Villa De Khaosan by Chillax - SHA Extra Plus

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and was pleasantly surprised with my stay. The hotel is located on a main road (unlike many other BKK hotels I have stayed in which were in side streets) about a 2 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the popular Khaosan road. The staff were professional, attentive and very friendly. I frequently asked the receptionist to call travel agents and taxi services for me and they were happy to do this without hesitation. Room looked exactly like in the pics advertised. My room (400) was spacious and the bed was comfortable. You can log in to netflix/ hbo max/ youtube etc on the big screen tv in your room using your account, and they have both local and international channels available. 2 free bottles of water per day, free toiletries, daily housekeeping. In-room safe where you can store valuables and make your own access code. Universal plugs in room so no need to bring plug adapters. A/C was kept on by housekeepers during the whole stay, which was nice, especially after a full day of sightseeing. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Bangkok.

There was construction next to the hotel which didn't matter unless you wanted to chill at the pool at which point you heard it. Not much they can do about that but it was unfortunate timing.

The room was great, staff were brilliant, the location was excellent. Very close to Khoasan Road and not far from The Grand Palace.

The swimming pool area was locked off after sunset, it would have been nice to go up and admire the view at night. The aircon was a little tricky to use at times. These are only minor points. They did not impact our otherwise great stay.

Nice modern hotel with good facilities, pool is an added bonus too. Staff are lovely and breakfast is good price. Ideally located near to Khaosan Road and the Grand Palace walking distance between both.

There was a loud building site next door which woke us up both mornings but this isn’t the fault of the hotel. We found it a bit of a shame that the rooftop bar and pool area was closed off from 10pm as we would have liked to sit on the terrace in an evening. Also we didn’t realise that our bedroom (deluxe double room) didn’t have an external window, just an internal window facing into the lobby.

Breakfast wasn’t really good and the noice from the streets and other rooms is crazyy.. bring ear plugs!

Great location, near to all the main temples and close to night life but also quiet in the rooms. Very clean and well decorated rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop pool and bar service was a great bonus.

Breakfast great value for money as long as you were hungry enough to eat loads in the morning. One day I only had a coffee and a glass of orange juice and still charged full price. Bar service closes at 6pm which I think is too early. While we were staying there, building work on the plot next to the hotel meant that sleeping in was a bit difficult due to noise after 9am.

Location. Room was comfortable. Room service was good. Food was good. Very nice staff.

There was a smell like the room has been closed for a while. Took a day or two to disappear. Also not on the hotel itself but have in mind the neighborhood around the hotel was kind of dangerous. We really couldn’t walk outside of Khaosan Road much, a lot of people sleeping on the streets and dirty streets. Which was very sad to see due to the many golden statues and gigantic images of royalty around. Next time maybe I’ll stay in a different neighborhood and just visit Khaosan Road by grab or taxi.

We paid a little bit extra to upgrade the room and it was totally worth it. It was big, with a nice view and comfortable bed. The staff were nice and the breakfast had everything needed (buffet), we even had room service several times and the food was great (Their signature burger is highly recommended). The highlight was the location of the place which is really close to some touristic attractions and the swimming pool that was absolutely needed.
