Scotland's Spa Hotel

The room was always at a nice temperature all the staff were polite and attentive and eager to help the breakfast was always cooked to perfection the treatment we received when visiting the spa was the highlight of our break away from home

The shower in the room were low pressure mixers that’s all

The hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to the town centre and there is ample parking at the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and the staff were very helpful. On arrival, we were able to check in right away, an hour and a half early which was much appreciated. The room was basic but very clean with TV, coffee machine and kettle, tea and coffee. As we only needed it to sleep in, the room was more than adequate. The Spa facilities were excellent: nice pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Other reviews found fault with these facilities but we found them to be excellent. The breakfast menu was expansive and the food great. Would definitely stay here again.

Only issue, as others have mentioned, was that the room was pretty warm but we just opened a window.

Breakfast was awesome. Staff were friendly and always helpful. The restaurant food in the evening was absolutely perfection. Well presented and the Manageress Anne, who we must mention is a little diamond at this Hotel. Gives a lovely warm welcome with a beautiful smile and makes you feel so comfortable whil edining. Always on the go, but firstly attending to the customers requests. No need to look elsewhere for an evening meal as this is the place to be.

More staff to cover and help other members. Very noticeable but they make sure you have your needs. A huge thank you to all staff.

Very friendly staff, and a lovely warm welcome. A good location too. Clean comfortable beds and linen and towel. A good breakfast menu and modern facilities. The spa treatment was wonderful. Would highly recommend.

The room we had was a bit dated , bathroom was modern and fresh. Windows were single pane and gappy in corners allowing daylight and cold air in. However the bedding we had kept us cozy. The window itself would not be suitable for a young person to view from as they could fall. No safety feature. This being said that was our room, I have no idea if any of the other rooms were the same.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing. The room was nice and comfortable. There is a car park which is ideal so no need to worry about parking. I forgot there was a pool but will remember for next time when we come back. There is also a spa which I never used this time but will certainly book next time. The hotel is in an ideal location as it's literally just off the main street so very close to all shops. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Hotel was in great location, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and Spa were good

My only gripe was in the bedroom. Our room 240 had two windows, which was great. The dressing table and mirror were situated at the smaller window in the corner. There was also a wardrobe there blocking out the natural light, and there was no light above mirror, making it impossible for a lady to do her make-up and hair. There was no window in the bathroom, so unable to do hair, etc, in there after a shower as mirrors all steamed up. Apart from that, breakfast wasn't so good, continental choices were poor, and sausages and scrambled eggs were tasteless. Didn't eat in restaurant in the evening so cannot comment on that All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will consider returning in the future

The room was immaculate with a very comfy bed, we had an excellent sleep. The spa facilities were great also as we had a massage and facial, Caitlin and Rhianna were amazing and we left feeling so pampered and relaxed. We also had breakfast included with our stay, we both opted for the full veggie breakfast and it was so tasty with excellent continental choices also!

We had booked a table for dinner when checking in but once we reviewed the menu we felt it was a bit overpriced for the selection available so we ended up walking the 5 minutes to the Main Street and there were plenty of options more reasonably priced with a better selection and had a lovely meal.

Everything about it. I was reluctant after reading reviews, but I had already booked, so I went ahead with it. How wrong was I to be sceptical. From the moment I arrived u till I left 3 days later, I could not fault a single thing. From reception staff, Adele and Jill, who advised on everything , were very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to places to visit. And also to the waiting staff and everyone else associated with the hotel, nothing was too much for them. My room was of a high standard. I especially enjoyed the spa area, very relaxing and of high hygiene standards. I am already looking forward to returning.

The staff make this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Hector and Lisa at the reception gave us such a great welcome. Explained all about the hotel and how to get to our room. Having left our bags in the room to go exploring, we started off with a drink at the reception. The reception area is very comfortable and comfy. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and had a lovely time with Hector and Lisa. When we came back to the hotel in the evening we met another lovely member of staff (sorry can't remember her name). She asked what song we danced to at our wedding and played it for us. This was so special. Our room was lovely and very clean. Loved the coffee machine. Great choice of breakfast and lots of choice for gluten free. Husband had full Scottish breakfast, outstanding. Lots of fresh fruit to choose from. Staff were brilliant. Couldn't be more helpful. Thank you to all staff xx

Our room as I say was lovely, I didn't feel it was worth the money we paid. Quite small and only a Velux type window. Our bed was very hard but we are used to a soft mattress. (can't please everyone). :-)

I liked the car park outside as it was practical for me. I liked the location very central and easy to find. The staff were very professional and organised,,good at giving information about breakfast and dinner.and parking. I liked the other guests whether it was just to say "Good morning" or to chatt a little. The room was very comfortable with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The lounge area was also comfortable. I enjoyed the swimming pool and steam room.

It was a pity that the jacuzzi wasn't working but I understand that renovations will happen soon.The swimming pool was nice but the surrounding area does need some sprucing up, designed in a prettier way.
