Hotel Omnium

The staff at hotel were very welcoming, she informed us where we could get coffee and use the bathroom as we were very early for check in time. She also offered to guide us if we needed anything. The hotel had a lovely scent throughout which I was informed it was a special scent created by the owner. The room was comfortable with a lovely big bathroom - the water pressure in the shower was just as I like it - powerful. All the staff throughout my stay were welcoming and helpful. The hotel location is convenient as places are in walking distance.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Would I be looking for hospitality staff, I would try to hired this crew!! We travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels, but almost never have we experienced such kindness, openness and welcoming hospitality! We felt more than welcome, rather like visiting close family/home! The hotel architecture is a bit twisted, but super modern and outstanding in design and brightness, despite low level floors and rooms on the building backside. They did an outstanding job transforming the quite challenging architecture into the best possible way! Everything is very warm, lovely, modern in design and super clean. We loved it! And the location is also excellent, walking distance from all main attractions!! You will be right in the middle of everything! Even car parking is possible in an own garage in the same building, if you reserve it in advance. Definitely a very strong recommendation for a great, modern, budget hotel stay in Barcelona!

Just keep in mind that there is not breakfast included/possible at this hotel. For us this was not a problem at all, since there are several super nice little coffee shops and small bakeries just around the corner. Also, you anyways will find delicious food, snacks and bites anywhere in this beautiful city! And if you still have any concerns, don’t worry, the awesome hotel crew will definitely help you out for sure!

The location of Hotel Omnium was perfect for my partner and I. A short walk to the metro to reach the sights of Barcelona, easy to catch public transport both to and from the airport, and quite a few beautiful restaurants and bars, and local supermarkets - and bubble tea - within walking distance. We walked from the Gothic Quarter to here at night, and it felt much safer in this area than the Gothic Quarter, so we were pleased we were staying here. Fabio was an asset to this property, we arrived early and were able to check our luggage and use the facilities to change and make the most of our day in Barcelona before check in, and he suggested places to visit and avoid. The property felt safe and secure, it honestly felt much nicer inside the property and room than the two stars it was given and the shower was amazing after a long day. The aircon worked well, there are lifts and the wifi was good. If we return to Barcelona, we will stay here again and recommend it to friends

We had the executive room that was very spacious, comfortable and very clean. Staff were excellent to advise on any questions regarding places of interest, restaurants, beaches, shops in Barcelona. Maggie & Fabio were so friendly & helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Overall a great hotel, close to everything.

We would have preferred tea & coffee facilities in the room like other hotels provide instead of a centralised location for all guests to serve themselves and which was not available after 10.00pm.

- Snacks at the morning tea/coffee booth is very limited (only mini muffins) - Elevator wasn't working when we had luggages heading towards check out, so carried it up and then down the stairs. (They have an unusual path to the rooms but is not an issue at all). - Hair dryer does not work continuously. It will pause after 20 seconds and won't work for minutes. That's was very frustrating. - Bathroom does not have vent fan, so it can get humid and stuff, especially when you are out of room and electricity shuts down

Hotel is in a great location in the Eixample neighborhood, within walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, Born and many other spots. Rooms & the hotel itself were exceptionally clean and smelled great. Our room was relatively spacious, had an outdoor terrace, and a really nice shower. Wi-Fi was surprisingly good, free coffee is provided, and the staff were friendly & helpful. This is not a luxury hotel or one with a large offering of amenities like a bar or pool, but it offers good value as a home base to explore the city & I would recommend it.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Barcelona very near to all the main attractions. 15 mins from the Sagrada Familia, Picasso museum, Barcelona Cathedral, the Arc, Ciutadella park, coastal walkway, and other major sites of interest. 10 mins to the nearest subway to get to other further places. A short walk with many nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The room and hotel has a very classy decor, with wood paneled furnishings giving the hotel a very sleak vibe. The staff are particularly friendly and welcoming, one of them, Maggie, was an absolutely gregarious and fun person to talk to. There is nice lounge where coffee and tea is provided for free. There is also a mini gym, and bicycles are provided.

There are limited power points around the room. No water boiler that you can use to make a cup of tea or coffee (if you want to make your own coffee/tea). The main table in the living room is too small, there are not many tabletops to put your things.

Everything! This hotel is like a 4 star, everything was so clean, the room was lovely with a terrace. The bathroom was brilliant with a great hand held shower as well as rainforest shower. It had hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and make up remover wipes. The communal area was great, so lovely to be able to get tea and coffee, muffins and water - a great addition to the hotel. The staff were great and so friendly, especially Fabio who was so knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is on a quiet street with the rooms at the back so we had no traffic noise and it was very quiet, yet just a short walk to main areas and lots of cafe's nearby. We will definitely be back. We liked everything!

The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. Very good location, the main landmarks was very close, we didn't even use the public transport. Coffee, tea and fresh water was available all the time in the lobby.

Transport from the airport to the hotel and vise versa (the metro station to the hotel). Closest metro station doesnt have elevator and it was very hard to get out with the all bags. But is not up to the hotel. Noice from the other rooms. Hair dryer turned off after couple of minutes working.

The hotel and the staff were incredible. Super friendly and their recommendation about restaurants and bars was absolutely spot-on. There were other guests that were loud during the late hours and they took care of it immediately. Our room was cleaned every single day and we got complimentary water bottles every day. It is also just a few minutes away from Plaça de Catalunya which makes it a breeze to get to from the airport ( as the Aerobus stops there ). We will definitely stay again in Hotel Omnium once we come back. I highly recommend it!
