The hotel location was ideal for where we were working. There was a bar and good 'pub' food on offer so we had no need to find restaurants etc. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in restoration and is a bit tired looking but all was clean, Covid safe and accessible. The shower was excellent and the room although not 'luxurious' was adequate for our one night stay. The price for the room was very good!.

There was a kettle and tea bags etc in our room but no cups - but if we had asked I'm sure we could have got some. Parking in Bristol is dreadful - however we were lucky as on Sunday night restrictions don't apply.

The staff of the hotel was really kind. Also, we've loved the fact that we hadn't any limitation to go inside or outside of the hotel at any hour. We had a lot of facilities and we've enjoyed our kettle with the coffe we had, all thanks to the hotel. The room was really nice with nice views. Im general, a really good experience with a nice price.

The only small problem we had at our room was that the water pressure of the bath/shower wasn't the best. Also, we needed some tricks to be able to use the hot water on the sower. It was easier to have a nice hot bath than a hot shower.

Perfect. Very friendly team. Beautiful historical building with nice interiors. My room had gorgeous bath. There is popular pub inside so you feel as part of the community. Pub closes at 11 pm so its really quite and calm at night. Also amazing breakfasts and food there. Location is not right at the city centre, but that what makes the stay comfortable as there are no noises. Bonus: there are a lot if foxes living in the area :) My best wishes to the team, hope to come back!

We were delighted with our stay at this lovely hotel. The building is beautiful and the location is excellent, a quick walk into the centre. We were very surprised to see how busy the bar and beer garden were and they had a reaĺly brilliant atmosphere The family bedroom we had was really clean and cosy, yet spacious. The beds were really comfy! The staff we came into contact with were all really helpful, friendly and chatty We would certainly return to this hotel!

There is nothing we didn't like...i noted in some other reviews people said that the hotel was shabby...I think its fair to say, this is an old building and there were some small areas of touching up to be done in the hotel room (small chips in wall and a new lick of paint) but the room, the towels and the beds were all spotlessly clean.

Location was nice and the bed was lovely, my room had a nice view too.

The shower head was VERY mouldy. The rest of the bathroom was clean and shiny but the showerhead looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months maybe years. I used a wipe on it and it came off pretty easily, however I dreaded to think what was inside it. So I didn't use the shower during my stay. My brother lives round the corner so I used his instead. Also the main staircase inside the building is not level and was concerning.

Lovely location in Clifton, with hotel rooms above the pub. Very comfortable double bed and a good shower/bath. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had worried when I booked that it might be noisy but I had two good nights sleep.

Free instant coffee was offered with breakfast. Freshly made coffee was available at extra cost but not listed on the menu. Otherwise no complaints and would happily stay here again when I’m next in Bristol.

Really lovely hotel with a great little pub. The rooms were comfortable and a good size, facilities were great for the price we paid. We paid extra for the breakfast in the mornings and so pleased we did! The staff at the hotel were so friendly and couldn’t have done more to make our stay fantastic! They were accommodating of my noisy one year old son and made us all feel very welcome.

Due to the outside temperature, the rooms were so hot we struggled to sleep at night. I appreciate this is out of your control but the fan we were given to use by the hotel hardly worked and unfortunately no other available.

Very helpful at reception changing my room. Good location. Comfortable and upgraded to a far nicer room because of TV not working in the first room.

TV didn't work in my first room. Not much loo roll in first room and no spare. Overall rather 'tired' fittings and carpets - e.g. sink and bath plugs not attached to their chains, hooks for 'squeezy' shampoo and soap bottles missing with marks on the walls where they had been. Not the end of the world for a one night business stay, but might have been disappointed if I was on holiday.

Bed was comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to book a table outside in the beer garden to meet friends from Bristol.

Our room was on the top floor so very hot. Unable to open the window more than a couple of inches due to safety reasons and the small portable fan was hopeless. The furniture needs upgrading and the beer garden was scruffy. So many young people working there but it seems no one cleans.

Fantastic location and views. We had a family room and a single. The family was a good size, the single small, but both had baths. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great and good friendly service. Nice pub garden and very close to Clifton.

The room was hot, just a small fan available. The hotel needs some TLC, the paint twork is very tired and brown and carpets could be replaced.
