Hotel El Castell

OK then. Beautiful views from the pool and patio looking back towards Barcelona and the airport from this boutique old castle on the highest part of Sant Boie. I was pleasantly surprised how big the room and bath (with biddet) was. Good heat pump pumping out lots of cold air. Pool was great, 7feet at deep end. Enjoyed Sangrias and olives and sandwiches on their patio at lunch. Staff were fine. Some spoke English better than others, but hey, it is their country. 15 minutes from the airport, 25 EU. Note, if you have a lot of luggage, ask for a taxi Grande!

Nothing. The place was inexpensive and very serene after a 40 day cruise.

It’s an old hotel, don’t expect luxury, but! The rooms are of good size, beds are comfortable and clean, breakfast is very good-you will have hot food, good coffee, fruits, yogurts, cereals, cuts, cheese-very good for the future travel. And yes-it is a place to spend a night before the flight, the airport is 15 min away without traffic. Very good option, we do recommend it and will use it again when flying from Barcelona. Oh, yes-it was nicely decorated for Christmas and the stuff was very friendly and helpful,

The rooms definitely need a reform , but as I said-this hotel is not for luxury, it works well for its purpose.

We spent 4 nights so we could visit Barcelona without the hassle of driving our car and at a lower cost. Free parking here and we could walk to the train station. Cost only 5 Euros round-trip into the center - a nice, 20 minute ride. ( It is downhill to the station but we're ok with walking.) The hotel used to be a castle and the public spaces are pretty. There were events during our stay, but the noise stopped by 10 and we weren't bothered. It was fun to see people having a good time. Good wifi

The rooms do need some remodeling and photos don't show the wear but we were happy with our room.

gorgeous building with lovely staff and great value for money! the breakfast was decent too. the restaurant wasn’t my favorite but it was really handy to have it as an option. room was super clean and remade regularly. the pool is beautiful and for the most part the property is quiet. the area is super quiet and peaceful, and also well connected by buses, metros, and trams.

the food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing. there was a couple of days when there were fictions happening in the hotel, and on these days the pool was super busy. there wasn’t enough loungers to accommodate everyone but it was usually super quiet!

A charming hotel. We had a large and clean room, a spacious bathroom too. The hotel is located at the top of a hill making it a nice and quiet place to stay. The free parking in front of the entrance is very convenient. They also welcome pets, which was important for us having a dog. In the morning, we were a bit late for the breakfast, but were perfectly served nevertheless. It was our second time at this hotel, and we look forward to using it again in the future when travelling to or through Barcelona.

The staff are very helpful and welcoming, Noel in particular went above and beyond. The room was great, having a private garden and allowing us to bring our dog is exactly what we needed. The breakfast was extensive and tasty. We had problems with our car driving through France and they moved the booking to the next night with no problems.

The location is a little far from the city centre by public transport and a top a large steep hill.

Wonderful meals. Great view. And that pool! So good😍 the staff was really nice and helpful.

Prepare yourself for a very steep rise if you're on foot. But free exercise ☺️ at first the impression was that the rooms are outdated but we found that it suits the enterior. The aircon could ve been newer.

Hotel was beautiful, rooms were clean and Air con was a blessing, the terrace was a nice space to relax.

Unfortunately, the location wasn't ideal for finding eateries/restaurants, we were invited to dine at the Hotel, but it was hosting an event and we had an early flight. That's being very pernickety as the rest of our stay was brilliant

Great value for money, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, quiet on a night time, free parking, views from the pool.

The property was dated, garden room Wasn’t worth paying extra for, the pool itself looks rather unclean.

We were a bit apprehensive after reading the mixed reviews, but our experience was a very pleasant one! Hotel team was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Our room was comfortable and clean with all the essentials, very quiet and beautiful views. You could smell the pine trees and hear the owls and other nature sounds. We enjoyed hotel amenities and it's beautiful views from the swimming pool. Excellent quality-price ratio considering Barcelona prices and close location to the airport. We would repeat again!

There are a few aspects that could be improved, but not relevant enough to be mentioned as it didn't impact our overall experience.
