Waterfoot Hotel

Receptionist had a very welcoming and friendly manner, the room was clean and comfortable. The bar master was a true Gentleman, made time for a nice chat whilst still giving prompt service to a lot of customers. All in all a pleasant stay.

The hotel met my expectations, so it is difficult to pick faults. A fresh bottle of water in the room would be nice although tea. coffe and biscuits are each room. Super busy hard working staff, but maybe a little short staffed.

Stephanie our receptionist on arrival was brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful. The snug bar had a brilliant atmosphere and the staff,Martin and Paddy were very pleasant and chatty. The bar food and breakfast was very tasty.

The heating system was complicated and operated from reception of which we had no heat in the 1st room and moved to another with yet again no heat even though we contacted reception and the night porter. Told receptionist next morning who said they would pass on to management. No word from them.

I liked the staff, especially the young man who welcomed me late after and in a rush due to the fact that I had to leave my previous accommodation because it was infested with Bed bugs! And the young lady at reception who helped me and was very kind and attentive. Overall, the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable, although a little meager for a 4-star hotel.

I didn't like the value for money. Too much for the overall quality of the hotel. I didn't like the lighting system in the room: not enough light and very poorly distributed. Very few sockets available. The lack of a toilet brush! Never in my life have I stayed in an accommodation without a toilet brush! C'mon, even the dirtiest bus station toilet has one!

The staff are wonderfully helpful. Contacted prior to check in to see if we could use the carpark prior to check-in. Was told to nip in and have a chat. I was given a map, advised on the best place to park. How to get into Derry from there. This was before we even checked in! The room was spacious, the bathroom was bigger than average. The breakfast was amazing.

The TV wasn't working properly. But we were only there one night and after seeing all the sights of Derry. We were too tired to care.

The room was comfortable.

For a supposedly 4* hotel, there were no gym facilities and the hallways smelt damp. breakfast was buffet style and the huge room for 6 diners made it a bit soulless.

This is a great place to stay. Genuinely helpful and friendly staff. The young lady on reception was a joy to deal with and is an asset to this hotel. Friendly, efficient, helpful. This really proves that any establishment is only as good as its staff and it is the staff here from the reception through to the bar and restaurant that make the place what it is and make for a very pleasant stay. The room is as comfortable as you would expect and nicely spacious too. The location is very handy indeed. I love Derry anyway, but this place makes it even better. The restaurant is also very good indeed.

The property was comfortable, clean and very well kept! Fairly central to everywhere we needed and wanted to be during our trip. Staff were amazing. Never without a smile and all hugely accommodating. Couldn’t fault them at all

If I were to be very particular. Tiled stairs to the entrance were a bit of a sore spot for me mainly due to the fear of slipping. Especially in the time round about our stay as it was particularly wet at the time.

The staff are lovely,especially Ryan in the bar who made us beautiful hot chocolate after a night in the cold…then the morning staff in restaurant were very obliging also

We were dissapointed we weren’t told about the McDonalds up the road(crescent link) when we arrived,we were pushed for time and needed to eat…we were directed to the shopping centre but it closed at 5.30 so had to join a massive queue for the one chippy van available,it puts some stress onto our night…we will know for next time

The Hotel is near the Peace Bridge short walk over Bridge to Derry city's bars restaurants, because of the rain that night Hotel receptionist organised a taxi for us to go into city, taxi arrived in minutes

Really enjoyed staying at the Waterfoot Hotel. Hotel staff friendly welcoming. Enjoyed the snug bar. Big open fire, music, bar staff friendly, especially barman Marty very accommodating friendly introduce himself to us. First class service all round

Everything from reception was perfect. Courtesy from the entire staff was first class. This hotel is a real pleasure to stay in. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Warm and cosy. The restaurant was a pleasure to dine in and the food was lovely, complimented with a nice wine. The Snug Bar was perfect for an after dinner drink and to relax in front of a nice open fire was very homely. We will definitely be re-booking and highly recommending the hotel to friends and family.
