Room was quite small, initially we had selected the economy double but changed to room with balcony, extra space is needed. Seen economy double been cleaned and it was tiny. There is no privacy with the bathroom. It's a frosted glass door that has gaps on all 4 sides and no lock - you can hear everything!!! There was also a very strong sewage smell from the bathroom at times, not sure if this is issue with the hotel or the entire area. No sound proofing, you can hear other guests in rooms adjacent and above. We were kept awake 2 nights with other noisy guests

This hotel was very well situated and walkable to pretty much everything we wanted to do. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful and accommodating. The room itself was reasonably good with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. While they did not have breakfast, you did have access to a wonderful Nespresso machine every morning that produced hot water for tea and/or a variety of coffees (lattes, capuccinos, decaf coffee with milk). And, if I wanted tea at night, the staff were willing to get me hot water.

There was limited storage in the room. There were only 3 small cubbies for all of your clothes, toiletries, souvenirs, etc. There was plenty of space in the room to add some extra shelves so it was disappointing that we had nowhere to keep things. There were some rods holding up the main storage unit in the room so we just ended up trying to hang things over the rods to try and stay organized.

Really liked this boutique hotel! It was in a good location near the Gracia region and I enjoyed using it as my home base for the 5 days I was in Barcelona. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious which I was really pleased by. I also really appreciated the help of the hotel staff. Would recommend this for a solo stay, for people happy to walk around the city to get places.

It was a bit further from the main city than expected but that meant it was in a safe space, however I would have expected it to be a bit cheaper. I also would have liked there to be more of a pastry offering for breakfast other than muffins as it’s a great space in the communal area, but not much option for the mornings when in need of food. It would also be great if the laundry was cheaper - it was quite a cost to do one bag of laundry as they charged per item, despite there being information about it being a per bag cost which was quite frustrating.

Praktik Garden exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. The decor of the hotel is nice & well considered, especially the outdoor areas. The amenities offered were much better than one would expect from a 2 star hotel. It was also lovely to have a well sized balcony! The staff were all very nice, knowledgable and very helpful. This is such a nice place to stay, in an excellent location. I would definitely stay there again.

The only issue I would have would be the lift, which never seemed to stop on our floor.

I had a great stay at Praktik Garden! I booked a superior room, which was really nice: very clean and one of the best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel! I had expected it to be noisy, so close to the centre, but I had no problems with that at the back of the hotel! Superior rooms have a great balcony, but the common terrace on the first floor (open until 11PM) is amazing too, very cosy and comfortable! Rooms, lobby and terrace look amazing as well. On top of all that, its location is amazing: close to the sights and with a lot of cosy and yummy bars and restaurants nearby, so would definitely recommend.

Nothing really

A quirky and quaint little hotel in a brilliant location close to the city centre but not noisy. Public transport, restaurants, minimarts and pharmacies close by and within walking distance of many attractions (eg. La Sagrada). The rooms were very comfy and clean. The complimentary freshly baked muffins and hot coffee each morning were a pleasant surprise. Very helpful staff and have already recommended to friends who are coming to Barcelona.....would definitely stay again.

The lift didn't work on the day we were lleaving which made it awkward to get our bags downstairs.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is just perfect - walkable distance to lots of touristy attractions and close to the underground station from which you can catch a direct train to the El-Prat airport. On the 1st floor, there's a very pleasant lounge area with a terracce, where every morning you can get a free coffee and mini-muffins. They have free lockers available so you can easily drop your luggage off if you happen to arrive before the scheduled check in time.

Cute decor throughout, homely. The Staff was fantastic, extremely courteous and helpful, from front desk to the cleaning staff. I did need boiling water in the evening to solubilise a herbal tea for medical reasons and the front desk staff kindly obliged a few times. This was much appreciated. The room was super clean, and refreshed daily, shower and bathroom excellent. My room seemed well insulated and quiet but I was also at the end of a corridor so it might just have been quiet for that reason.

Sadly, no coffea or tea service available after 12pm anywhere in the hotel, no tea facilities available in the room. Maybe have a kettle available in the lounge? Or even a paid vending machine or coffee machine to make tea or coffea after hours. It is a nice touch to relax after a long day or like me, for medical reasons Also I didnt realise there was no desk into the room, which made it difficult to work, especially because I was travelling for work. I had to work from my bed or the common room, which is an issue due to lack of privacy. I am not sure if some rooms have desks, it just wasnt clear that mine wouldnt have one at the time I booked.

Good location, near Passeig de Gràcia and some subway stations that can take you anywhere interesting. It is a good, comfortable and welcoming hotel, with a nice outdoor area and coffee and tea available for the guests, in the morning. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

For the price point of this hotel I was expecting a bigger bathroom, and especially one with the sink inside of it. I also expected a little more care with the room itself, as there was mouldy wallpaper under the air conditioning unit, which must have been leaking at some point. Two little issues to have under consideration on an otherwise excellent hotel.

Great location (easy walking distance to tourist destinations like Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, Gothic quarter etc). The room and hotel had all the amenities needed and was quirky and fun. The terrace was lovely and having the coffee available in the morning was nice. The main reason I chose was for the location and it didn't disappoint. Very comfortable stay.

There was a faint mustiness sometimes in the room but that might have been related to the humidity in Barcelona while I was there. Opening the window in the room for a bit after using the shower or after the room was closed up for the day was all that was needed.
