New Siam Riverside - SHA Certified

Location was great, short walk to Khao San Road. We were a group of 6 (3 couples). We and one other couple had river view balcony rooms on level 6 which were comfortable with large balconies and a great view of the river. Our other friends were on level 2 in river view balcony room, their balcony was smaller than ours but their room was bigger. Rooms were quite soundproof, given the river traffic. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had a good selection. We would definitely stay here again. We all brought the workers that were re grouting the pool a beer each on one of the very hot days. They were extremely grateful and happy, even the hotel staff were appreciative of gesture.

The pool was out of use our entire stay due to re grouting, but we were able to use a sister hotels pool across the road, so was not really an issue.

The staff is great. The lady in the restaurant remember what I didn’t like even when I forgot to mention it at another day, Amazing!!! The location is great short distance from the tourist boat and many attractions! The man selling tours let us know how to protect from being tricked by tuk tuks and taxis. People enjoyed the pool and terrace

The room is messy and updated. Changing the lighting and decluttering it might help. A room for three people isn’t the greatest option due to space

Warm welcoming stuff! Very helpful in any way. The pool was clean and you are getting pool towels for free. a little bar close to the pool, which was probably still closed because of Corona. They have a restaurant too. The breakfast was not that much of a choice, but enough to find something for everyone. Very close to the bus stop to the airport, to the ferry stop and to Khaosan Road. They kept parts of our luggage for 2 weeks for free and all our luggage the whole day until we started for the airport. They have a little travel agency with a very helpful man named JOE. For little extra commission he is arranging f.ex. train tickets and so on for you, so you are able to spend more time to do something else.

Breakfast when sitting outside beware of the dove. They steel your food from your plate when you are up to get something else from the buffet. Our one balcony door was not working proper, but it was possible to get on the balcony when you know the trick.

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. We were initially put in a room facing the road outside and it was quite noisy - I am autistic and was quite worried about this, but my sister explained the situation to staff and they very quickly moved us to another room. The room was spacious, quiet and clean with a nice bathroom and shower. This is our second time staying at this hotel and we would recommend it to anyone travelling to Bangkok.

Be wary that if your room is near the main road it is extremely noisy due to traffic - there is a lot of it in Bangkok, including noisy motorbikes.

Not only is New Siam Residence located in the perfect location for travellers, your experience within the hotel will be excellent. Customer service is exceptional, informative and accommodating to all situations. The staff are very understanding. Use the information/travel booth in the corner of the front lobby for excursions to surrounding areas (i.e. Erawan, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai) as you will receive the best service as well as the best rate for getting to your next location. Breakfast service in the morning is perfect for your day ahead. Pool facilities are top notch and hit the spot every time.

Absolutely nothing to note.

Location was perfect for sightseeing (the river bus is a minute's walk at most) and there are lots of options for eating in the immediate vicinity (didn't eat there in the evening but no reason to think it would not be good). Hotel is very clean and rooms were large and well equipped. Excellent breakfast immediately next to the Chao Praya. Relatively large pool with sensational views. Staff very helpful arranging laundry and trips out. We had rooms with balconies over the river - I can't imagine a better place to stay in the city irrespective of the relatively modest price.

Balcony was much larger, but rooms were smaller. Great view of river and quite pretty at night. Rooms were surprisingly very soundproof, particularly given river traffic. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was in a great little location with restaurants and bars close by. Short walk also to Khao San Road. Very lively at night. Breakfast had a good selection. Would definitely stay here again. We all brought the workers of the pool a beer each (8 large Leo's) on one of the warmer days. They were very happy. Even the hotel staff were appreciative of gesture

Only downside was during the entirety of our stay the pool was closed for maintenance. However we had access to sister hotel pool directly across the road. Happy we were still able to cool off.

Outside dining and bar tables next to the river. Breakfast had good variety. Beers are reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower was fine and the bed was comfortable. The aircon worked well. The S1 bus from BKK goes right past the hotel

The rooms are a little dated. The electricity turns off when the key is removed, so the room can become a sauna when you return Our room had a (locked) connecting door to an adjoining room - and the occupants were rather noisy at times. Keep a record of the beers you consume. We would have been overcharged - probably a genuine mistake

Pool.area, breakfast, close to so many great restaurants and bars, and so easy to get around from the river buses stop very close-by. The superior garden view we ended up with was great value for money to include breakfast, pool use and great location.

Pool area needs sweeping regularly. WiFi reception in rooms is poor, no drinks on the terrace after 21.30. We arrived early but were told we had been downgraded from riverview room due to overbooking......we were pretty annoyed. Beware as this seems to happen all the time here.

Perfect location close to river transport, bus and trains, in the historical area walking distance to the major temples and the Royal Palace. Being Riverside was lovely for breakfast and use of the pool. Exciting to see the world going by. Rooms are well decorated, functional and clean. Staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful - they cannot be faulted.

Aircon takes the edge off the heat but isn't very powerful - probably environmentally friendly though. It definitely brings the temperature down!
