Fir Trees Hotel

location very good, fine, breakfasts and evening meals were very good and good choices of menu. friendly and cosy and we enjoyed the music and atmostphere.

it was difficult to find the hotel as signage was nowhere to be seen. only for enquiry from local shops and filling station, we not have arrived. the lighting in the room was very dull and we found it hard to read, otherwise the large bed was comfortable, plenty of shelves for clothes, but a lack of wardroom space/and hangers to hang up clothes. this seems to be a standard problem in most hotels.

Amazing stay at Fir Trees. Would definitely stay here again. staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was faultless. Gina serving breakfast each morning was amazing. Remembered us from previous stay. She was extremely welcoming and friendly and very accommodating during breakfast. Food in the bar was amazing and reasonably priced. Thank you

Nothing with the Hotel, our stay was faultless. Only issue with the Hotel was the location, not much to do with children near by.

The bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in, and the shower was something else :-) the staff both on reception and the bar were lovely and friendly, and the outdoor seating area was very well maintained. When i woke up there was already a chap out sweeping the car park which was lovely that a family run establishment is so well cared for. Breakfast wasn't like the usual, stuffed under a heater for hours, it was made to order just how I liked it, it was piping hot, and the lady who served us was very attentive.

There was nothing I did not like about this place.

Rooms were nice and cosy.

Went for breakfast on Friday morning, and there was one girl working. Serving food and trying to clean up. While we had 2 foreign fellas on facetime to whomever. Was talking loud, but I asked the girl to ask him to quitten down. She went to reception, so I mentioned at reception on check out. Awww, he's been working here and staying with us. Where is customer safiticion there????

The room was a pleasant surprise given the price of room. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable bed and very clean. Liked the welcome by receptionist and also our dinner was very tasty and reasonably priced. The servers and bar staff were plentiful and fairly attentive. We received prompt and friendly customer service when getting our dinner.

There wasn't much to not like. The room was clean. A nice welcome. Reassuring to see that staff were checking bookings for restaurant ( covid regulations). Plenty of detail given at reception on stay but lacked information about what is going on or what could be visited or recommended as tourism or cultural attractions in Strabane and surrounding areas....would have been an excellent add on to the customer service. I couldn't name staff who excelled as I couldn't see name badges.

On arrival we had a very friendly welcome from the receptionist. However we enjoyed a welcome coffee in the lobby which had a lovely fire lighting. Had lovely light lunch in the bar.Beautiful salad bar and selection of gorgeous desserts Returned later for evening food.Nice breakfast. Through out all the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

The bedroom was slightly cool.One negative was that although clean the sink and the bath in the ensuite both had cracks in them.

The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help, the food in the restaurant was great and the room itself was lovely. The WiFi was great. There were no family rooms available so the staff had put an additional camper bed out for us. The space was very comfortable indeed and although the restaurant and bar were fairly busy we weren't disturbed at all. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty. The hotel and staff were adhering to covid protocols and we felt safe at all times. Should we be in the area again we wouldn't hesitate in visiting.

There were maintenance issues in our bathroom- the sealant was badly discoloured and the bath panel was broken with large gaps and old duct tape on it. I couldnt let my youngest daughter use this area on her own as it was hazardous.

Cleanliness, the staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb,and the staff willing to add or take off items,( Speciall shout out to Melissa ). Price of the food and drinks in the bar were very good, in fact bar drink prices amongst cheapest in the area. Again the staff were very friendly and willing to chat, never seemed rushed but went about their work with a smile .

No bedside table, very tight gap one side of bed. Not a bright enough light for applying make up.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and a decent size with everything we needed. The food was lovely - we had breakfast both days and also a dinner in the restaurant. Really handy location for the wedding we were attending!

Our room felt damp - there was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and the bedsheets had a damp feel to them.

This is an absolute gem. Small run clean rooms with a pub downstairs. No loud music just a place to have drinks. The owner and bartender were so friendly and accommodating. Not overpriced. Just a fun place to crash. Loved it!!!

Nothing. Would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.
