Hotel Lyon

Room no bigger than it needed to be. I requested a twin room upon booking and got it. We were regularly offered fresh towels throughout our stay and the property kept our bags after checkout until we got our taxi which the property also booked for us. Never waited longer than 5 seconds to be let in the front ground floor door, even at 3:00AM. Air conditioning in the room was lovely and cold, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. Location was perfect for getting to the Marina and surrounding areas. Also, the Mr Robinson bar on the corner of the street was a great added bonus, good food and drink.

Don’t inspect the rooms too closely as you will find imperfections, but for the price paid, these were easily overlooked. Very small bath with an overhead shower, a walk in shower might have been more appropriate.

We got a room with a balcony which we did not expect. It was clean and comfortable. We have read that many relatively cheap hotels had problems with insects or air conditioners, so we selected Lyon as there were no complaints about these two problems from previous tourists. We were positively surprised by the comfort of the room.

Great location, right next to the metro station Barceloneta and the train station, just a few minutes away from the beach, the gothic quarter and the Ciutadella park. The staff was great, attentive and very helpful. With the exception of a minifridge, the rooms are equipped with everything you need for your trip: hot shower, air conditioning and comfy beds.

The room had everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is the city center and you we could access many sightseeings by walking. If tempted to go farther there is a metro station nearby to suit your needs. The entire place (despite being minimalistic) was sparkling clean and cosy. We’ve got out towels changed daily as well as beds fixed.

we had two single beds put together instead of entire queen size bed which was a little bit of inconvenience as they’ve been moving easily. However it was comfortable over all.

Lovely staff, small room but very clear and comfy, the position of the hotel is excellent because it’s really close to all the attractions of the city, the breakfast was buffet and also delicious, I enjoyed the stay.

The staff were really friendly n helpful. Is situated in the middle of the city with a good connection if buses, Metro n Trams. The night receptionist(Mirella) is a wonderful staff. She made sure my breakfast was served on time in my room as a special request.

There are no fridges in the rooms to store your drinks.

Friendly helpful staff..room kept clean..good shower/toilet…best of all was location. Great price for peak time in this perfect location.

Ideal for price, so happy with basic room. Small room, no tea/ coffee making facilities, no fridge but we were out most of the time anyway.

Very good location, clean air conditioned room, enough big for a short trip. 24h supermarket near, 24 h reception ( we accommodated during the night. The hotel kept our luggage until our evening flight.

You need to ring a bell to enter the front door, small bathroom, courtyard view, lacks natural light.

location is excellent, close to everything. staff very kind and helpful

very small rooms. not much room to walk around the bed. it’s perfect for sleep only if you plan on being out all day. great for couples but definitely not if you travel with kids

There was a bad smell in the bathroom coming from the drainage and the inner yard. The bathroom windows were faicing an inner yard. We had to sleep with the windows closed and it was fine. It wasn't the fault of the hotel though. We felt the smell in front of the building also and on other streets in Barcelona. They had some sort of sewerage issues that weekend in the city.
