Marmara Place Old City Hotel

I arrive very late at the hotel as my flight from London arrive at 10.30pm. Within 3 minutes, check in was done and I had the key for my room. Next day I met Mr Mehmet the manager. I asked for late checkout. He authorised without any complications to stay 1 hour longer. Very good guy. The cherry on the cake is the breakfast on the 7th floor. Amazing view of Istanbul from the open sky veranda. Don’t miss this view. I’ll surely go back.

The location was excellent, very close to metro and tram. Friendly staff.

The on-site restaurant offered a delightful culinary journey. The eating on the terrace, from where you can see all around the city, was amazing. The menu was diverse, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The chef's attention to presentation and flavor showcased a commitment to culinary excellence.

The elevator is too small for 3 persons.

We traveled in a large family group: 14 people across three generations. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after. There are ten or so steps at the entrance to the lobby. An elevator covers from the lobby to the 7th top floor. The location was perfect, not far at all from shops, restaurants, money changers, or cafes. The tram station and the metro station were 5 minutes' walk. The Grand Bazaar was 15 minutes away walking and Sultanahmet and the mosques were 30 minutes walking, but 10 minutes by tram. Good buffet breakfast spread. Good duration too (7-10 am). Wonderful 7th-floor restaurant with a balcony and amazing views. Very friendly and helpful reception, room service, and restaurant staff. Always happy to help with a smile. The reception helped arrange our day tours at good rates. We were allowed early check-in. The rooms were ample space with large and clean bathrooms with hot and cold water. The toilet bowls had good bidets. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned every day. Our stuff in the room stayed safe and secure. The beds and pillows were clean and very comfortable. We requested an iron which was provided. There were TV screens in all rooms.

One of the triple rooms had heating issues (worked on some days and not others.)

The staff was very friendly and helpful making my stay so comfortable, thanks a lot to Mr. Mhammat (manager), Mr. Mhammat (reception), and Mr. Dagistan (reception). Great breakfast. The location is just steps from Yenikapi metro station which can connect you to every part of the city, literally!

The location is key here, 3 min from the metro (Yenikapi station) which connects multiple lines that go across the city and a bus stop just across the street, and around 6 min to reach the tram that goes to the main historical sites, I like this location because it allows you to be connected to almost all of Istanbul by public transportation, The staff were friendly specialy ahemt do helpful and the restaurant had good view of the sea.

Good location if you need to be in Aksaray/Laleli, close to metro station and the tram stop. The room was big and clean. Staff are good.

The rooms have only one key, and if you are more than one person and what to do separate things, you need to bother one another (arrived at 2am and had to wake up others to open the door).

My second time staying here , the hotel was very nice , and in a very strategic area near metro, tram and marmary .. the staff was friendly and very helpful, easy check-in and check out , the room was nice the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good and the restaurant had a fantastic view .

Location close to the metro line with connection to IST airport as well as another parts of city. A few minutes walk to the tram station from where you can easily go to the main points. Very hospitable staff, room cleaning every day, very good breakfast.
