Tiny Taladnoi Hostel

Room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was very nice. After check-out, they let us leave the bags there for the day, and even offered us a shower if we wanted to once we returned to pick it up, which is great considering the Bangkok heat!

Fourth floor without elevator - for us it was not a problem, but if you heavier luggage just be aware

The host is absolutely extraordinary - she is so hospitable, helpful, caring and easy going! She makes you feel so much at home! Every day we had something for breakfast (fruit, buns, one day a Thai soup + every day a cup of coffee). Before the check-in and after check-out we could leave our baggage at the reception and go for a walk. The hostel is within a walking distance from Chinatown - a vibrant, lively place with great abundance of local, Thai or Chinese-influenced food. Also just a stone's throw from the river boat stop (Marine Dept.), which is a starting point to get to main attractions like: main temples or the Grand Palace. Go for it!

If you need a lift to reach higher floors, please note there is no lift in this place (but the host will help you with the baggage, if needed). It was a little noisy in the morning (nothing very uncomfortable but just be aware it is not so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. But really it is very much OK.

not much open restaurant at night, dark road with not much light on the way to restaurants near river but other than that is very nice

We had a private double room with private bath, so our room was on the 4th floor (there is no elevator, which weren’t an issue for us, but just to keep in mind if you have issues with lots of stairs). The bathroom was modern which was nice and the room was simple and small, but enough for what we needed. There’s counter space and a closet too, good for storage. The best part was the kind family who owned the hotel — always made sure we had what we needed, and the owner escorted us out to our cab after checkout, helping with our bags. We spent 3 days in Bangkok, and this was all we needed really.

There were ants on our bed when we checked in — eventually more did not show up but just something to note

If, like me, you prefer a homely yet private stay, this is the place for you. Mrs P'Nok runs a new (6 months as of Sep 2023) four-storey hostel/hotel that feels like a homestay, complete with her family and cats in the living/dining room/reception, friendly smiles, and a helpful, caring nature. I stayed in the private room on the fourth floor, and appreciated its quiet, clean, and spacious qualities. The TaladNoi/Chinatown neighbourhood is very charming too, with quaint and industrial businesses next to hipster cafes and restaurants. Thank you P'Nok and family!

Minor stuff: the exterior of the kettle gets really hot, so be careful not to burn your fingers. There were some mosquitoes or flies in the room, but they didn't bite me.

Best host ever, super friendly and caring. Location is 10/10 as well, could not be better. Quiet, safe, walking distance to both boat and subway. Many great bars and restaurants around, as well as 7-11, malls, anything you can wish for. Also, we were allowed to use the showers even after checkout because we had an evening flight to catch. It was a game changer after a day of steaming Bangkok. Thank you so much and see you next time!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tiny Taladnoi! The family was super sweet and friendly. They had a cosy common area downstairs where we could prepare and eat our breakfast in the morning. The room was bigger then expected with comfortable beds and AC. The shared bathroom was spotless. Also, the location is great. It's just a 10min walk from China town where you can find delicious streetfood. We would definitely recommend it!

The people who manage the place speak great English and are very helpful and kind. The double bed was really big and comfy, shower always had hot water, we even got inside slippers, bottled water that was restocked on our second day of stay and constant suggestions for free snacks :) also did our laundry (the washing powder they provided smells heavenly), sat in the porch a lot (in the evenings some young guys from around come sing there and play some guitar, super romantic!). 7-11 is literally around the corner together with street food vendors and some things to see. We checked out Riverview rooftop (5min walk), Taladnoi market as well as Pratu Nam and Mo Phet Mo Ploi markets, all max 20 min walk away. Best time to go there is before 10 while it’s still not too hot and all the action is in progress!

The perfect location in Bangkok. Lots of great food within a minute walk, good Thai massage around the corner and such an interesting neighborhood to explore. Just a 2 minute walk to the orange flag ferry on the river (highly recommended), 15 minute walk to the center of Chinatown and MRT (subway) station. Friendly family that runs the place and makes you feel right at home. For the price the rooms are adequate and are kept sparkling clean with nice bed linens.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and I would say it was a great first time. Tiny Taladnoi Hostel was very well located close to the pier to Icon Siam and Yaowarat China Town. Everything was quite good and better than I expected sleeping at a hostel would be. The bed, bathroom and toilets were clean and the owner of the hostel was really nice. She made me feel at home. Thank you for the stay🙏🏻❤️

The bedroom had a funny smell. It could come from the air-co.
