I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's exceptional facilities, providing both comfort and convenience throughout our stay. Nestled in the heart of the Gothic quarter, its prime location added a delightful layer to our exploration of Barcelona, while the staff's unparalleled warmth and accommodation truly made our experience memorable, even going the extra mile by graciously storing our luggage before our official check-in time.

No such thing - the breakfast was a bit pricey, that's why we ate outside.

the place was extremely clean and rooms were modern. Joel who worked at the front desk was extremely helpful in helping us with any questions we had! He deserves acknowledgement of his amazing customer service!

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in excellent location.

Room wasnt ready on time. And coffee machine was broken.and did book room with kingsize bed but were given 2 single beds.

Excellent location near shops, metro, close to amenities, lively but not too loud. Rooms have high ceilings, good views and nice bathrooms. Cool, clean main lounge area and communal pool at the back to relax in. Staff are friendly and prompt - an air conditioner issue was resolved quickly

A/C in our first room was really inadequate and we couldn’t sleep as it was so hot. We were moved the next day to another room with better A/C. Pillows and sheets could be better and cooling. We liked the 2nd pillow provided (long huggable) which is a great touch Coffee in communal area was 24/7 but the other amenities seemed a bit sparse. Pool area could have done with refreshments or even a vending machine? Loan towels for the beach would have been great too! Breakfast didn’t seem appetising or complete, very light options. I think this is a real miss as even partnering with the amazing bakery a few doors down would be brilliant.

This hotel is very well located at 300m from al-Rambla and the old part of the city at a walking distance. The Mercat de la Boqueria is very close. This is a very nice place to visit and taste local food. The hotel is renovated with modern materials. Although it is small, it has two elevators. There is a nice court at the back of the hotel with a small swimming pool and many chairs to relax. The windows in the rooms are soundproofed, so you do not hear anything from the street noise. The staff are very nice. As we arrived early in the morning, they offered to keep our bags in a storage until getting possession of our room later. There is a big coffee/tea machine in the side lobby where you can help yourself with any kind of hots drinks at anytime. It is open 24hrs.

The room is a bit small. Cleaning could have been better. The interior walls are quite thin, so you hear any noise from the neighbouring room, or anyone talking in the outside corridor. However it didn't happen a lot.

Everything exceeded my expectations. I booked this last minute and it was one of the few options left in Barcelona with a pool and within my budget. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The pool was much larger than I anticipated, the room was immaculate, and we loved the spacious communal areas, with nice touches such as a fridge with cold water, coffee maker, and microwave. The staff were fantastic. Cannot fault this place at all.

Would have liked a table in the room...but then discovered a picnic table by the pool and all was redeemed.

The Onix Liceo was an amazing hotel and location. It was a half block off the bustling La Rambla and its nightlife. The staff was super friendly and they helped us purchase last minute tickets into places we couldn't otherwise get into. We plan to return before our stay in Spain is finished! Excellent.

We had no complaints at all. The first night, we could not be in a room with one large bed, and the staff did everything possible to make our move on the second day quick and smooth. We just had to leave our luggage in the old room with the keys turned in so we could tour Barcelona. When we returned, our luggage was in the new room and we picked up the new keys. Wonderful service.

the location is top notch, on a side street VERY close to the main tourist areas. Staff was 10/10 and overall it had a safe and reassuring feeling. glad we picked a proper hotel and not an air B&B

the water from the tap isn't what I would call drinkable, you have to buy bottled water. we got a inner courtyard room and the window was locked so there was NO fresh air at all, sleeping sucked but the next day I spoke with the staff and they gave me a handle so I can open the window, it was better but not perfect. also I'm not sure if there is an AC unit, I don't see one and the temperature outside didn't require me to have it. I asked the hotel staff a rough estimate of a taxi cost to the airport, they said around 25-30€ but it was 45€ so that wasn't much fun.

Accommodation is in a great location, very close to different metro lines. Taxi to the airport is less than 30 euros if you don't want the hassle. Staff were really nice and friendly with very good English. Some might find not having a breakfast option as a nuisance but we're not breakfast eaters so it wasn't an issue at all for us. There were free tea, coffee and water facilities in the lounge area. Pool is small but it's intimate and private and a nice add on to relieve tired legs. Loved the simple yet functional decor. Would definitely recomment and stay again myself.

The staff were so helpful. I got a package delivered and they held it for me. Also assigned us a pool facing room knowing we were traveling with a baby, so we wouldn’t be affected by street noise. The location was excellent, across the road from Palau Guell and close to the Main Street. Lots of good food options nearby. The room was clean and bright. Pool area was lovely to hang out in after we checked out, there are also bathrooms to use and they let us store our bags as we had an evening flight.

The wifi was very slow so I had to hotspot off my husband’s phone, but that was not a big issue.
