Blue House Hotel

Hotel blue house is about 5 minutes to blue mosque and hagia sofia. There are many restaurants with delicious food are arround the hotel. The room given to us was doulble room with good size. Bathroom was not very big but suitable for 2 people. House keeping was good. They clean your room change bed sheets etc daily. We didnt try the terrace restaurant of the hotel but view of blue mosque from terrace was fantastic. The staff of the hotel were very cooperative and can speak very good English. The breakfast was ok. The sultanahmet tram station is about 10 minutes walk to the hotel. If you want taxi the taxi stand is about 3 minutes walk. The beach is about 15 minutes walk from hotel. The area arround hotel is very beauriful for phtography. The room was sound proof so you can sleep very well. I will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again on my next trip.

When we arrived at the hotel we enjoyed a really warm welcome! Actually, all the staff members were extremely kind and helpful. Our (standard) room was really looking as beautiful as on the pictures! It was sooo cosy and even though it was cold outside, we never had to turn on the AC to heat the room up! There are lots of (too expensive) restaurants in the neighbourhood, as well as little shops and also a "bazaar". The hotel itself has a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the view of the Blue Mosque (which id about 3 minutes on foot) and the Bosphorus.

It might be a bit tricky to find the hotel, not only because of the one way streets but also in Google Maps when typing the hotel name there can be different results. WiFi was just useless, go to get some SIM card (not a cheap thing in Istanbul but it works at least). Waiting for hot water in the showe could be a little shorter. No juice for breakfast, just water, tea and coffee.

If you are interested in visiting the Sultanahmet area, this location cannot be beat. It is a five minute walk to the Palace and to Hagia Sophia. The rooms are basic, but very clean and serviceable. The staff are thoughtful and kind. As a bonus, we had an amazing view of the Blue Mosque. The breakfast was good. If you are a strong black tea lover, try their tea at breakfast. It was great. The restaurant was excellent. We planned to eat elsewhere in the area, but we found the restaurants pushy and expensive, so we ate at Blue House every night and we were not disappointed. We loved everything we ordered and it was reasonably priced for the area. The staff were attentive and kind as well. We had a great experience at Blue House and would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is in a very central location, 2 or 3 mins walk from The Blue Mosque, and also a few mins walk from the old town with its associated bars and restaurants. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful and the hotel was clean throughout. The room was again clean, the bed was comfy and plenty of hot water, a decent sized wardrobe and storage. There was a fridge (that we found a bit noisy) and air con (which we didnt really use) You got 2 complementary bottles of water left in your room every day. This is not something I am in any way complaining about as I expected it but want to say so you are aware of it. Given how close you are to the Blue Mosque (and other mosques) you will hear the call to prayer, when we stayed this was about 6.30am and I think lasted for about 10 mins.

There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, however there was a coffee machine in reception that you can use 24/7 and take to your room. Breakfast was a bit hit or miss - it ran from 8am (or perhaps earlier) till 11am, we tended to go down 9 onwards and it seemed to be when something ran out (food or crockery) it wasnt replaced. So sometimes there was no bowls for cereal, no cups for coffee or some food was finished. I asked for cups one morning and I was told that they needed to get ones when people were finished with them and then they would be washed and put out.

The hotel is a beautiful boutique style hotel with alot of character and charm. The distance is literally few minutes away from both the mosques and musuem Loads of eating places and tram line not far from hotel. The staff were amazing and always helped when we asked for it.

The breakfast was very limited. Would have liked fresh orange juice rather than diluated water and maybe some tea for us English drinkers. The breakfast was more traditional Turkish and we struggled with eating.

The food here was average but came in handy on the day we checked in and the night before we checked out. Having breakfast included with the stay was also good. I would go to the rooftop here just for the view, it is the best of all the places with we went to eat. The staff was incredible really liked the service.

Not having an ironing board or an iron, not sure if it is a European thing but in North America, we get that, so it was odd. Also, the laundry prices were way too much, it was cheaper to buy clothes than have them washed here. A self serve laundry would be a great addition.

The staff are fantastic! They are all so accommodating and pleasant to talk to. The location is perfect in the middle of Old Town. The view from the terrace/restaurant of the Blue and Sofia mosques and the sea are gorgeous. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the needed items: hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/dental kit, slippers, a locked safe, etc. There's also included breakfast every morning, which is nice. I'd absolutely stay here again!

The only thing that wasn't great was the wifi. It worked sometimes and other times wouldn't work at all. But other than that, everything was great!!!

Exceptional location (in front of the Blue Mosque) and staff, they were really helpful with everything and treated guests really well, specially the guys working in reception. The AC system worked really well.

The basic rooms are not so big, and have a small toilet, but then again - they’re the basic rooms. I recommend that if you book the basic room, you book the one with views. The price per night was high in high season - just like all the hotels in the center of Istanbul. The breakfast can be improved.

We stayed here for 8 nights and had amazing time. location is perfect literally near all the historical sites. Loads of restaurants near by which is ideal. The views from the rooftop terrace are fantastic. All the staff members were so pleasant and accommodating, it’s really refreshing to see how friendly the team is not just to guest but also among themselves, they all seem to really enjoy working there. Had some really good chats. Already miss my time here will be back soon.

blue house hotel is a small family hotel in the middle of sultanahmet , this hotel has an amazing location near the blue mosque and aya sophia and it’s 2or3 min walk to the train station which you can reach most of the places in Istanbul. I also loved every stuff in this hotel, you will feel like you are in your home with their wonderful service and smile on their face. the room was clean and comfortable to stay me and my mom we really loved this hotel . PS. the food is amazing including the breakfast in the morning and plz find the time to try dinner on the terrace restaurant you will love the food and view 😍😍
