You can feel like somebody cares of you when you stay there. The small things like body lotion in bathroom, a nice coffee machine or bathrobe really makes the difference. On top of that, the owner is very easygoing and helpful person :) Would definitely come back there one day.

Midges repellent is a must (or they just love us). That would be great to have a net in the window. The location is somehow "Aberfeldy"... With a car that is not a big deal (few minutes to the town) or you can take a walk by the river, so that can be an advantage or a small disadvantage depending on the point of view :)

Me and my brother traveled to Scotland on a motorbike road trip and we got lucky enough to book for 2 night in the steading 2, on arrival it was one of the most beautifull locations I have ever been to, the deer with antlers on the field to the left on arrival and also a few fawn to so keep your eyes peeled, the whole grounds are absolutely phenomenal from cottages with thatched roofs to old tin roof barns,we both stayed up into dark having a few drinks and later on into the night we were met by 4 full sized white barn owls swooping around the grounds and we also saw rabbit rams and all kinds of birds whilst we stayed here so plenty to see. Getting to sleep was a dream as the beds are very comfortable and plenty if pillows too and also very warm so absolutely no issue, lovely assortment of coffee and tea, multiple cereals and milk in fridge, plenty of cutlery , I was very impressed by the set out of the place as it had everything we needed for a good start to the day and a very well rested night.what you pay for and get in return is more than just a place to stay, it really made our trip something to remember and we will never forget the amazing time we had over just 2 night too!, we will be booking the steading everytime we travel up north without a shadow of a doubt,we can't thank the owners Sarah jane and Will enough it really made our trip something to stay with us forever.

I loved the setting. Very tranquil. The room was beautifully furnished with high end soft furnishings. It had a modern shower room and kitchen area with sink, fridge and microwave. Breakfast was provided in the fridge. Excellent selection including fresh fruit, smoked salmon and pastries. Communication with the hosts was easy with quick responses. Lots of excellent walks in the area. Highlights of my visit were a visit to the Crannog centre in Kenmore and seeing red squirrels at Cluny gardens.

I stayed in an upstairs room with velux windows so views were a bit limited. In the description it mentioned a patio area. Not sure where this was but it was not next to the room which would have been disappointing had the weather been good.

Our stay at The Steading was absolutely superb. The pictures online really don't do this place justice. We had an upstairs room which had fantastic views over the whole property and surrounding countryside and excellent fresh air and ventilation. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette was basic, but sufficient for a couple of nights, with a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave provided. The bathroom was large and the shower was plenty high enough for me to stand under (I'm 6'6" tall and didn't need to bend down to fit under the shower-a big plus for me!) Also waiting for us in our room was a nice taster of the "Aberfeldy" whiskey which went down a treat on our first night! The property was located a few miles outside of Aberfeldy itself, closer to the village of Weem, but was a short drive in to Aberfeldy, where we had other activities booked during the day. The property is located a short drive off the main road, which provides a very peaceful and quiet setting to get a good nights rest. Breakfast is provided in your room upon your arrival, with a two day supply there already. We thought this was a great idea as it allowed us to get up at our leisure and enjoy breakfast when we wanted it. There were also a few homemade treats in the fridge, the jam particularly, went down well! The rest of the food and drinks provided were all of excellent quality, being from either well known brands, some local producers and The Co-op.

We found the signage to the particular steadings to be very poor, it took us a little while upon arrival to locate our steading and other people arriving after us, also seemed to have difficulty find the steading they had been allocated. Being 6'6" tall, the downside to our particular room was the sloping ceiling, which wasn't an issue until trying to make use of the microwave, I banged my head once or twice! That's only a minor issue though and the rest of the room more than made up for it!

we stayed in THE LOFT the location was incredible, beautiful scenery and wildlife outside your door (Deer roaring at night was very special) property looked beautiful and modern and the owners have done such a good job with the space. kitchenette and fridge was well stocked with breakfast items, loved the melon and yoghurts and local bread. dram of whisky in room is a lovely touch too. The room was warm, clean and welcoming.

THE LOFT’S sloping roofs made it difficult to do things. Hand held shower and sloping roof in bathroom and tiny sink made bathing and washing really difficult. kitchenette area was so cramped, microwave near floor made it difficult to use. People over 5ft 8 would struggle here.

I had to book this quite last minute as a place to stay whilst I was at my friends wedding as the hotel I booked was sold and the new owners closed and cancelled all bookings. Turns out it was the best thing that could have happened as I wouldn’t have found this gem! I stayed in the store and it was such a lovely room, amazing views and nice owners. The breakfast items left where perfect.

I loved everything about the property….the only thing that I would have changed would be a space to put my suit case and bags out of sight but that’s just me being picky as I’m a neat freak.

Room and location were beautiful - looking out to the hills with a lovely thatched house in view too. Breakfast food provided in the room was amazing - fresh fruit, eggs, bread, smoked salmon, yoghurt and more.

The double bed was actually two singles joined together which is always a little less comfortable as you run the risk of falling into the gap!

The location is excellent with views across the valley to the hills. The continental breakfast was very good. We had scrambled eggs topped with smoked salmon following cereal with fresh fruit. The coffee machine was easy to use but we resorted to the microwave handbook to get it going. Really pleasant break. We should have stayed longer.

We had a little difficulty working out which was our chalet but a phone call sorted it out quickly.

Beautifully self contained accommodation - spacious and well defined areas within the studio. Fantastically stocked kitchen - plenty food provided for breakfast over numerous days. The local whisky was a lovely touch! Parking immediately beside the accommodation and a short bike ride or drive into Kenmore which has an abundance of local walks/watersports etc. The flexibility of being able to prepare food and drinks comfortably in the accommodation without having to bring your own glasses etc was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Would be great to have had a small hob in the property.
