Breakfast was amazing, especially the local produce. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The garden was a real suntrap and lovely to sit in on what was a beautiful but slightly chilly day. Our room was clean and spacious. So peaceful when the pub locked up for the evening. Lovely range of toiletries and the bar had an excellent range of drinks.

The shower had no pressure, so was a struggle to clean my long hair. Poor Wi-Fi, which we struggled to gain access to and very poor internet & phone reception due to the landscape.

The pub was beautiful with a cosy fire place. We had planned to travel to the Bath Christmas market by getting the train. However we soon realised the trains were on strike and there were no trains. The lovely lady behind the bar went out of her way to ring local taxi’s for us but they were all busy. She went above and beyond and worked out the bus we needed to catch. Without her help we wouldn’t of made it to the Christmas market, she went above and beyond for us and we are truly grateful. I never got your name but thank you.

Wi-Fi wasn’t great but wasn’t a massive deal.

Location was brilliant for both car and train travel. Bath 16 minutes away by train with frequent service. Room was perfect for short break, with view over garden. Breakfast was cooked per person with local produce. Enough dinner menu choices for our stay. Good knowledge of other places in town too. All of the staff team were very friendly and helpful throughout. Went the extra mile with a few of our requests. Thought gone in to providing a fan and a heater, layered bedding, pillows and cushions to create own comfort levels easily. We would like to return as a lot to see round and about and it is a great relaxing base to return to.

Location was lovely, room was beautiful and so roomy, had a fan which was nice because it was a warm night, breakfast was lovely cooked fresh too. Tastefully decorated with a beautiful bathroom. Just wish we had more time to explore the area further.

Bed was a little firm and stairs were a tight squeeze getting our luggage up to the room, but i guess thats the whole experience of hotels of that era.

Ideal location for visiting our son who lives in Bradford on Avon. Super convenient location, helpful staff and reasonable value for money

There was a problem with the Central heating the night we arrived which meant there was no hot water the next morning for washing or showering but, the issue was resolved later than day. By way of an apology they didn't charge us for Breakfast for the first night stay.

This is by far one of the best "B&B Pubs" that we have stayed in. The rooms had recently been decorated and whilst there were a few areas that needed a bit more attention to detail our room was fresh and clean and well presented, The bed was very comfortable and whilst the pub is an exceptionally old building with the coldness being evident, the pub provides excellent additional heaters and thick curtains in the Tithe Room. Staff were so helpful, nothing too much trouble, the food was fabulous, we had the breakfast and an evening meal in the form of a Pizza and it is reasonably priced. Considering we stayed here in January it was still a gorgeous village to walk around, was great to see the canal boats that sat alongside the pub with access to the canal from the garden, there are a couple of other quirky pubs around, when open, so always check, it may not so difficult with COVID restrictions eased. A bus stop can be found maybe ten minutes away that will take you in to town, with a large array of good shops. All in all, a great find, would definately stay again, would love to visit in the summer to appreciate the walled garden. If you do bring a car, inform reception at the bar and sign in your vehicle every 24 hours, you will then not be charged.

A little more attention to detail with the decorating, paint on the curtains, tie backs off the wall, paint on the carpet, after spending so much effort into upgrading the rooms, the minor detail lets it down a tiny bit. We know the premises is old and that you cannot have double glazing, but the rooms and eating areas including the bar are very cold and it can sometimes be off putting having to sit around in a coat but it adds to the character, the building is beautiful, This is probably the only drawback that the building is very cold, but what it lacks for in heat it certainly makes up for in personality.

Lovely position on a sunny day you can seat outdoor in the green area by the canal, there Is also a garden table area, inside 3 rooms each one with chimney for a cozy athmosphere during the night. 10 minutes walk to the station, Just over the bridge a big park with playground for Kids.

We booked two double rooms, big and small, but we paid same price for both this Is not right

The staff were very welcoming and chatty. Very good location for walking into town centre and it’s amenities. Excellent breakfast. Sunday lunch recommended. In fact all the food we had was very good

It could have done with a good tidy up outside as it didn’t give a good 1st impression. The stair carpet up to rooms could do with replacing as quite dirty. No lock on backdoor which we felt left the guest rooms a little vulnerable

The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They rectified as best they could any difficulties we had in the room regarding lighting and the provision of a mirror. I will definitely be returning when we visit family in Bradford on Avon. Cosy accommodation with fires in bar area and dining area. Really lovely olde worlde listed building.

It was a little noisy on our arrival in the bar area. It was Boxing Day and a group of rowdy lads were having a great time in the bar. Just unfortunate that our room was over the bar. Fortunately it only lasted for an hour or two. The lighting in the room was very poor. Sadly a very dim centre light and very modern and bright bulbs without shade in the bedside lamps. Maybe to some people's liking but personally too bright for our liking.

Breakfast was not included in the cost of the room but a good selection was offered. We also had an evening meal which we both enjoyed. Our room was a good size overlooking the garden. Bathroom and shower were very clean. Dogs are very welcome and there are plenty of walks in this lovely location.

Everything fine
