D&D Inn Khaosan

Right in the heart of Khaosan Road, this hotel is perfect if you want to be in the middle of this area, but still want some quality and value for money. Yes it's noisy, and I won't mark it down for that because I read the reviews before I went. The lady on reception checked if I was happy to have a room at the front, and offered to change it if I wasn't happy with the noise. I didn't, I loved the sound. The pool and bar on the roof is the perfect escape from the madness below. Beautiful pool, with a fab view and a reasonably priced bar. Very pleased with my stay here 👌

Location was right in the heart of the khao san experience. Reception was clean and tidy and had plenty of staff. It was nice and cool, which was very welcoming from the Thai heat....it also had a baggage hold area that was free of charge. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.... bathroom had toiletries, which was a bonus. The pool area was amazing with fantastic views and plenty of sunbeds, with a bar area.

The very heavy base vibrations coming from the bars.....we opted for a quiet room, but unfortunately, there seems to be no restrictions on noise levels in the area and we could feel/ hear the base even though we were staying 4 floors up until 6am. So be warned this could affect your stay.

Booking this hotel depends on what you are looking for. We just needed somewhere to stay for one night at the beginning and again at the end of our Thailand tour for which it was ideal. The price is excellent and the rooftop pool is perfect for the heart of Khao San Road, towels are provided which is great if you are travelling home and won't be able to dry your own. Reception being 24 hours is perfect as our flights were usually in the middle of the night. Room sizes were good (we had a standard double).

Be prepared this is not a hotel you would go to for rest, being in the heart of Khao san road it is very noisy and that noise can be heard in the rooms. Additionally, we did book a room with a window for one of our stays and the room was exactly the same as the without window option wed stayed in before.

Pool was really clean and had a fun atmosphere. The room was well insulated from noise: despite the loud street below, the room was relatively quiet. Helpful staff, with concierge service. Helped me with printing, and helped me make some phone calls. Also gave good advice for attractions and transport.

It is a great place! That's all I have to say. Having no windows is definitely not ideal, so I wouldn't stay there long-term, but once you hear how loud Khao San road is, you become very grateful for a room which can effectively keep that noise out, so i actually appreciated the window-less setup.

We stayed at first in the old part of the D and D hotel but I’m telling you it’s such a cheap easy upgrade to the newer part for very little per night all thanks to the AMAZING manager at the front. He changed our room a few times and didn’t even hesitate to help us out. I tipped him as much as I could bc his hospitality was just beyond what I expected. I would recommend booking at the newer wing and if you have any problems just talk to the main manager at the front bc he’s really incredible and helped our whole group out. Hotel was clean and new and we loved the hectic mess vibe.

Original room booked was a bit too loud for me and my three kids 😉

The location was centered on Khaosan Road. Safe environment. The roof top pool with full bar and food options was excellent. Large clean lobby, quick elevators, no unwelcoming smells. No bugs, ant or rodents. The shower and water pressure was great and equipped with necessities. The room was adequate for the price, not at all disappointed.

Stayed 2 nights, didn't get maid service, however, was able to grab what I needed from the maid. Hallways were outdated and in need of fresh paint or renovation. Balcony was unusable.

very enjoyable stay,, but be advised that location is on the main entertainment street and bars etc are open till 5am (its noisy)... but its a decent location, so many food outlets and bars.... the hotel building is rather old but well clean and tidy,,, the staff are too helpful, haha.... the roof pool is superb and super clean.. bar/cafe is adequate, staff are lovely.... all said and done would stay again no problem.....

Room was perfect in size, everything was clean, tv working, bed was comfy, Ac was working perfectly for the crazy hot days! Working hot water from the shower was very nice.Honestly i'm impressed by the quality size and location of my hotel room! Was amazing couldn't be asking for more to be honest. Close to bars, close to amazing food, close to stores to do shopping amazing rooftop pool, food delivery to the room, like honestly what else could you be asking at this price point ?

The fact no one came to clean up my room in 3 days... But not like it got dirty or something, maybe they passed when I put on the do not disturbed sign when I was busy in the room 🙊 Except that if you're a family or someone quiet maybe another choice of hotel would be better because it is a street to have fun and do party, I got impressed that the clubs are playing music until like 6am ! I loved it ! But for someone searching zenitude and calm.... I was on floor #4 and felt a little bit of bass from time to time, I was awake until the morning because of work it didn't disturbed me but for some people that wants to sleep maybe 😅

Good location if you like to party and stay up until late. You can sleep after 4am, before that you need good ear plugs. The pool and rooftop are nice. The room was clean, hot shower, good pressure and comfortable with a working a/c. Free water every day.

The bed was a bit hard, but this is normal in Asia and difficult to avoid. The walls are vibrating from the bass from the bar downstairs (our room had window towards the backyard, you still feel the bass), we stayed put late so it didn't bother us, but if you want to sleep earlier then find another place. There are no towel hooks or other ways to hang your towels, and only two coat hangers. Nowhere to put your clothes other than leave them in your suitcase on the floor. This could easily be improved. All in all, good place if you want to be in the middle of the party at night, and in the centre of Bangkok, at a good price.
