Hotel Inglés

- the location of the hotel could not be better! On an old street, in the middle of La Rambla, close to the metro & bus stations (50 / 70 m) & Boqueria market - the staff was very nice (24 h service) and provided useful informations when needed - spacious & clean room - daily cleaning & towel change policy (included)

- not necessarily a negative thing, but considering the location of the hotel, it could get pretty noisy. It was not a big issue for us, because we considered the noise a part of the city's vibe & luckily the shops around did not open until around 10 in the morning

Having stayed in Barcelona before on this budget I can safely say this hotel exceeded my expectations. With comfy beds, a lovely bathroom and large shower, Large wardrobe, desk, aircon, heating and a lovely juliette balcony. The staff where lovely and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The tv could have been a bit bigger and there was no control on the radiator so we had to put the aircon on to combat the raging heat from the radiator as being centrally located just off La Ramblas, leaving the door open was not an option as too noisy. Just needs a thermostatic valve.

The staff were incredibly helpful if they spoke English - they arranged transport and printed out a document I needed. The location is super ideal but not nearly as noisy in terms of street noise, quite surprising. Someone was available at all hours, the room was clean and enough for 1 person, and thankfully the hotel had a lift for my heavy bag.

The mattress/bedding weren't the best (foam, etc) but I still slept fine. It would be helpful if the bathroom sink had a plug. Little street noise but the walls are relatively thin so you could hear if other guests were having louder discussions.

The location is top, next to the Rambla, close to Placa Catalunya and at walking distance from most attractions. The building is recently renovated, interiors are good and furniture is new. Room was cleaned every day and towels changed.

It was not a problem for me, but being so centric is good to keep in mind that it can be noisy even in the night. The bathroom has only one little shelf to keep your stuff and it is far away from the washbasin.

Room was always clean, had air conditioning a tiny TV, fridge, a closet and a bathroom. A couple of amenities. Location is close to La Rambla.

My room didn't had a view, just a window to an internal duct. Room walls were very thin so you can listen to what is happening next door.

The hotel was very clean. There was no dust, toilet was covered in sanitary coverage, towels smelled fresh, you receive soap, shower gel and shampoo. Even remore control from TV and glasses were in protective hygienic cover. It gets quite warm in there, but there is air conditiner. My room was not located to street, but to walls, which i didnt mind at all and I even reccomend it, so you cant hear any noise from the streets. Walls are quite thin, so if anyone on your floor is listening to music, or talks on the floor, you will hear that. What I really appreciate is that everyone was wearing face mask correctly , covering mouth and nose, even stuff. The personnel was very nice, Check out is till 12, which is longer than most of the hotels, that have check in till 10, so I found it useful. It has elevator for luggages and even though it was fully booked, it didnt feel like there were many people there. Metro station is literally 1 minute if even of walk. I was not expecting a lot, but I must say, out of all the hotels and hostels that I stayed in in Barcelona, this one is the best, especially if you care about hygiene.

Fantastic location. 1 min from Metro station.

Not as tidier and shiny as in the pictures, but Ok. What is bad is that the building itself is quite loud. You can hear both the people in the corridor as well as the people outside your balcony.

Central location in the Gottic Quarter; very friendly and helpful staff; very clean

Small rooms (not a complaint, you know this when you book, but worthwhile to mention to manage expectations)

Location is extraordinary! And the metro station is 50 m from hotel. Staff is very polite and they took our luggage after check-out, so we could enjoy city for few more hours. It is one-star hotel, so you can't expect some luxury things for that price. We were there only to sleep, we didn't spent time in room during the day. For tourists like us, the most important thing is location.

The staff were fabulous. My friend left her passport in the taxi on the way to the hotel. The staff went out of their way to assist, which certainly helped take alot of stress from the situation.

The hotel is in a busy lane that is quite noisy at night. Our room was above the lane unfortunately.
