small personal 24 hour reception desk made us feel as if we had our very own private concierge. Extra towels , extra duvets , first aid kit - all within 2 minutes of sending a WhatsApp message ( great system) - I asked about room service which they don’t do as you have a great kitchen facility in the room - Angel asked “but can I bring you a bowl of fruits?” so thoughtful. So kind and genuinely concerned about their guests. The cleaning lady Alisha was a real sweetheart. Gently knocking and walking away if still not fully woken up yet. Room was always spotless. Plenty of coffee for the Nespresso type machine. ( Coffee was delicious! Dare I say nicer than Nespresso!) Location was superb. Excellent to head to Gothic quarter, Port , Barceloneta strolling. Rooms are very generously sized! We had basically a one bedroom apartment. Our teens had the living room which was huge with 2 very comfortable single beds. We had the bedroom, smaller but perfectly sized . The bed was SO comfortable and the pillows were like marshmallows. We slept really well. Bathroom was perfect with lots of nice products and eco toothbrushes. There was a lovely welcome of a bottle of bubbly , a bottle of red wine, water and fruit juices. The living room had a table and chairs and a kitchen . The roof area is lovely and relaxing. The suites are perfect. Great for families, couples, not a party place. Felt SO safe .

Great location (very convenient for getting around Barcelona - close to the Marina, Beach, Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, and more). Hotel has a lovely and private rooftop terrace with plunge pool (big enough to relax in), with a lovely view over the Marina / Barceloneta area. Products in the bathroom are all Rituals which is a big bonus. Staff very nice and carling / welcoming and much more personable and welcoming than a chain of hotels.

we paid £900 per room for 2 nights which seems a little expensive, however we booked at last minute (the day before) with most hotels already filled up due to a large concert taking place in Barcelona. Areas for improvement - would be good to have more options to get food on-site, and the air conditioning in the hotel room could also be stronger.

Great location close to Gothic Quarter with lots of restaurants and 15min walk to Placa de Catalunya. Lots of Museums near by. Everything is walking distance. Had a Deluxe Double Room with a beautiful view. Very nice room with kitchen and comfortable bed. On top is a terrace with pool and a great view. Professional staff at the reception desk showed exceptional customer service skills. Alejandro welcomed us on the 1st night and offered various places to visit and gave suggestions regarding restaurants (Thank you!) We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to Duquesa Suites in Barcelona. Thank you all!

The property is well located. Few steps to the harbor and hop on off bus station, close to the subway… The hotel room was without a view, but it didn’t disturbed us. Very quite, didn’t hear the cars passing. The bedroom, the lobby, the kitchen and the bathroom had everything and also it has a style. I loved the painting on the wall in the bedroom. Because we were travelling with a baby, we booked a room with a small kitchen and we had one extra single bed in the bedroom. The master bed was queen bed but it felt so big that I would say that it was a king size bed. All of us three had enough space to stretch and have a good sleep, when the baby couldn’t sleep off in the baby cot with the sweetest bunny designed bedsheet 🥰 I am in love with the bedsheet! There is an elevator so it’s accessible with a pram, for those who is traveling with a small child.

There is nothing, I totally love this place. If I am coming back to Barcelona, I would get accommodation in this hotel again 🙂
