Reading some of the other reviews I saw that there were comments about the carpets in rooms. I do agree with them, our carpet had stains on it. However, the bedding was spotless, the bed was really comfy we had a great night's sleep and the bathroom was also spotless. The facilities were as described in the booking. Reception told me at booking in that there was extra towels and pillows in a cupboard in the room, although we didn't use them. The staff were great. Mu son has learning disabilities and LOVES staying in a hotel. The staff were very kind and chatty with him. Questions I asked about the menu were answered. The food was reasonably priced and good portions. So the carpet in the room was stained, but it was hoovered, so just don't look at rhe floor!!! For the price it was excellent.

Easy it find using public transport. All employees were polite, friendly & helpful. (Reception, breakfast waiter & housekeeping). I struggled to open the window, reception sent housekeeping to help open it. She offered to change rooms if I wasn't happy but didn't feel it was necessary for something small but appreciated the offer. Great value for money. Happy to stay again & would recommend 👌

Only downside was water pressure in the shower was low & temperature of the water kept going cold. Which ment shower time on both occasions took longer. To help ladies get ready would of been helpful if a plug was closer to the mirror to use hair straighteners.

CCTV private car park with lots of parking spaces. Served cooked breakfast plus continental breakfast was delicious with mixed fruit glasses. Good fried egg was over medium, but poached egg was extremely over cooked. My room was with good park & car park view, though the hotel is near B4006 motorway but traffic noise is quite low and not noticeable. The hotel is with excellent friendly staffs, good efficiency team working, hotel's engineer fixed loosen chair, not working bed lamp and leaking shower host at the next day after check- in. Sainsbury supermarket, gas station and M&S food hall is within walking distance.

Staff were very friendly, the young lady behind the counter at check in was extremely attractive and gave me such a lovely smile, which really made my day. So I'm homeless at the moment awaiting help from the council, but sleeping in my car most of the time. This stay was just so I could get a decent night's sleep and shower etc. The last place I stayed at in Swindon for the same 40 quid was an absolute dump, shared kitchen and bathroom and no facilities like tea or coffee or toilet roll or working shower! So I wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised! The room was basic, but functional, TV, tea and coffee, desk etc. It was also spotlessly clean. Some beds are too firm, but this was perfect for me, plenty of support but really soft and comfortable. Best nights sleep I've had for a while. Bar drinks were reasonable, and the bar TV is mahoosive, good for watching sports etc All in all, very impressed for the price of £40 for a Sunday night, but I don't think it would be worth the normal £70 price for weekdays.

Only a couple of things really. The shower kept going cold then really hot, then would be okay for a bit then go cold again. At least it worked and did the job though The background music in the bar was really dull and depressing. Having lost my home, partner, children and self employed business, I found myself sobbing over my beer. Obviously my personal problems are not that of the hotels, but at least play something less droll.

Stayed here for month that should tell you enough. The staff know me well enough that half my check in is done as I walk through the door

The rooms need updated and new carpets as none of us would lay on them. Just don't look good. But the rest of the rooms are cleaned daily. It is good value. Has a lot of trade people staying there. Longer vehicle spaces would be nice. But a friendly atmosphere I have people talk to me every night. Which is important as a lone traveller

Staff very helpful and welcoming The room was clean and comfortable , Would have appreciated a grab rail in the bath as teh shower and bath were combined . The Hotel although clean and tidy looked alittle tired. Evening meal was fine Did not have breakfast as I only have tea and toast and there appeared to be no option £10.00 or nowt. Otherwise all fine ( Oh yes the Guinness thing was broken so no Guinness

Breakfast only seeme dto be a single option see above £10.00 is a lot for 4 slices of toast and a pot of tea so declined .

This hotel is convenient for our trips to see family in Wilts and Glos

We were expecting to get a bar meal on the premises on Friday as we have done in the past. Unfortunately, this facility was unavailable until the Sunday. We had to go out for food. Perhaps we had missed this update when booking, Walking out of the main building into a cloud of cigarette smoke on the Friday evening. The smoking area is next to this entrance. NOT A GOOD THING TO EXPERIENCE

I liked that the hotel was spotless. I could have a hot bath. The bed was comfy. A decent tea/coffee tray although there is never enough milk for my liking and good TV viewing. The young lady on duty went out of her way to offer me a packet of complimentary biscuits when l.popped downstairs in search of snacks which l was able to buy from a vending machine. There was loads of secure parking.

I didn't like the noise of the traffic when l opened the window to cool the room down when it became stuffy. I found the space between the open bathroom door and access to the room very narrow which became very irritating, but l didn't want to close the door because there was no ventilation in the bathroom.

Staff were really friendly both on reception and at breakfast. Preordering breakfast was good and meant that everything was made fresh for my time slot. Room was clean and comfy.

The only thing that let this hotel down was the crowd of drunk men gathered at the entrance. From reading other reviews, this is a common problem. Walking through a crowd of drunk people and cannabis clouds to reach the door doesn't create a feeling of safety for guests. Perhaps solved by creating a designated smoking area away from the main entrance?

I was expecting a faceless empty reception, and rooms with stacked beds and a pod bathroom. I was wrong on all accounts and found the place suitably alive 24h with moderate but adequate rooms.

It is 3km out of Swindon centre, or a 15 minute bus ride. A sign in the road outside was registering old prices. Whilst I obtained better room rates than those advertised, I paid more for breakfast. When I pointed it out to the receptionist, she said that the price I paid was that listed on Booking and that they can't change the prices outside. Indeed, I happily paid the price on Booking, but the sign is deceptive if left lit up. She eventually conceded to say that she would notify the management.
