The room was large. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean, although shower was over bath. Staff were really helpful. Food at the pub was terrific, although they didn't cater for a gf diet, as most other places in the area. There was a pedestal fan in the room which was greatly appreciated seeing there was no air-con and it was unseasonably hot. Hotel was opposite a supermarket if needed. Bus stop was almost outside the hotel, making it really easy to catch one of the regular buses that ran into Edinburgh.

I would have been great to have had a top sheet on the bed as it was far too hot for the doona. It would have been nice to have been able to open the windows more seeing it was so hot. The heated towel rail had been left on, making the room really hot for when we arrived.

Location handy to airport and with good transport links to both airport and city centre. This is second weatherspoons hotel I've stayed in and been very happy with the quality, comfort and cleanliness of room for a budget hotel. With the weatherspoons bar downstairs and only staying the one night for business I did not need to leave hotel where I met with friends and had meal and few drinks

With having arthritis in my ankle I was disappointed to find I was on top floor and their was no elevator, I should have mentioned this at reception but as only staying 1 night I thought it would be alright but after going up and down couple of times for cigarette it was a struggle Second thing was check in time was 2pm and nobody on at reception which meat having to go to bar to get someone on which was clearly busy lunchtime for bar staff These are my only reason for 8 out of 10 mark

June 2023

We stayed at The White Lady between 28th May and 3rd June 2023. The accommodation is very good. There are tea and coffee facilities with shortbread and bottles of water replenished on a regular basis. The food and drink menu is typical of Wetherspoon’s with the occasional dish out of stock but is good value and served quickly. The staff are very helpful and polite. The hotel itself in approximately 4-5 miles from the centre of Edinburgh but don’t let that put you off. The best thing is to download The Lothian Bus App, which is excellent, will keep you up-to-date on bus arrival times and stops (EG JZ). The bus stop to the centre of town - turn right out of the hotel and walk a very few yards and you will see the bus stop outside The Toby Carvery. We often caught the number 26 and asked for Waterloo Place which takes you to the stop where the ‘hop on hop off’ buses can be found. The stop is at the end of Prince’s Street close to the shops. There is a monitor on the bus and so you can countdown the stops. Currently, the fare is £2 but you can pay £22 for unlimited Monday to Friday. The Royal Mile - if you get off at Waterloo Place and walk back towards Prince’s Street you will see The Balmoral Hotel on your left. Turn left after the hotel and at the end of the road is the Royal Mile. I believe the Mile is made up of several street names which can be confusing EG High street and others. Walk down the hill on the Royal Mile and at the end you will reach Holyrood Palace. At the back of the Palace is Arthur’s Seat - you will need good shoes as it can be dangerous underfoot. We found it dusty as it hadn’t rained and so don’t wear decent clothes if it is still dry. The Britannia is well worth a visit but is a little further out in Leith. We went there by the hop on hop off - we used the orange bus and there are two tours - central Edinburgh and the one that goes to Britannia. The cream tea onboard was very good. There is a queue but it is worth the wait. When you wish

Really nice room, bigger than expected, well furnished. The staff left it beautifully cleaned and tidied, and bed nicely made, each day. Very pleased with the entire thing, except that our room was directly above the staff outside area and the door to the beer cellar, so we were occasionally disturbed by smoking/chatting late at night, and a 6am delivery of beer. Next time we will hope for a quieter room further back.

Great location at the main road tk the city and to the airport, with 24/7 bus connections. Stilish and very nice pub, friendly personel, excellent breakfast. Great feeling of local heartbeat. Rooms are cosy and clean, with all basic requirements and free water. It would be great if there were also slippers and extra glass and toiletries.

There was no toilet brush, which really felt weird. Down at the pub you can order a lot of very tasty local specialities, but you need to use an app. As a tourist I was missing personal food ordering, little chit-chat with a waiter, some advice of what to order. App kills romantic, but was very effective though, we got everything we ordered in a decent time.

Easy to get to from the airport. Good value with great breakfast, food and drink options in-house. Clean room with comfy beds and a spacious bathroom. There's plenty of lines that will take you into Edinburgh, and good places to eat nearby as well. Friendly and fun service.

A bit muggy in the room and couldn't open the windows, but it had been a very rainy day. The airport bus doesn't stop at the bus stop next to the hotel, but luckily the walk isn't too long from where it does. You'll need to climb up a couple of flights of stairs to get to your room, which can be a problem when carrying heavy luggage.

The location was great for what we needed it for (event at Murrayfield). There are lots of buses that take you right in to the city centre which is only 15-20mins or so away. The room was a great size for two people - adult and teenager. Really pleased to see a bath in the room! Shower was great. Room was clean. TV on the wall worked! Iron and board! Even a hair dryer! Best of all a wee kettle in the corner with all the supplies to make a tea in morning when I got up. The fact it's a Wetherspoons was brill as you know what you get with them. Breakfast was amazing! Room was really quiet for how busy the hotel was.

There was honestly nothing I didn't like. Everything was awesome.

The room was large, clean and well equipped. There was even an ironing station available. The location is well connected to the airport and to the city (about 20 min bus ride), there are bus stations right nearby. The staff is super friendly and takes care quickly of anything you need. There is a supermarket just over the road. There is a restaurant/pub available at the location and they have very good food, nice beer selection and the prices are fair. Very good quality/price ratio.

We had some quite noisy neighbors in one night. The matter was solved the next day. Not really a bad thing, just keep in mind that many people would consider this location as a good deal :)

The rooms were very Large and comfy beds, Powerfull and hot shower. Plenty of storage, iron and ironing Board. There are lots of rooms in an L shape setting and our room was set back from the bar overlooking the car park but not noisy for us. The bus stop was outside the door and took us into the City and Britainia for a 5 GB pounds all day ticket, cheaper than the hop on hop off bus. It is Wetherspoons (Cheap Food and Drink) and also a Toby carvery just down the road, plus lots of other shops Free parking, although limited, we were lucky and got one. Only 10 mins drive from the airport,

There were some lots of stairs and no lift, so may not be good for people who strugle with Stairs or have heavy bags. No fridge in room but ample tea, coffee, milk amd buscuits etc, so not a big deal.

The location is amazing. There is a bus stop right there so you can catch the bus anywhere. We walked to old town from the hotel and it took about an hour but it was a lovely walk! You could get an uber or take the bus but it really is an awesome walk. The hotel is timeless and the room is clean and lovely. Amenities provided were fantastic. The room was cleaned and made up everyday while we went out to walk around the city so we came nack to fresh bed, fresh biscuits and fresh tea amenities. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is attached and we only ate breakfast there but it was very good. You just sit down, scan the QR code on the menu, find your table number on your table and order from your phone. Easy peasy! Wifi was also pretty decent.

The only complaint I really have is that to me the bed was quite hard. But we've been all over the U.K. and Ireland and that seems to be how every bed here is. I guess they just like firm mattresses here.
