Most of the staff were friendly and professional- the breakfast team and the receptionist teams were outstanding. They couldn’t do enough for you - the members of staff with the blue shirts on make the hotel both very approachable to new comers and a very nice environment to come back to after a long day.

The lady manager wasn’t approachable and was very abrupt and we felt quite rude. We were a inconvenience to her. She should watch and learn from her amazing staff. I appreciate she had the hotel to run but without the guests she wouldn’t need to be there.

Location - even though it about 20-30 minutes from City, the Trams is just opposite the hotel. Personally, I found it was very convenience. I can take trams from Gyle Centre straight to St Andrew Square which took around 20 minutes for just GBP2. If you want to stay in City, this is not a suitable choice but to compare price with those hotels in the city, I think this would be a better choice. The airport also just around 10 minutes away. Trams are available both ways. It is like an industrial park but what is good is you can walk around. Transportation - as mentioned above, there are trams for both ways; to the city center and the airport. Very convenience and they are like every 5-10 minutes trip. Facilities - good. Nothing to comments about since it is the budget hotel after all. But I found it was very convenience, quite and nice environment. There are Morrisons and Gyle Shopping Centre (sort of) across the hotel. Overall, has a very pleasant experience staying here at the Ibis Hotel Budget.

Not that I don't like it but it would be better if the windows are tinted. I enjoy the view and prefer to have natural light but since my room facing to the road and there are building arounds it, I have to close it sometimes. My room was a bit small but for a person, I think it just okay. For a family, I would suggest you check all the available room first.

Good value for money, located close to a tram stop which takes you quickly to the centre or to the airport. The rooms were always well cleaned, all facilities decent for a budget hotel. The lobby area was well set up so you can order your dinner there and eat. No need to sit in your room for that.

It's just feedback for others: the rooms are pretty small, so if it's adults travelling, then you need to be able to organise your logistics in the room, otherwise it would get too tight. Breakfast is toast/pastries, ham and cheese and granola/cornflakes with yoghurt or milk. So if you want variety, then it makes sense to have breakfast outdoors.

The hotel is easy to find just off the tram line. A short, straight forward journey by tram from the airport then easy to pop in and out of the city centre by tram too. The room was very clean and exactly as pictured on the website. It was perfect travelling with my two young daughters but would not recommend if sharing with someone that you aren't 100% comfortable with as the sink and ensuite shower are actually in the bedroom not a separate room. Breakfast was basic continental. Absolutely fine for us. My girls really enjoyed the pastries etc as it is not something they usually have.

Would have loved a kettle in the room but there is free tea and coffee in the foyer 24hrs a day. Had to keep asking for soya milk but the friendly staff were always on hand to fetch it. More fresh fruit at breakfast would have been a perk.

1. Location: Its proximity to the train stain of National Rail and also proximity to the tram station. It's proximity to the airport is another plus point. 2. Compact & Neat 3. Very Good for short stay budget travelers

1. Tariff: For a budget hotel, away from city centre, it slightly on the higher side. With the limite size and the facilities of the room, it should be about 30% cheaper. 2. Overhead Bed for Childeren: It height from the bed is dangerous. A short heighted an like me, just 162 cms, was hitting the board quite often, Hence either height be raised slighly or at the outer Rim, some soft material padding be provided so that even the head hits the bed's plank, it doGoodes't hurt.

The room was comfortable considering its size. The staff were all extremely personable and helpful and the fact that they offered 24 hour service in the lobby for food (pizzas and paninis plus cold sandwiches and drinks) was extremely useful and a great bonus.

The breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was offered - we definitely skipped it the second day as we didn't feel we got a good value for what we were able/wanted to eat. The shower does lead directly into the room, so it was very slightly wet around that area but not too bad at all.

Good location, good choice of continental breakfast, helpful staff, nice room.

It could have been cleaner. Glasses and plates not properly cleaned. plates not dried and swimming in water put out for use. Soap in loos not topped up. Things like drinks glasses and cups not topped up and have to keep asking for things at breakfast eg napkins as not topped up. A lot of dust in the room on surfaces and clothes hangers. walls in room were needing a good scrub as stained with spills and I sanitised the child’s bed as covered in grubby finger marks. child’s duvet and cover stained. Receptionist told us the wrong price for breakfast and we ended up paying a lot more than we had thought we would be so that was annoying. Apart from this we liked the hotel.

Very convenient for an early morning flight, with free parking on a first come, first served, basis. The free tea and coffee in Reception was an unexpected bonus too. Staff were pleasant and efficient and the room was as expected - basic, but clean and the heating worked well. We'd definitely use the hotel again for a short stop-over.

There was nothing we didn't like. We were lucky as we were able to park in the hotel car park, which is free, however if we hadn't been able to get in there we understand the next available parking is 10 mins walk away which wouldn't have been so convenient with our luggage.

Perfect for a solo traveller or as a stop over for a couple. The rooms are very modern and exceptionally clean. The location is superb if you are travelling to the airport. There was a tram operating every 7 minutes from opposite the hotel that went straight to the airport in 15 minutes. There was also a large shopping centre opposite the hotel if you wanted a bit of retail therepy or to get supplies for the room. The staff were all really friendly.

There was a small bar at the hotel and vending machines but there is no food avaliable apart from the breakfast (and pizzas which were all sold out) - I was aware of this but a few people staying there didn't seem to know this. Also, a lot of hotels provide toiletries for your stay but there was only shower gel in this one (I had forgot toothpaste!). Coffee and tea is free but you have to go to reception - there is no facilities in the room to make drinks.

Very good for a supposedly three star place, it felt more like 4 star, reception had food, beer and drinks for sale; all staff were friendly especially one Polish speaking receptionist who I got to speak to in Polish, she was very good, I forget her name unfortunately. The cleaning guy woke me up a lot the first morning knocking every hour, however the reception workers were able to enter DND in the system and this didn't repeat, showing an easy way to fix a minor problem. Free coffee even after checking out was very good, breakfast was ok-standard. The location is good, and going back on the tram you can hop off at Islington park and ride to save yourself the airport fare, as it is just a 10 min. walk to the airport from there. The TV was very good and useful, had so many channels, I got to end my stay in Edinburgh by watching Trainspotting again. The music channels were also great, more than 1 available for chilling with a beer. For just 48 quid or so a night I would definitely stay again in my next visit in the summer or autumn if the price remains steady. For contrast you pay like 250-400 euro a night for a hotel almost anywhere in Ireland now. I think Scotland will be my new home away from home for reasonably priced holidays with friendlier people. I get real sick of unfriendliness living here in Prague. Everyone in Edinburgh was great and a professional friendly hotel staff made the last day very chilled.

I don't actually have any complaints, first time in a long time a hotel was worth the money.
