If you ever go to Bangkok you have to stay at Neighbor Phuthon. I would describe this has a first-rate bed-n-breakfast. Oh, and the breakfast is freaking AMAZING!! The owner "Em" was the greatest host and always happy to assist you with whatever you need. He even took the time to go with us to a local restaurant to help us order. Above and beyond my expectations!! The room a good size with very comfortable and very clean living quarters. Did I mention the amazing breakfast?? There were so many wonderful attractions and temples in this Old Town area of Bangkok within walking distance of the hotel. Highly highly recommend!!

All really good

It allows a tourist to genuinely feel a local old fashioned neighborhood. Not overly renovated to take the soul out yet comfortable with modern showers and aircon etc. Great homestyle, rather fancy, breakfast. Walkable lowrise area. Amazing palaces and temples all around. Wonderful people from owner to cleaner to the ice cream shop next door (no affiliation). Check out Saranrom Park nearby for walking and exercise. Very glad to have stayed here, and thanks to everybody involved in making this place!

The host is an awesome person. He is really likable and actively engages with his guests. He has a lot of valuable tips for guests and is always around for any kind of questions or assistance. We really liked the courtyard and the neighborhood in general. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions. There is also a great restaurant close by called Daeng. You get to enjoy traditional Thai breakfast and while this might not be for everyone we really enjoyed it. Also there is great coffee. There is also a bar beside the hotel which although is a bit noisy, also brings a lot of atmosphere to the whole street.

The only downside we can think of is the not soundproof rooms. But for us this was completely fine.

my daily changing vegan Thai breakfast was a highlight! On arrival I paid extra to upgrade to the triple room (room8) as it was much nicer than my original room (room 1). I highly recommend room 8 if it is within your budget; big, beautiful wooden floors, massive comfy bed with seating area and 4 lovely shuttered windows looking out onto the square of traditional shop houses Great location, could walk to everything I wanted to see (temples, river, restaurants). Em was a lovely host with good advice and made great coffee :)

Em the host was exceptional. We found the rooms to be spotless and the bed was perfect. Early am before he got too busy, he was around to make an Americano, chat, make suggestions. Breakfast was probably some of the best food we had in Bangkok. Hard to believe so much was included for the price. The location is in old Bangkok which is walking distance to the grand palace, temples. We used trains and taxis. Blue line is 0.5 miles away, an easy walk. Took taxi to weekend market and train back. Lots of street food around there; we took taxi to Chinatown which was a truly remarkable place; not for those who do not enjoy crowds, bright lights…. Wish we could have stayed longer.

So much to love about choosing to stay here. Yes, the place is stylish, comfortable and in a great location. You will 100% feel special, at home, well cared for and in safe hands. The character of the buildings adds a unique, stylish, and authentic vibe. So hard to find in this amazing city. Lots of great and small places to eat in the surrounding courtyard. Oh, yes, don't miss the ice cream at the place next door. My second stay here. It's my happy place! I will return every time I stay in Bangkok to enjoy being here.

Perfect location in the heart of a Thai neighborhood. The host Mr. M was the best host we've ever had, and he gave us great info on the area, food, and Thai culture. Walking distance to all the Old Bangkok temples and the Royal Palace. Fantastic little Thai restaurants and street food right outside the door. This small boutique hotel has only seven rooms, a great cafe, and the free breakfasts were excellent. 10 stars. Great for people who want to live simply and be with and get know the Thai people.

A little fridge in the room would have been nice, but you are steps away from restaurants who will give you drinks and beer to go.

We had a great time at neighbor Phuthon:) Em is the best host one can wish for. He is approachable, super nice and prepares the best breakfast! Everyday he surprised us with another delicious Thai breakfast (all vegan for us😊) and was very thoughtful about it. We are traveling for a while now and haven’t had such a great breakfast experience 😁 the coffee is also very good and Em chooses specialty coffee beans. The hotel is nicely located in the old town and not far away from the main temples or the Royal palace. Bus stations or MRT is in walking distance as are nice restaurants or food stalls. Since the building is quite old (protected historic site) one might hear footsteps or the neighbours talking, so in case one is a bit sensitive to noise, ear plugs are nice to have. We would stay here any time again and it made our Bangkok experience even better. Thanks a lot Em. We hope to see you again and wish you all the best 😊

Location was amazing right in the centre of the old town. Beautiful courtyard in the centre of building. Staff was lovely and helpful (provided lovely guide book of the area on the first day). Traditional breakfast provided - best breakfast we had during our trip to Thailand!

It was no frills in terms of the room and facilities (it did had all the essentials and lovely decor) - but absolutely worth it in terms of value, beautiful building and you wouldn't be expecting to spend too much time in the room itself when you are in the heart of Bangkok!
