Sala Arun

The staff and location. I was in need of some medication, Khunyai and John, helped me immensely. Khunyai found an appropriate pharmacy and John took me there on his bike. I had issues with my card and John loaned me the money! This was above and beyond. Thank you very much. I would also like the say that the kindness from ALL the staff was in helping me with my additional needs was very much appeciated. Once again thank you.

the view is absolutely amazing, and the balconies are really private. bed is super super comfortable, as the pillows. the room is nice, with hot water in the shower, bathrobes, spacious. it’s very very very nice. the breakfast is great!! the eggs are the best I had. I have only good things to say about it and will stay here again. it might seem in a far location and in the middle of some alleys which might be a bit weird at night, but don’t worry. it’s very very easy to get to touristic locations as you have two piers right next to it as well as the MTR station (rajinee). it’s very well located, really.

I loved it. maybe the price could be a little lower. I don’t mind, but keep in mind is a very very busy restaurant also, so there’s stairs to walk up to the rooms that might be not suitable for elders/children. the entrance is shared with the restaurant and there’s always a LOT of people. we didn’t mind at all though.

The location is outstanding with Wat Pho across the street, the Grand Palace down the block, the MRT underground rail a couple blocks away & the pier to cross Bangkok's main river to Wat Arun. The room was serenely comfortable, but I didn't get much sleep as I was so taken in by the view from my balcony of the boats passing by & the majesty of Wat Arun across the Chao Praya River. Although I did visit the rooftop bar which offered a great view, I chose to spend most of my time on my room's balcony. Sala Arun left a lasting impression & has become a go-to place for rejuvenation of peace & tranquility within my being. The restaurant on the main floor is the stage to the majesty of Wat Arun. The food was delicious & the staff excellent. This was a great find & a keeper for the future.

The lighting in the bathroom was a little on the dark side, but to be honest, it played off the wood so well that it almost transports you back in time. I simply love Sala Arun & will return with a large group of friends to experience the zen.

The view is breathtaking! Also, the location is within walking distance (10 min or less) from several temples and other sights.

This hotel does NOT have an elevator - hauling luggage up and down the stairs is difficult. We were there during the hottest time of year so the stairs climbing was not fun. Also, being on the riverfront sounds romantic, but it is very polluted and garbage floating around. This is not the hotel's fault but one should be aware that the river is far from pristine.

I just lived going back to the hotel after a long day … the view of Wat Arun is just captivating too dreamy so beautiful

somehow after a long thought … i came to the conclusion that Oh no what if i needed an ambulance or something ….really because there’s no one around to help you in case of real emergency because by 10:30 at night the entire staff go home and you are left on your own !!! there’s no one around anymore by 11:00 at night !!! thats hard if in case there is a Health emergency or a i dont know like a fire or robbery

Incredible location - just a few steps away from the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, with an absolute view of Wat Arun. You could just spend the all evening in your own room looking out the window. Easy walk to pier for ferries, flower district and MRT line. Since there is a rooftop bar and so close to everything, those sensitive to noise at night might need a quieter place, but the soundproofing is not too bad. no lift. if it’s your first time in Bangkok this is the ideal spot to get a taste of everything

The view - it is what was promised - a very good view of Wat Arun from your room balcony. The facility and location is also superb, very convenient to travel.

The room door lock is a bit loose and the wall is very thin - you basically can here everyone walking upstair to the hotel bar till 11 pm and those who are in the restaurant next door since they share the same wall.

The location is gold!! On one side we see Wat Arun (and the river)and on the other, we see Wat Po! The roof top bar is great too. The area is clean and quiet after 18:00.

Some repairs and renovations required! And we noticed lack of cleaning details, dusts on rims and frames of windows, stairs, pictures, dirt marks on walls, carpets need shampooing or changed.

The location was great, the staff super friendly. And the view on the Wat Arun just stunning! The restaurant was great, and the roof terrasse was fun!

People with limited walking capabilities might struggle with the steep stare case. For us it was fine.

The view of this accommodation is exactly how it is made out in the pictures. It's a beautiful and unique experience. The accommodation itself is exactly as made out in the pictures. Very spacious rooms. Clean and tidy. Very cool and comfortable.
