Nice location and great parking to the rear of the pub. It was good that the room had its own “front door” access. Room was very clean and super cosy! I loved the homely decor because it made it feel as if I was staying in someone’s home and not a hotel.

My only criticism was that the curtains were not black-out enough. The unfortunate thing is, there is a really bright street lamp right outside the window and it’s shining through the curtains as you try to get to sleep.

Location - right in the centre of the village. We visited in January when it was cold but the room was nice and warm ( The heating is fully adjustable ). The rooms are very nicely converted from the old stables at the rear. Access is easy from the car park without having to go through the pub.

No food available but this did not matter as there is a great place for breakfast just over the road and other pubs and restaurants within a short walk.

It was a large room with plenty of space for our bags, it had a comfortable bed and featured a great hospitality tray. Very welcoming staff. Was a perfect location for us on the high street and represented great value for money

The room was a narrow, long shape so the space at the end of the bed was very tight making it harder to move around the bed. Room was located by the pub's beer garden at the back and therefore there was some (not unreasonable) noise during the evening and later on when people left you opening and shutting of gates and talking. There was also a delivery to the pub, outside our room early in the morning. Bathroom was a little small

The landlord had switched my accommodation to a courtyard room, as the rooms over the bar can be noisy. Much appreciated. There was a good writing table, and the shower room had heated towel rails to dry my socks and undies. Convenient location in the middle of the town with shops and restaurants close by. Plastic tray for putting boots on - excellent idea.

A large bed in a small room. I could either sleep on the side with the bedside table, with no light switch within reach, and have a narrow passage to the toilet, or sleep on the side nearest the bathroom with no bedside table. There was a stool at the writing table, but no upright or easy chair.

Everything! The best hotel I have stayed at along the Thames so far. Gorgeous, stylish, in a fantastic location. Will definitely come back and already have recommended it to friends.

The triple room had a big floorspace, gorgeous comfy beds, and huge fluffy bathtowels. There was a blackout blind to help keep the room dark (if only we had noticed!). Shower was excellent. The room was very clean and I would stay here again. Shame there was no breakfast but Tesco was across the road and you can get all you need for a continental there. The locals in the pub downstairs were all very friendly.

The heating could have come on in the morning - but may be that was related to the clocks going forward.

Good location. Great for a 1 night stay. Shower in the triple room was very good, nice and powerful.

The double room had water noises- either a tap dripping or a cistern filling - at random times throughout the night. In the triple room, whilst the bedding was perfectly clean and of good quality, the pillow smelt slightly musty.

Loved the character of the building. Room clean and comfortable. It was as expected. Not super fancy but suited our needs. Nice garden to sit out and enjoy a drink. Came on a motorbike, rang before booking as we wanted to check how secure parking was. Manager very helpful and happy for us to put our heavy motorbike gear, boots crash helmet etc in the room when we arrived before check in time!

No complaints!

great location for meeting local family, room was decorated nicely, clean and tidy and wasn’t too noisy. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. car parking right behind and rooms up some stairs above pub.

lighting in the room in the evening was a bit of a nightmare when trying to pop makeup on and do hair, even with light on and a table lamp I couldn’t see in mirror. bathroom was nice and bright, but shaving mirror attached to wall was tiny and I was not tall enough to see in it 🙃😂

Room comfortable, lots of tea and coffee available. Great shower

Roller blind didn’t cut all light out. A little noisy on Friday night but all quiet after 12, room is next to beer garden, but not major issue as did quieten down after midnight.
