The room had all the comforts and an ensuite. Michael, the owner, was a nice host and available for any request, also quite knowledgeable of the area he suggested a couple of places for breakfast and dinner that we tried and appreciated. Every time we came back to the room, there were new chocolates for us and it was tidy up and ready for the night. We really liked the attention to details and care for the guests. The parts of the house available to the guests are beautiful and include the garden. The house is a dream and well connected to the centre and other main places of interests.

Everything was up to my expectations.

It was so lovely to be made to feel looked after. The room was lovely and everything was explained by Michael. It was clean and the added extras were very much appreciated. Michael is very knowledgeable of his area and proud of it too. He even took the extra step of contacting the restaurant we were booked for a meal to upgrade our table, for which we are extremely grateful.

The only issue would be maybe clearer directions to property as it is up a long narrow driveway. Parking is out on the road which is incredibly quiet, so that wasn't the problem. It was just finding this gem of a stay.

Wow! Amazing value for money! What a find! I couldn't have asked for more. This is honestly the best BnB I've ever stayed in, hands down. The location is ultra quiet but within reasonable walking distance from the main centre. The cottage itself has a great fusion of modern, yet homely mod cons. They clearly take pride in what they do, with too many small touches and additions to name here. Spotlessly clean, a bed that gave me the best night's sleep I've had in months, and the host, Michael was friendly and very helpful, organizing a taxi for me the next day and offering me advice on where to eat. If you need a good night's rest in a home away from home, I truly don't think you are going to find a better deal. ❤️

This place is perfect, there are no downsides.

Our host was friendly, easy to communicate with and extremely helpful accommodating us with everything we needed, and even booked a table for dinner for us at a local themed pub, which has delicious food BTW. Our room was clean, cosy, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern and clean with a great shower too. We wished we had stayed a few more nights as we were most welcome to enjoy the beautifully landscaped backyard which had a separate area set up just for guests. Overall we had a fabulous stay.

We didn't stay a few more nights

We had a 3 night stay at the end of June 2023. The accommodation and been recently re-decorated to a high standard, it was spotlessly clean with a very modern en-suite, complimented with the use of the beautiful garden. Michael and Sue could not be any more welcoming, providing excellent recommendations of local restaurants and ideas of things to do that really enhanced our stay. We loved Christchurch and the surrounding areas and will definitely return and will stay at Bub Lane Cottage. Thank you.

There was nothing not to like

I have just returned from Bub Lane Cottage and had a really good time. Michael is happy to answer any questions you may have and can recommend places to visit and restaurants to eat at. He actually made 2 advance reservations for me and the restaurants were very good. I found Michael to be welcoming and very helpful. He would always check in with you that things were ok, which I thought was a nice touch, and would also enquire what kind of day you had. The continental breakfast was delicious. The Cottage is in a good location with easy access to Christchurch, Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach. Could not fault the bedroom nor the comfortable bed nor the bathroom which had everything you needed. You won't be disappointed staying here. Thank you Michael for such an enjoyable stay!

Nothing negative to report.

Great host who was professional, polite and engaging. Room was very well presented and appointed. Had all the facilities you could need for a short stay in the Mudeford/ Christchurch area. Extras included the option of fresh milk for tea and coffee; that's rare in my experience. Very good breakfast with good choice of fresh fruit and plenty of toast/ pastries. Fresh coffee in a large pot meant we didn't have to wait for refills. Best BnB we been too in a very long time.

Absolutely nothing.

We took the fresh early morning walk at Avon beach to get there by car, it is also 30min walking distance. We took the boat trip from Christchurch quay to Mudeford. The owner Mike gave us the country side walking route which took approx 20min. We drove Tyneham village which has beautiful and quiet beach, walking and the site for snorkelers. It took for 1hour drive and would recommend to return same way as we took the ferry to return for the experience although Mike warns it. As a result it took total 3hours more. Owner Mike and Sue was very relaxed and friendly, we are welcomed to use the their garden furniture. There was only one room available so we are only tenant. They brings fresh water jug and fresh milk and chocolate regularly. Two lovely cats are welcoming to you. They also gave us the recommendation for the local restaurant and pubs meal,as well.

Michael and Suzanne were lovely host, very accommodating and have good knowledge of the area. Room was very comfortable and clean. Slept really well comfy bed and in a quite neighbourhood. Breakfast was healthy and plentiful, and good value.

Wasn't anything I didn't like. If I wanted to be picky, it would be that there was no parking at the property it's self,but this wasn't really a issue since parking was avaliable nearby and was free.

Beautiful room with bathroom, super clean , comfortable , with all needs . Electric kettle with mugs in the room, nice size flat tv, strong wifi, thick curtains and cute decorations. The charming and cozy garden was always at our disposal. The owner - Michael - is the one of the nicest person who we ever meet :) we were always getting fresh milk to our coffee and fresh water to drink, fresh tea cookies every day and we even were finding sweet suprise after we got back to room. Michael was very helpful with everything what we needed. Quiet, cute and very clean cottage with romantic lavender smell in great location, 20 min walk to the beach, 5 mins to lakes, around 30 min to city centre through green footpath ( ask Michael ) very very recommended ! <3
