Village Hotel Bournemouth

It’s a lovely hotel , nice room and the bar & grill do lovely food with great facilities.

The hotel location is not the best, not near anything at all not even a shop. We arrived on a Sunday evening and realised there is nothing near by and have to make sure you have a car. Our room didn’t have the best view which was ok didn’t bother us but got woken by the gym music and very loud instructor’s daily. One of the days it started at 6.30am and another day got woken by drilling 7.30/8am which we was getting up anyway but for a hotel and Work being done I would think it would be later or we would of been told. So not slept in at all during my break away. Very noisy!!

Bed was lovely, shower was big, pool was amazing and clean, bar food was nice.

The breakfast cost £45 for my husband and I and our 2 children. We ent down at 7.45am when it opens at 7.30. we were met with darkness and noone to serve us, the hot food was out so I called and someone appeared and charged us for breakfast, only to find there was no butter and no juices out. By the time I found someone and they got butter and juices we had finished.. so I paid £20 for our 2 daughters to have dry toast with jam and that's it.... We were not happy at all.

I stay here frequently. Checking in is always made easy with the happy front of house team. What's not to like about the Village Hotel Bournemouth. Starbucks on premise. A great value for money grill bar. The leasure facilities are my favourite though. Book a club room and get full access included in the room cost and a super king size bed for the perfect nights sleep. The facilities are always clean. The leasure staff are always happy friendly and helpful. I'll be back again very soon.

If im being really picky. A nice touch would be a water machine or tap for topping up bottles poolside for rehydration from the steam and sauna.

Business trip was at the hotel so good to be in one place. Good facilities with friendly staff who were very helpful. Food during the training course was lovely. Comfortable room. I liked that there was a bath as well as a shower

For someone who hasn’t stayed before (which I have) needing room key to activate lights might be confusing. My room was very warm and unable to open window due to a safety lock which staff kindly provided a fan which helped to cool the room. Unfortunately the usb plugs at either side of bed did not work.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Club room, it was exceptionally clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom and shower was great, had access to the gym and pool facilities which again were very good all nice and clean not one issue. Very well priced for the standard of the room, hotel and facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful on check in and again for the staff managing the facilities. Would definitely recommend to anyone especially if you're staying a few nights and would want the extra facilities.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Village hotel, very friendly staff, made very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Good choice of breakfast, Leisure facilities superb Couldent fault it, and will definitely return We had a standard double room, and two familiy rooms, travelled with our sons and their families for a wedding our very young grandchildren were made to feel welcome , nothing to much trouble Thank you, for a great 2 night stay to all at the village hotel Bournemouth

only downside paying, for infants to eat half a bowl of cereal at breakfast but charge is same as adult, £12.50

Well I had booked for breakfast every morning for the time I was there and l meet a girl in the restaurant who was racist towards us , she asked us about our room number we give her then as we were taking our food she came back and asked only us if we had paid for our breakfast.which made us feel an comfortable we couldn't even eat our breakfast properly,

We know that some people may not like us because of skin colour , and it's not our fault that God created us in the colours we in some of your staff were racist and racism is not acceptable to anyone.

The hotel is very modern and stylish. It has lots to offer, I love the fact it has a gym with a pool. It also has a bar and grill which serves delicious food. It also has a Starbucks which is an added bonus. The location is great, with lots of well known restaurants and a retail park. Bournemouth pier is about 10mins by car, it’s a lovely beach with a lot to offer from the arcade, restaurants and retail shops.

The hotel only had one lift. Two would have been much more convenient. The room we stayed in also needed a mini fridge so I could keep my bottled water cold, also a heated towel rail would have been perfect for the bathroom.

Pool, spa area clean. Friendly reception staff ( Jack especially) and helpful pool staff. Good air con.

Half the pool was laned for swimmers where about 4 people used it and in the other half was about 50 people ( not very family friendly). The room was very small if someone sat on the chair no one could walk passed as the bed was there. The children's beds were not proper beds but mattresses on the floor. No mirror where the chair and table was, mirror in bathroom without a plug. Only plug by long mirror in the room so sat on floor to straighten my hair. Window tiny not much daylight.

When we found a problem with our room (of the three we booked), the member of staff was able to change our room within a few minutes despite the hotel being almost full. He was very helpful.

I am very allergic to chemicals and noticed a strong 'chemical' smell in the room that hadn't dissipated within an hour of arrival so we asked for a change of room, asking the above member of staff if he could let us know the result of their investigation. The only thing he and the housekeeping staff thought was that it may be the new carpet that has recently been fitted. I also found the breakfast expensive, despite very poor quality ingredients, ie the potato cubes and, to a lesser degree, the baked beans.
