Beautifully presented old home in a convenient location with parking. Well maintained, freshly painted etc. Breakfast was generous and very well cooked and presented. Our room was tiny as you can expect in old buildings so the bed was a small double. It had noisy springs that made it hard to move without disturbing your partner. The towels were soft and nice and we appreciated the tea making facilities. We had a small window and the room had adequate ventilation. Given the size of the room it was okay for one night but not longer.

Our room at the back of the house was “too small to swing a cat”. I guess if you don’t have a cat you won’t mind. The bathroom has been renovated and looks nice however of necessity the shower is very, very small. I presume the front rooms are better and would request one of these.

Lots of space for a family with up to 3 kids. Also had a kitchenette which we would have used had we stayed longer. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent ! We arrived later than planned but there was a system for key collection and Christian sent very clear instructions which meant we could self check in. Heathergems across the road is a really interesting visit and shop to spend a good hour at.

Parking is a bit tight, particularly if you are the last to arrive 😁. Some might mind that the train line runs right behind the property but we thought it was exciting.

Adorable place with a very warm and accommodating team. The location is excellent as well, right at the start of town but in a quieter stretch of the road. Walking distance to absolutely everything.

Location is fantastic start of main street across the road from tourist information the appartment was very nice plenty of room for ma two kids. Cristian and Barbara were fantastic host always friendly, smiling and happy to help. The full Scottish breakfast was great but i would recommend the scrambled eggs Mmmm.

I have no complaints i,ve stayed in more than 20 different B&B's & hotels in Pitlochry and the ButtonBoss is up there even better than some 3star hotels in the area very comfortable very nice will definitely be back.

The owners of the house were wonderful and kind and did everything to give us the feeling of welcome guests. The house was clean, tidy and pleasant to stay in. The garden is wonderful and well-kept. The owner of the house guided us where to walk in the area and in general the whole village is beautifully welcoming and an amazing place to stay and walk. The breakfast was excellent. I recommend the delicious Scottish meal that was kindly served in a pleasant room by a wonderful hostess. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We like it all .

The fact that you could choose from the menu what you would like and therefore made to order the breakfast was fresh, hot and superb. Very much appreciated Cristian emailing me to night before to ask what time we would be arriving as we were then able to drop off our rucksack as we were heading straight to the afternoon show at the theatre and did not want to have to take them with us. ( possibly could have let me know if he had received my reply as we were unsure and tight for time)

The sliding door was noisy in the room.

We enjoyed our stay here and everything was as advertised. It was great to be within walking distance from everything in Pitlochry. Breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful when you needed them.

The window was opened with a block of wood which we did not want to remove. As the window was on the very busy main road it meant that we had very noisy nights, unfortunately. The streetlights also made the room very bright.

I was pleased with the room allocated on the first floor overlooking the road. Quiet at night. A twin room so plenty of space. Bathroom excellent. Was able to keep the room how ever warm necessary. Bed comfortable, duvet a little too heavy for my taste. The breakfast was nicely cooked and varied, breakfast room pleasant, staff very nice. Parking provided lots of space and convenient back door to take your luggage through. A short walk to all the town's facilities, plenty of food outlets for all budgets. Could walk to the river and over a bridge and up to the Dam Visitor Centre and Fish Ladder. A car is useful to get around but looked to be well catered for by train and bus services. I enjoyed Blair Castle and also a train trip to Inverness.

At breakfast would have appreciated a greater choice of cereal, grapefruit and prunes provided neither of which appeal to me. Perhaps some fruit, raspberries, blueberries, tinned peaches would have been nice. Times have been tough but the place is starting to look rather tired and dated. The stair carpet is showing signs of wear, the toilet quite difficult to flush, the front door handle needs replacing. Each morning I awoke to a strong smell of breakfast. A more efficient means of ridding this from the upstairs would be nice.

EVERYTHING! Christian and his team were GREAT! We even enjoyed his Wife's coffee shop in Perth! Breakfast was so so good and very bountiful, so many options! And our server was very thorough and pleasant, especially first thing in the morning! The house is very nicely appointed and comfortable, incredibly clean, beds were so comfy and the linens were pristine as you you expect. The location was just perfect! We stayed 2 nights and walked over 15 miles around town, and the attractions we visited. So close to The Hermitage Falls and the Beatrix Potter Memorial Garden and Coffee shop and Exhibit, Grand Oaks Trail in Birnam, Dunkeld Abby and shops, Blair Castle and Perth, Even Stirling was not too far off. Plenty of restaurants within a block or so and great shops. Such a quaint village! And Visit Scotland office and shop just across the street. Off street parking was a plus! Have recommended to friends!

Sadly we were there prior to prime tourist season though the town was buzzing, many shops closed at 5pm - but that probably saved us money! And of course no fault of the Buttonboss Lodge B&B! No complaints there at all!
