The hotel situated like 2 minutes away from the ferry boat station, so all we needed to take pleasant trip to historical part of Istanbul. The Kadiköy place 5 min away. On the same street with hotel were couple of fast food places and baklava shop. And yet it was very quiet in the night. About 100 m away there is hammam, which was very authentic. The young men on reception were extreamly nice, correct and polite. The room cleaning and towel change was every day, thow we tried not to throw towels down, but there no place to dry them, so it might be a good thing. Shampoo and toothbrush + paste were in shower room. Tea was available all day round in hotel hall. Breakfast was nice, bread, tea/coffee, local cheese, juices, vegetables, cookies. Different from usual european's, but I was nicely suprised to have lentile soup on breakfast. 2 big metro/bus stations are in 20 min walk away.

Istanbul Life hotel has been a great choice for us. The location is extremely convenient:just 3 minutes away from the pier and from the central bus station. All kinds of shops and restaurants are in a walking distance. As for the breakfast, it offered a variety of options and we didn't feel a rush, even a bit after the serving hours. Nothing special, but good enough and freshly cooked. The lady serving us was absolutely kind and helpful! Our *final* room was beautiful, very spacious and nicely decorated. However, at first we were assigned to another room which did not meet our expectations nor the website photos ( read more below ). After communicating our needs to the receptionist, they tried their best and offered us a much better room the next day. That room was delightful.

The standard room we had originally booked was not spacious as captured in the photos. It was actually extremely small, with not enough space for luggage, very few hangers and absolutely nowhere to place anything in the bathroom. If we had stayed there the experience would not have been the same.

1) Breakfast was good to start the day, sufficient. 2) Free hot Cay in the lobby all throughout the day, handy for those winter days 2) Housekeeping was really good. Kept things clean 3) Location-short 5mins walk from a) the bus station (you can take a direct bus from Istanbul Airport (platform 14) to Kadikoy and b) ferry pier (you can take the ferry to Eminonu on the European side). It is also a short walk from the famous Kadikoy alleys of restaurants/pubs which locals frequent (bustling nightlife) and around 10-15 mins walk to the vibrant hip Moda neighbourhood

It was my second time staying at the Istanbul Life Hotel (and fifth time in the city), and I think it's a great place to stay if you've been to Istanbul before and want to stay in a less touristy area. The main attractions are still just a ferry ride away, you can explore many other places, for example the Prince Island are easier to reach, and the hotel itself is surrounded by a lively neighbourhood with some of the city's best restaurants and a nice seaside promenade. Sabiha Gökçen airport can be accessed by metro without change of line. Also, we liked the breakfast!

The only thing is, if you love spacious hotel rooms, this hotel may not be for you. It was fine for us though.

It was my first time to use the Hotel and it won't be the last one. The Hotel is super nice, clean and well located. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is quite good and well presented. It is located at the best area of Kadekoy few meters from the bus stop, metro and port for boats. Great experience.

Everything was good. The only thing that pillows need to be changed.

The hotel is really beautiful, I love all of the art in the foyer and hallways. The room is tastefully decorated and was comfortable and quiet. Funny detail, but I loved the wooden ceiling. And endless cups of black tea in the lobby. =) Breakfast is fresh and tasty. As to the location, I really enjoyed seeing the Asian side of Istanbul and enjoyed the restaurants that are a 5-10 minute walk south of the hotel. Lovely fresh fish, Turkish coffee or Efes beer, lots of people walking. And I highly recommend buying your spices from this area, they are at normal prices!

Heads up with the location - there are "night clubs" on this street, one side of the street has tourist hotels and the other is dodgy. My taxi driver from the airport warned me not to talk to men or women on the street. :-/ It's a good thing to know, especially as a woman traveling solo. However! A three minute walk takes you to a regular shopping and restaurant district, and it's super easy to get to the ferry and metro, so it's still doable. The shower wasn't warm, I tried at different times of day, and ended up taking a cool shower. I didn't ask the front desk though so maybe it's an easy fix?

Excellent location (steps away from the ferry, very close to Moda district with cool cafes, 5 min. away from the shuttle). Very friendly stuff, especially the breakfast lady who always made sure that we enjoy the breakfast and find everything that we need. The breakfast was good to! I would stay at this hotel again if I come back to Istanbul, excellent value for money.

Nothing really - I got what I paid for, the only thing that was not perfect was the internet connection. But I didn't want to stream movies or have video calls, so it wasn't a problem for me!

Good location in Kadikoy Close to metro and ferries and center of town. The room was nice and spacious and clean.

Some noise from the street. Ended up having the ground floor room as the first floor one was not cleaned by 14.30 that I arrived. The only downside was I guess the noise, perhaps on the1st floor would have been less noisy. For the price I was expecting a little more. The staff was not fully up to date with some touristic queries.

Charming Little Brand new hotel. Great Location, close to main shopping and restaurant area, also few steps from main transport lines. Close to seaside, lots of things to do nearby, also few minutes from the center if Istanbul via ferry or metro.

Smaller than expected rooms, but they are comfy and extremely clean, they have everything you need.

Friendly staff that helped us out with everything we needed and asked. It's a great location, close to Kadiköy best places to eat and visit. The cleaning staff was very good, leaving our room spotless clean every day. The breakfast is decent, you hust have to be used to the Turkish way to have it. It's very close to Kadiköy ferry station; from there you can visit any of the gorgeous islands close to the city.

Shower very narrow, hard for large persons to use it. Bed could be more comfortable, but it's not a deal breaker. For a person that loves his coffee, I had a huge problem during breakfast cause the coffee was not good, barely drinkable. The drink options could improve as well, since only peach nad cherry juice are too sweet for someone like me.
