Everything - the room was gorgeous, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were so good we've ordered some for home. Fantastic walk-in shower with amazing water pressure, it was like having a massage. We booked a standard double so didn't have a river view but such a lovely touch is that when you turn the TV on, you can see the view from the front of the Boathouse and see the rowers and swans. There was a good choice of breakfast from continental to cooked items all served in the conservatory with lovely views of the river. We had dinner in the restaurant on both evenings and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. If you want to go into Bath, the Park and Ride bus service is right next to the Boathouse and drops you in the centre of the city in less than 10 minutes.Really looking forward to a return visit and highly recommend a stay here.

Nothing.

The wide choice of breakfast items was commendable. The room was comfortable and the tea/coffee making facility was much appreciated after a day out sight-seeing. The controls for the shower were effective and easy to operate. The location, being adjacent to the river and the 'park & ride' facility, was excellent.

A loose fitting on the toilet seat in Room 8 needs to be rectified. Not sure if the extraction facility in the bathroom ceiling was working. A small shelf above or close to the wash basin would have been useful. Some hot chocolate sachets in addition to the tea and coffee sachets in the room would have been appreciated.

Room was immaculate. and well presented. Bed was comfortable, breakfast catered for all our needs. no faults at all with the breakfast. Location is superb for the views over the river. and quiet location at night. Park and Ride is excellent value for a 7 min ride into town centre. Seating area outside is comfortable and relaxing and has parasol heaters and led lights to give a nice finish to your evening drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Cleaner was very friendly and chatted about places to visit in the area.

Evening meal on our sunday night arrival we felt was poor quality. and chose to eat out other nights. Drinks prices on a par to most bars around the area.

The location was perfect for visiting Bath with the adjacent and well priced park and ride buses ideal. Our room, we believe the best due to size, the copper bath and having the balcony overlooking the garden and river, was very comfortable. The table in the upper landing with supply of fruit, milk, teas etc along with the on-tap water choices was a lovely and welcome idea. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Sorry to say, the restaurant let the side down as for convenience we dined there the four nights we stayed. Waiting times for meals was slow both in the evening and at breakfast. For the few nights we were there we had four occassions that the wrong ordered item was brought (food and drink) and twice one of our evening main courses was below standard. I did not make a complaint the first time (a braised meat) but had no option the next night (roast beef) to be advised they were trying a new supplier - well if that supplier is not to standard - do not serve their product! My complant was attended to.

The room was a good size with a big and very comfy bed. The bathroom was large and clean. The room was really nicely decorated and furnished. The setting is beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding.

The property has very narrow corridors with corners that were not passable with a standard size wheelchair as there wasn’t a clear turning circle. I would recommend wheelchair users specifically ask for a room near the lift. We arrived about 8pm and the car park was very full, we had to park quite far away from the entrance which was difficult with the wheelchair. There are “disabled parking” spaces but these were full and no blue badges were being displayed.

This honestly is one of the nicest places I have seated! We were travelling back from Glastonbury and it was late so this was a last minute booking, got there at 10pm and I was fed up of driving, so needed to stop! Got there and the manager was so welcoming and friendly showing me to my room! I think she could tell from the look in my face a week in a tent I needed a good night fiery! She even asked if I would like a room with a bath! Yes please, and it was the best bath ever! Plus having a glass of wine! I felt so relaxed! The bed was so big and extremely comfortable! The pillows were perfect! I’m the morning we woke up late and missed breakfast, but the staff were so accommodating and got the chef to cook us a full English breakfast! It was out of this world! I was not expecting that! So delicious and the oat latte! Lush! Definitely set us up right for the 4 hour journey home! They didn’t even rush us to leave our room by 11am I think they could tell we had had a full in week! The ladies that were going to Clean our room were so friendly and told us not to rush! We talked about the festival and it really was a wonderful way to end our week! I’m 110% coming back to the Boat House it was simply amazing!

The fact I couldn’t stay longer!

the room was big and comfortable with a balcony and fabulous views, hot air balloons took off every morning from the field opposite the bathroom was big and clean with a fantastic walk in shower the breakfast was very good with a great menu also the evening meal was great with a good menu

the property needs more staff some of the public areas needed a good cleaning but nothing too bad that it would prevent me from wanting to return our veranda needed some TLC, unfortunately a smoker had left cig ends in a plant pot instead of cleaning them up and the rooms where a nonsmoking area which probably includes the veranda

The rooms were lovely and a good size for the prices. The location, by the canal is lovely and the bar served a good range of beers, wines and spirits and the staff were really attentive. Breakfast was also really good with lots of options that suited everyone's needs, and you can pick and choose what you want from the cooked breakfast menu, so you can eat what you want to eat, not just what is on the list.

I ordered a rack of lamb for dinner, a rack of lamb is not two small lamb chops! I am an ex butcher, so if the the menu writer needs advice on what a rack is, I am happy to oblige! Apart from this small grumble, the stay was really good.

Beautiful pub with rooms. Very handy for Bath but also gorgeous in its own right. it on the river where there was rowing in the early morning and stand up paddle boarding in the afternoon (hire place right there in the pub garden). Super comfortable bed. Gorgeous bathroom with a copper slipper bath and a monsoon shower. Lovely balcony with swing chair and a part of Adirondack chairs and tab. Fab breakfast in the morning with a whole honeycomb in a rack to cut pieces from along with fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and all manner of cooked things available too. Just lovely all round.

Nothing. All lovely.

This lovely hotel set next to the river was delightful. Our room was shabby chic, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and very clean. Nice shower room, with plenty of toiletries, good supply of tea, coffee etc. The bonus was the table in the corridor that had extras such as tea, coffee milk and even fresh fruit on it if you ran out. We had a meal in the evening which was superb, and the breakfast was exceedingly good, all served by pleasant waiting staff. Would definitely go again but this time would like a room overlooking the river and not the car park. Could be a bit noisy.

Nothing. no comlaints
