Fantastic Location, only minutes walk away from most of the main attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff who always took the time to help with any questions. Sehmus was extremely helpful and provided us with excellent customer service. Lovely open garden to sit next to with the breakfast buffet that served a wide variety of tasty food options. Greta family room option with 2 adjoining rooms interconnected which meant a lot of floor space and 2 bathrooms.

Some more "continental" options would have been a bonus

We really enjoyed our stay at the Obelisk hotel. We are a family of 5 and booked 2 interconnecting rooms. The rooms were clean and of a typical size in the area and had everything we needed. Breakfast was nice and variety ok. Location was excellent, just a short walk away from the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and the tram stop. Staff at Obelisk were amazing and made our stay truly memorable. We went on the Bosphorus cruise tour as recommended by reception and it was great. When we had an issue booking a ferry online, Zeki offered to help and spent a long time booking it for us - thank you so much. A bit thanks to all the staff who were always warm and helpful.

Really as expected especially the deluxe room 20m sq, with street windows. Clean well maintained and spacious. Thank you for all the service. The hotel is located very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. The hotel staff is extremely professional and caring for the customer needs. Especially staff Zeki, Serkan Sehmus Yunus were kind and helpful, even the cleaners were very professional, they went extra mile for us. I highly recommend this hotel as it is accessible to lot of tourist places, good connectivity for tram and excellent service by all the staff. And the most important and comfortable things are the pillows and bed after a long walking day.

Nothing it was as expected

Air conditioner worked great. But room heated up rapidly when you removed the card key to make it run when you left the room. Patio nice with the swing. Breakfast was what was expected, good not great. Staff was amazing though throughout stay. Always wanting to assist. Elevator very helpful. Great location.

The room was odd with the low rooflines. Had to be careful not to bang heads. Very little ventilation in bathroom. Thought the cost for what you received was too high.

-own terrace with sea and Blue Mosque view -clean and spacious room and bathroom -central location (2 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque, however quiet) -everyday cleaning -super helpful staff -comfortable bed -strongbox in a room -birthday congratulations cake

nothing to say here :) it would be nice to add plaids for sitting on a terrace and bath robes.

This hotel was a perfect fit for us. We didn’t want to live on a busy street but we also wanted to be close to the main attractions. The hotel is situated perfectly, it’s just 2 minutes walking distance to Blue Mosque. Also we really liked the view from our room, it’s mesmerizing! On one side we have Blue Mosque on the other we have Sea of Marmara.

During breakfast there wasn’t any music in the restaurant. I know that it’s cheesy to say but it would be great to have some background sounds while you are eating ☺️

I like their service the most specially Izmail the reception who did extra miles to assist us in many ways possible, bravo to him ! The cleaning ladies duo did fantastic job. Location was superb 2 minutes walk to Aya Sofya and Blue Mosque, right in the middle of tourist spots , shops and restaurants but very quiet.

Enforcing non smoking rooms. Apply a fine system to guests who smoking in the room. Smoking guests are big problem in Turkey hotel industry

The breakfast at the Obelisk was stellar. It is prepared and laid out like a feast each morning with eggs, friuit, cheeses, and dozens of other treats that are nutritious and delightful. Compared to America’s finest hotels with their “ free” breakfasts- I’d give them a “1” and the Obelisk a “10”- with 10 being the uttermost excellence.

No complaints- even the cleaning lady is a smiling Angel!

Superb location close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Really nice room, quite comfortable and big. Great breakfast, lots of options and quite tasty (and lots of food left even towards the end, for those who prefer late breakfasts). The staff, especially Zeki Zerkan, were all very helpful and friendly, helping with different requests such as arranging a transfer or providing additional blankets.

Woke up every morning at 5am because of very loud muezzin calls — some soundproofing would be nice. The bedsheet was not very new (had a hole in it), but admittedly clean. Also would be great if the room had “Do Not Disturb” / “Please Clean the Room” sign inside, so that you didn’t have to ask reception for it.
