Grand Hotel Central, Small Luxury Hotels

A lovely hotel in a very convenient location. The staff, the facilities were very good. I loved the rooftop pool and the latte they served.

One morning we arrived 15 mins before breakfast closing. They already packed up the food and they started a team meeting in the middle of the breakfast area where some other people were still having breakfast. I think it was unprofessional and not respectful. The wifi was not working well.

This is a chic city hotel. Perfectly located. You are right in the vibe . The roof top pool and bar is so cool. It's better to stay in the city in Barcelona than on the beachfront . Far more interesting things to see and do. And you can always go down to the beach when the mood takes you. This hotel will make your visit to Barcelona special .

Nothing not to like . But if you decide to book this hotel in summer please be aware that how the beds at the pool are allocated . You need to book beds in advance and you can only have a bed for 2 hours max. The system actually works nicely ..... but please just be aware of it.

This was everything you’d expect from a signature hotel and more. Comfortable, luxurious and impeccable service. Not often a bed surpasses the one at home but this did.

Better control of children on the pool deck, respecting other guests in terms of noise and nuisance.

From the moment we stepped out of our taxi to the day we left the staff could not do enough for us! They were very kind, helpful and gracious l The hotel is beautiful, the bed was very comfortable with the best pillows. Breakfast selection was really great. Don't miss the hotel's top floor terrace with it's gorgeous infiniti pool and views overlooking Barcelona. Location is great, just around the corner is the magnificent Cathedral of Barcelona. We truly hated to leave but we will return, there is so much to see and do in beautiful Barcelona and Grand Hotel Central is the perfect place to stay.

The room was a good size and very clean with a super comfortable bed. All the facilities in the room were fine and as you would expect for this level of hotel. The location was great to be in the centre of Barcelona but not so great for me as I need to get to the Fira Grand Via every day and taxis were almost impossible to get. The hotel staff were superb in try to help me with taxis.

It was difficult to get to and from the Fira Grand Via. I had a bad back and did not really want to use the Metro which was a 10 minute walk away, carrying a bag each day.

Pol at reception was resourceful, helpful and enhance my experience at the hotel. Ditto Oliver on the rooftop. Oliver takes your rooftop experience to the next level with his charisma and savoir faire. Oliver manages the rooftop like a virtuoso.

check in experience was not smooth as could have been. below expectations. I was early at the counter and I would have understood to be told to come back at their stated time. Instead they offered me a 13:00 check in and did not deliver. I came back 2d time at 15:00 and the room was still not ready. Very inconvenient specially because the promised and could not deliver, instead they were late even on their stated policy.

Hotel is beautiful with strong focus on service - from drinks while waiting to check in at the front desk, to knowing your coffee order in the morning at breakfast. Concierge services were excellent! Loved the location just steps from the gothic quarter and el born. We loved the rooftop bar/deck where we spent most afternoons after walking around the city. Would highly recommend!

Only issue we had was organization of scheduling spa services (scheduled through front desk, but spa staff unaware of appointment). Overall, resolved easily.

The location was perfect for all of the sights. Close to the Metro and a walk away from the old town, the gothic cathedral and Barcelonetta. We did not have the hotel breakfast as plenty of alternatives nearby for a fraction of the price. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. In particular, the Concierge was great. He was warm, friendly and really informative (and he secured some tickets for the football!).

The roof top pool was freezing cold. Otherwise we loved the hotel and would strongly recommend it.

The Grand Hotel Central Hotel is situated in a perfect location. Its has a gorgeous rooftop bar and pool with a great view over the city. The hotel has a lovely vibe which is all down to the professional, friendly staff in front of house. When we arrived we were greeted at our taxi by a lovely gentleman who assisted us into the hotel lobby with our luggage and made sure we got checked in ok, he then escorted us up to our hotel room, it was a lovely warm welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and a decent size for our four day stay. The hotel has a luxurious aroma.

Central location and the pool on the roof top

Our room had noise - water / sewer pipe from adjoining room or upstairs room every time a toilet was flushed we got a very loud intrusive gushing sound. We didn't receive a reasonable check-in. Lots of information was missing. How to use the sun block out shutters. Slept first night with neighbors looking into our room. We were not told that we had to book sun beds by the pool so for the first two days we couldn't lie by the pool which was the main reason for booking the hotel.
