Talakkia Boutique Hotel

There’s a lot to like here! fantastic location right next to Chinatown. Clean, efficient, very affordable rooms. Fantastic staff who were always so kind and helpful! Overall definitely recommend this place.

Great property, just a couple suggestions to make it even better: could use a nightstand next to the bed and a table or shelf in the bathroom for a little bit of storage. There’s not really anywhere to set anything. The rooms are quite small. It wouldn’t be so bad except that the industrial chic design is VERY dark and there is only one small window. Longer term guests you will get depressed in the darkness.

We initially booked Talakkia Boutique for 1 week but ended up extending it for another two weeks as we just fell in love with the area. Talakkia is a 10-mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown (a must-go), 5-mins from Rivercity where you can pick up a free shuttle boat to the newly built Iconsiam shopping wall which is also worth a visit, a 7-mins walk to Si Phraya Pier where you can get the local boat down the river to Wat Arun, The Grand Palace and Khao San Road, etc. I highly recommend taking this boat, it's a lot of fun! You are also close to Bang Rak which has some great coffee shops and restaurants and tasting menus. The staff at Talakkia are all lovely, welcoming and very happy - their English is limited but you get by. The room is slightly on the small side but you're in Bangkok so I doubt you'd spend much time in the room. Aside from that the bed is extremely comfortable and you can get your room cleaned every day. If you want to stay away from the tourist hub of Khao San I would definitely recommend staying here at Talakkia, it's very local still but close to everything

The hotel is very comfortable, with perfect and very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a good breakfast. I enjoyed every single moment, including the shower with a good pressure of water and perfect shampoo & bath gel. Both of them of a good quality! I was also kindly surprised with a SPA pool available until midnight. I consider this as a very good and practical solution - when you return back from a trip, you still have an opportunity to enjoy the pool. Thank you!

We had an amazing time here, this hotel is beautiful, so clean, spacious, lovely cafe / shop, great food and drinks, staff were all incredible so friendly and helpful, really made us feel welcome! We loved our room it was brilliant, had everything you needed, bed was the comfiest we’ve had for 6 months of travels, plenty of space for our things, shower was great, aircon was lovely and very nicely decorated, loved the whole hotels theme and pool was a bonus, rooftop area was so pretty and awesome views, couldn’t have found a better place and location to stay long term, the perfect introduction to Thailand and Bangkok, lots of street food, shops and transport near by, but very quiet at night so we slept really well! 100% recommend this hotel we will definitely be back!

I really loved MO, who is the person from reception who works during the night (7pm-6am). thank you so much for our conversations and your kindness. It was supposed to be a 4 nights trip In this hotel but I added 7 more nights In Talakkia especially thanks to you. wish you the best. loved also the Chinese place and the restaurants near the hotel especially the one from the family who leads the hotel.

unfortunately the walls are thin and we can hear everything In details at night 😅 including the most awkward things that you can imagine. Plus, the pool was very small in comparison of the picture.

Me and my brother spent 5 nights here. It was such a comfy stay! The beds and pillows were so soft, we had the best sleep. The staff are always smiling and happy to help, we loved chatting to them in the morning and at night when we returned. They went above and beyond for us. The shower was really big, fridge and kettle were a bonus. We read by the pool one-day and had a few yummy breakies there (the pancakes, yummm). So close to Chinatown markets and the MRT was a short walk. Would def be back! Thanks for hosting us 🙂

Small and cosy hotel. Comfortable room, despite it was a bit small. Modern design which was appreciated after several months in mere accommodations! Small swimming-pool to enjoy after a long hot day. Close to Si Phraya pier, so easy to enjoy Chao Praya activities.

Room was a bit small but it’s ok (we stayed 1 week and it was not problem). The hotel surroundings are not beautiful, but the location is so easy that finally, we didn’t mind it.

Very clean, comfortable, and stylish hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the kettle and fridge were a nice addition. The location for exploring China town was great, and only a 10 - 15 minute walk to either the MRT or BTS

The only small downside was that there isn't much storage space for luggage or putting clothes away, but that's just a small detail :)

The hotel is very conveniently located. It's close enough to the shopping and food heaven called Chinatown, but far enough to offer peace and quiet. The room was clean (but can get a bit tight if you have a lot of luggage). Everything you need is available in the room. The hotel has a spa, which we did not use. The staff is incredibly polite, but communication with some of them was difficult because of the language barrier. But it's not a reason to not stay here.

The room was a bit small, so manoeuvring around can be difficult.

Beautiful location in Talad Noi. Great small pool and well taken care of, though some guests seemed to live in the pool. OK rooftop from which you can see some landmarks of BangRak. Nice staff. Aircons worked well.

Room a bit empty. Not enough hangers. Food slightly overpriced. TV not good. And you can't open room windows.
