Ramblas Hotel

Nice breakfast, great view from a room at the upper floor, clean and comfortable rooms.

Perfect location along La Rambla, right next door to Tablao. Spacious room and bathroom. Housekeeping was daily. 24 hr reception and they were very helpful. Working elevator. But very slow. They have a scale to weigh luggage’s and luggage store room that is very secure. This was great as we were flying out of Barcelona and lucked out having the scales to weight luggage after a 12 week trip.

Very noisy. Our room felt like it was the centre of all plumbing in the hotel. We could hear every toilet flush and shower during all hours. Also being next door to a Tablao we could hear all the stomping from flamenco dancers at all hours of the night. Could have more updated amenities.

The central location of this hotel is the best. We’ve been to Barça for the third time and always stayed at La Rambla, but this hotel beats the previous one with the location (and the price). The rooms are OK, could use renovation. Rooms on the 8th floor are nicer and more freshly done than those on the 9th floor. We LOVED the terrace and would chose this hotel again only because of the it! The combination of the location and the terrace is impossible to beat, especially for the money.

Our room (909) could use a little TLC. Bathroom tiles were holding for dear life, please repare them! Could be dangerous. The room on the 8th floor our friends stayed at was much prettier and newer, however their terrace faced the back of the building, our room faced La Rambla, which was extremely cool, so not mad at the room at all. Also, the breakfast could use a bit of an upgrade (more vegetables and at least boiled eggs).

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere, good breakfast, receptionist was helpful with the taxi reservation. Cute elevators accommodating only three people at the time if more then three people gets in they will not move. Few times we walked to the 8th floor and down for fun. Latter we would just split in two groups and wait patiently for the lift. Good wi-fi connection, quiet rooms, our room had cute private patio with interesting panoramic view. close to the Pierre, two blocs from metro and bazaar. We only stayed one night.

Included breakfast looked a bit grim, so joined the locals at the fabulous food market next door.

The location was perfect! We loved being so close to the Old City and the Port. So much to see and do just steps away from the hotel. The hotel has old world charm. And, having the restaurant on-site was a life saver when we arrived late from a long day of site seeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room with a large terrance that was wonderful for relaxing in the morning and evening The views and sunset were beautiful.

The only down side was that the walls are thin and on a couple of nights we could our neighbors.

Location of the property in the old city was fabulous, as could easily walk to the main tourist locations, or get to a metro station close by to save your walking. Breakfast was great as was fresh, and included all of the basics. Room was comfortable enough and really clean. Appreciated that there was a lift. Good value for money and would stay again.

The windows looked out onto other buildings and plumbings, so all curtains were kept closed making it a dark room. Given the location and old style buildings it is to be expected.

Excellent position to access all major places of interest. Staff very friendly and attentive always willing to give assistance.

The noise and vibration from the metro was a little disturbing not so much for us on the 8th floor but our friends on the 2nd floor were disturbed alot by it. We paid extra for a room with a terrace which was well worth it for the great views of the city. As a constructive criticism the terrace was only cleaned and mopped once in the 5 days we were there which was a problem after the night of rain as there was laying water which needed mopping away. The room cleaning apart from the terrace cleaning was excellent apart from the last day when we were left no bath mat or toiletries but the gentleman on reception provided extra toiletries there and then when I mentioned this.

The location of this hotel is perfect, we had easy access to transport, entertainment, food etc. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see that our room had a balcony with an ashtray🙂. The staff were very welcoming especially Marco at the front desk, and the guy at the bar, I didn't catch his name.

Breakfast was very basic, no eggs and on that particular day it was only 9am and there was no butter, it was finished. It would have been nice to take up breakfast to the room, for one of our party who couldn't make it down, but it's not allowed.

Good location. Friendly and helpful Staff. Although eggs were missing from the breakfast it was good. I also dined there and the food was very good and priced good. If you want to explore the city they will keep the luggage safe for you if you arrive early and even if you need to leave later after check out. Metro stations close by. It was an easy task to reach the airport with only 1 metro change. It took only around 45 min to arrive.

Persons in adjacent rooms can be heard. Rumbling of the metro train as it passes underneath.
