Excellent value for money. We both needed a little escape for a couple of days from our busy life, more for out mental health. The setting is stunning, the people are friendly. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, chatty, and creates a lovely stay. Delicious beer and cocktails, food was lovely. I haven't one bad thing to say about the place. We will definitely be back.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully next time!!!

The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the walk-in shower, we thought the layout was really cool. The scenery was everything! Waking up to nature, made us feel comfortable and relaxed. If you are looking for a place away from the city, away from the noise of a busy life, come to this location and free yourself from those burdens. Wainwrights' Inn best - best place for food and drinks 100% quality food 100% great music selection 100% great service I would really recommend going to this location which is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel

The restaurant within the hotel- The food was slightly overpriced with the portions that was given and the menu didn’t have a lot of variety.

rooms were stunning the location was beautiful and very restful. we loved this hotel and would return at the drop of a hat. Breakfast was amazing too 👏👍

went to stoves for an afternoon snack told there was no food available - just crisps. then the evening restaurant menu had limited choice - then we were told beef wasn’t available which we both wanted. we were then informed that pizzas weren’t available. I never have chicken but this was the ONLY choice left so we felt forced into this option. we aren’t fussy but Stoves wasn’t really even up to a moderate standard at best. disappointed as my bill exceeded £100

Food quality at breakfast was noticeable. Please continue to do this as even a good quality orange juice is appreciated and sets a hotel above others. Room was spacious and cleaned beautifully.

Bathroom basin was impeded by the glass shelf above it, couldnt easily rinse ones face as my head hit the shelf. Either the basin needed to be wider or the shelf removing and 2 half shelves used either side of the mirror (like a his and hers shelf almost which would look even better and solve the problem at the same time).

Me and my wife stayed in Lakeside Signature Room 127 and found the room to be simple yet stylishly designed and comfortable, with a nice spacious bathroom, complementary premium toiletries made by a local company (which smelled incredible), and complementary tea and coffee. The hotel spans across an estate in which all of the main locations are easily accessible and no more than a 10 min very leisurely walk from any one place (additionally you can drive around much of the estate with parking outside of the main spa and Stove restaurant which are situated right next to each other). The estates closest town is Elterwater and after exploring Elterwater on our first day we returned to use the spa facilities which are basic but very nice, including a gym (which is sufficient for a light workout with dumbbells up to 25kg, so not suitable for heavy lifters), a pool, steam room, a very spacious sauna (which in my opinion is the highlight of the spa facilities) and a spacious jacuzzi. The spa was a perfect way to cap off walks around the area, especially on the second day when we tackled the BRUTALLY TOUGH Old Man of Coniston hike in whipping winds and sideways rain ! After our first days hike and spa session, we opted to eat in the Stove Restaurant (Langdale estates on-site) and it was superb. Ambient and chic. I have back issues, and our waitress Paige, and the hostess, were very helpful in ensuring I was seated comfortably and settled us in with a couple of pints of draught Wainwrights amber ale which went down a treat, before a fantastic meal of Stuffed Seafood Ravioli in a lobster bisque for my wife (the winner of the day and probably the best pasta dish I’ve ever tried in the country!), and pan fried chicken with fondant potato, creamed leaked and red wine jous, which was also delightful ! Followed by the best Bread and Butter Pudding anywhere. The breakfast, I am convinced it is the best in the UK spa scene, the sausages are to die for, and espresso !

Breakfast was just ok . Room was nice but I found the pillows were not too comfortable. Jacuzzi water was too hot which we were looking forward to but couldn’t enjoy at all. The restaurant menu was very limited which was disappointing as we didn’t want to go out for dinner considering the narrow and dark winding roads to Ambleside. If anyone is planning to have dinner you need to book and better to have an earlier slot as we planned to order to the room and the timings said till 9:30and they told us at 9 that the kitchen was closed . We already had a few drinks in the room and couldn’t even drive.

Restaurant service timings and menu. Jacuzzi water temperature Better pillows

Beautiful location In the countryside - lovely views and surrounding areas - remote. The on site restaurant and bar is really nice - great breakfast too, staff were super friendly. I had the most amazing massage treatment on site at the brimstone which was great.

In our room there were cobwebs in each of the corners of the room, however the room was clean- just that extra bit of attention to the detail. The ‘free’ leisure facilities were so crowded and we had to wait to go in, there was a queue of people waiting to enter the changing rooms/ pool with no idea on how long we would need to wait so we decided to use the other facilities on site… it cost us £85 each, but the experience was very nice. Please keep in mind it was August school holidays, so it may be different out of season.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The room was spacious and comfortable with really lovely smellies and other nice touches such as bluetooth speaker. We were staying for a wedding. The food and drink were extremely good. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and helped to make it a really special occasion. The estate is beautiful and would have made for some lovely photographs if it hadn't tipped it down all day! No matter, as there also lovely interiors which made for attractive back drops. We used the leisure facilities in our down time - the pool was lovely and the staff there were also really friendly and helpful.

It was a lovely stay here in the langdale, beautiful and relaxing setting. Room was modern, comfortable and clean. Staff where very friendly. Great location for good walks. Breakfast was excellent, good choice. Went for meal at wainwright inn, lovely meal and staff very friendly.

We went for evening meal at the wainwright inn,it is just a short walk from hotel, however there is a part where you have to walk on road. This was extremely dangerous as it was pitch black no lights and no pavement. It was quite scary as oncoming traffic was passing extremely close and I do think this needs addressing.
