SACO Bristol West India House

1. There is a small lift in the house and hence it is convenient for me to take our luggage to our room on the third floor. 2. There is a central reception in another building and hence even it can take care of parcel sent to us and we can keep our luggage in the reception during the first day of arrival in the morning and then check in later in the afternoon. 3. There are colleagues on duty and in one occasion, there was a false fire alarm. Someone did knock on our door and made sure we were fine. 4. They provide strong wifi. 5. The location is very good. The apartment is within walking distance to major places in the Bristolk's town centre.

We stayed on the top floor in apartment 13. Check in was easy, just a key fob in the lock box. the apartment was a one bedroom apartment with a large bedroom a large living space. The washer/dryer was fantastic. And it was lovely having a Kitchen. The views of the river is calming.

I would have preferred softer bedding, pillows and a top sheet. We both didn’t sleep great. The cleanliness was rough around the edges. The dining table had sauce smears. The silverware and plates had bit of food on them. We made sure to rinse our dishes before loading into the dishwasher so this wouldn’t happen to the next guest. Lastly because all the doors pull shut unless propped open. The bathroom is growing a moderate amount of black mold on the trim and door because it can’t air out.

Location was fantastic, room was a generous size with high ceilings. Very comfortable stay.

Our only complaint was the fridge. On its high setting it would part freeze items, on its low setting there would be a puddle of water in the fridge limiting use of the bottom section. We couldn't find a good medium, unfortunately. Other than this small issue we found everything else well thought-out and in very good condition.

Second stay here - it's our favourite hotel in Bristol! The rooms are modern and immaculately clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, and it's centrally located right near St. Nicholas Market and many of the best restaurants. I particularly love the enormous windows overlooking the leafy canal. It's a great place to relax.

As it isn't staffed full-time there's nowhere to leave luggage for the day either before or after checkout. Perhaps some extra soap, washing up liquid, and kitchen towels would have been useful, but I really don't have any serious complaints at all.

All fantastic, the room was nice, warm, quiet (even being at the center of the city) cozy, with great river views. The guest manager was so kind, we had some problems with the keys and the Wifi and he managed it really well. We'll repeat for sure, recommended.

Minor thing, just for the manager to be aware: the bath tap drip a little, from app. 5.

We had the best night’s sleep we’ve had in ages with an amazingly comfortable mattress and pillows (I need to find out what they use!). The whole apartment seemed newly refurbished and was impeccably clean with modern stylish furniture, good WiFi (one for each apartment) and a great location overlooking the river which was surprisingly quiet for how central it was.

If I had to nitpick, I wished there was complimentary hand soap in the kitchen and our key code didn’t work upon entry, but that was fixed with a short phone call (helpful staff but we didn’t see any while we were there). It would also have been nice to be able to leave our luggage for the day after but with no front desk it wasn’t possible unless you walk to their other larger location. But really it’s hard to find anything serious to complain about as it was so lovely. We’d stay again

The room was in the almshouses area of Bristol a short 10 minute walk from the harbour. We were on the 2nd floor looking out over a canopy of trees to the Avon below. The canopy provided privacy in a busy restaurant/bar area of the city. A 2 minute walk away was a large outside seated area for approximately 250 people. The room was very clean and had full cooking facilities a seated table area and a large bathroom.

The lift was very slow

Asked for a room fan & hairdryer to be put in the room & this sorted out promptly. Very pleased.

The landing light shone underneath my studio flat door & lit up my room on a night. Perhaps an internal door once inside the studio would eliminate this issue.

The location and views.

The mattress of the sofa bed was covered in debris that had not been removed. There were no robes. There was no obvious place to sit and dry ones hair close to a mirror and power point. The shower fitting over the bath would not sit properly.

We would highly recommend the apartment. The location was excellent, the apartment was spotless and had everything you needed. Very comfortable. Small elevator to bring us to the top Floor. Excellent communication with host. Thank you
