This was our second stay at the Mason’s Arms this winter, after falling in love with the building, astonishing food and relaxed service from the brilliant team who made us feel genuinely welcome. The pub is an absolute gem, beautifully decorated and in a great location. Upon our arrival the team welcomed us to join the Christmas carols event with the locals in the village green where we were served mulled wine and incredible mince pies, just another example of how guests are treated like locals. Definitely book a table for dinner, the food is exceptional (as is breakfast). We’ll definitely be going again in the new year. Happy Christmas to everybody at the Mason’s Arms.

Literally nothing.

This is a cute little country pub in a pretty village. My mother and I stayed in a quadruple room, which was essentially interconnected double and twin rooms, each with their own bathroom. The décor is classic and tastefully done, with bare stone walls and lots of woollen throws and cushions. We enjoyed lovely meals in the pub both in the evening and at breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was available on site (though I initially parked a couple of streets away until this was told to me upon check in).

The view from the room wasn't great, but we had specifically requested those interconnecting rooms, so there's not much that can be done about that. The bathroom was a little squeezy, but fine for one night.

Wonderful location and very central for getting around. Found some wonderful places to visit including Bidbury, but go early in the morning. Very busy with Tourists! Cirencester has a lovely local market on Friday. If you enjoy walking, beautiful countryside and National Trust properties! The staff at the Masons Arms couldn't have been more attentive and always had a smile on their faces and ready with advice and help. If you have a doggy friend with you they will be very welcome! Certainly hope to revisit and our son and daughter in law already booked in for 3 nights the following week.

If you are expecting a large room the bedrooms are on the small side. However, the building is old and therefore to be expected. Everywhere spotless and bathroom looked new with super toiletries supplied!

Booked this hotel as part of a last minute trip to The Cotswolds, such a steal! The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious- it didn’t feel cramped like some country hotels can feel. There was an issue with payment via Booking.com so I called up the hotel in advance and the staff were very helpful and assured me that I could pay on arrival or departure. The staff were very friendly and even gave us some recommendations before we left to explore Cirencester. The room can with breakfast included and it was a lovely breakfast that gave us a boost at the start of our day. The only downside to the hotel is it can be difficult to find a good parking spot during busy times and it was a little bit further out from Cirencester than we might have liked but it was only a 15-20 minute drive away, ideal if you’d prefer a quieter location. Other than that, this was a great stay and I’d recommend Masons Arms to others.

Brilliant, dog friendly country pub. Rooms were comfy and spotless and the food was yummy. Both the evenings meals and breakfast were superb. No extra charges for the dog who was made every bit as welcome as we were and the doggy towels were a nice touch.

Glad I booked the superior family room as it was still compact even for just 2. And it maybe isn’t the best place to stay if you’re away on business and want fast broadband as the WiFi dropped out quite a bit, but it is a country pub so to be expected really.

Situated in a lovely little village with superb walks for the dog..... Accommodation was very comfortable clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant area superb. Meal on the evening was very good..... camembert starter unbelievable and plenty of bread... breakfast had plenty of choice and portion sizes for the Full English were spot on.... Staff were very accommodating and friendly too.... would definitely stop there again.....

This is more to do with the location and amenities.... No shop within walking distance. Didn't want a shopping mall just a convenience store would have been perfect...

Charming pub with lots of character and great location not far from the centre of Cirencester and for exploring the rest of the Cotswolds. Food was delicious we had a table Friday evening the menu had plenty to offer. Breakfast was included and was great too and set us up for the day. Staff were really welcoming and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and wished it had of been longer.

Our room was fabulous number 4 standard double with en-suite. Though we booked our parents into room 7 a superior double room which I didn’t think lived up to the standards of our room. I don’t think the bathroom was as nice as ours the toilet seat was stained all old yellow and apparently the wardrobe rail was hanging on by a thread. So this was disappointing to hear when our room was amazing as the trip was for my Dad’s 60th so was all for them. I would still recommend a standard double room though I didn’t want to leave, wished we had booked for longer.

Lovely country pub with very friendly staff who were extremely helpful with helping us book a taxi to our wedding venue.

Although the room was lovely, there was very little light in the room, only two dim lights on either side of the bed (one bulb not working) and a standard lamp and then one set of lights by the mirror by the door. The window was very small, so obviously didn't let much light in but it didn't help that the roman blind was broken so wouldn't stay up properly. I do wish that these hotels/B&B's would consider the older women who often have failing sight and have to wear spectacles and find it difficult to see to do their makeup! It would be great if a magnified light mirror was provided, I've often taken my own with me purely so I can apply my makeup!

This is a lovely hotel in a pretty village. It is quite cosy though not very spacious. The location is convenient for you to explore Costwolds. The village itself worths a short walk as well. The food (breakfast & dinner) is good. The staff are very nice and helpful. You can always find a place to park, which is not a big deal.

We stayed for 1 night as a stop over on a journey down south from Yorkshire and found this beaut pub on Booking.com. We booked as it was dog friendly, included breakfast and had a walk in shower. Staff were fantastic, food was simply beaut from the evening meal to the very filling full English breakfast the next morning. Portion size was very good. Towels provided for the dog, tests in the bar area for them also. Nice green space outside for the dog to do her business and rural walks within minutes for further adventures. Parking is very limited so we parked on the road which is pretty quiet the later it gets in the day. Overall, highly recommended and superb value for money.
