The location was very good, the owner Ash was a gentleman the room he gave us was big and airy 2 double beds as I was down with my son the toilet was warm and well laid out with a big shower and wash hand basin it looked like new and well looked after the room was clean and tidy would definitely go back with the wife next time, also have the breakfast it's worth every penny nothing is too much bother for the staff so all I can say is thank you Ash I will be back 😀

This is not a complaint it's just me but the pillows are to big I like mine flater

We were warmly greeted upon our early morning arrival with tea and a cozy spot in the beautiful lounge area. Our room had soaring ceilings and windows looking out onto the quiet street. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were full and puffed, and everything was clean and tidy. The staff at Hotel No. 32 were the best - friendly and helpful. Finally, the full Scottish breakfast is a must, at least once during your visit! Looking forward to a return visit one day!

I would have preferred a sink that was a bit larger than the tiny hand sink we had. And the lock/key for the room was like something out of a Jane Austen novel - we pocketed a huge, iron key and there was only one available, although charming and in keeping with the era of the house. However, small things of note in an otherwise perfect stay!

The kindness, attentiveness, friendliness of all the staff and the owner is truly impressive.Immaculately clean and a level of service often lacking in much more expensive hotels.Very many thanks to everyone. Our bags were brought in and taken out to the car, recommendations for local restaurants, taxis called .....couldn’t as for more.

Not the fault of the hotel but the exorbitant parking charges and theneed to return to move the car after 4 hours impacted on our plans for the day.....the city council should help hotels by either allowing all day parking for a specific number of days or shorten the hours of parking restriction.

We were greeted with a warm welcome from Laura, who was very kind and helpful. A big thank you to her for treating us extremely well for the duration of our stay. Even after we arrived a bit before the check-in, we were allowed to access the room, which was great as we were in need of a rest after our travels. The decor of the hotel is lovely. The room was comfortable and quiet with a lovely view of green spaces at the back. The breakfast is great value and delicious. The owners, especially the son was very friendly and cooked the breakfast in the morning. As it was my birthday, they didn't charge me for the breakfast which was a lovely touch. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. It is a convenient 10 mins stroll from the main street and 1 min from haymarket train station, which was convenient as we came by train from Aberdeen. The tram to the airport is also in front so we had easy access to it when we leaving Edinburgh. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Edinburgh.

I don't have any complaints

Everything was very good until check out, I went to pay and the staff member said there was nothing to pay, about a week later I was getting phone calls saying I hadn’t paid and I told the guy what the member of staff had said and he said he would check, they left a message for me to call back, I called back and I left a message, the hotel eventually called me back, I had 4 attempts at paying on my card to no avail and then weeks later I had another call and the guy said that he would have to send an email and could I pay on the email, I received the email and it seemed very strange as the payment was going through a bank which was in Iceland, I was concerned about this but went ahead as I wanted the bill paid. I telephoned the hotel and I left a message to say someone to call me back, no one called, I called again and got a staff member and said I wasn’t happy how this had been handled and he said he would get the manager to call me back, I am still waiting for a call back, Everything was great until this and lack of customer care afterwards I would say is very poor.

Aftercare service, payment method in the end and not receiving calls back when someone has said they are going to call

Lovely location. Far enough away from the noise and bustle but close enough to walk into the centre. Lovely decor throughout the hotel. We had a nice big room overlooking the garden with sofa to relax on. It was extremely quiet and peaceful and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Edinburgh.

Loved everything. Would have been nice if breakfast would have been included in the price although understand the price of the room reflects paying extra for breakfast.

Room was lovely, bed VERY comfy, ice qalk in shower and toiletries and unique in design. Had a fridge, which was an excellent addition for a long weekend. Staff excellent. Location couldn't be better. Vege breakfast as well as traditional, very good. Was allowed to leave luggage before checking in, but out room was available by half 12. Hotel was clean and well presented and originally decorated.

Could have done with mugs, not cups, and digital tele. Sometimes, reception wasn't manned with no contact available, but I think this was a one-off experience. Could have done with a lift for other people, but it was no problem for us. It was only an easy one wide flight.

The trams just down the road. There is plenty of information at the hotel about Edinburgh. It's a great hotel. It's quiet, clean, great staff very helpful. The rooms are lovely. Food great. This is my second time back. I don't usually recommend a place to stay but this hotel l would. Not going to shout from the roof tops in case no rooms available when l book again. Selfish l know but it's a great hotel.

There is nothing not to like. It's a great hotel. Maybe one tiny thing Have a strong man to take suitcases up the stairs.

Above all, the staff were simply amazing! Manish in particular made us feel very welcome, was friendly and gave us useful information for our first time in Edinburgh. Prashanth was also great! We could not thank the staff any more for their fantastic hospitality and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh. The property was stunning throughout. The decor and attention to detail was fantastic and the room was huge. The room also had iron, hairdryer etc and was very quiet. en suite shower had good pressure and was very clean throughout.

It was a family run bussiness. Father and son. Both worked very hard very hard. Ash the owner and father was welcoming friendly and had a GSH. Always happy and nothing was to much trouble for him. Jake the barman was really friendly aswell. The fittings and design of the bar and dining room were very classy and the garden at the back was lovely to sit and have a drink in. We didnt meet the son as he was always too busy cleaning tidying or just fetching things in to cook. Overall I would recomend the No32 as a very good stay. Thank you Ash and the team. Location was good 500m from the Tram and Bus stop. 12min walk into the centre. Edingburgh wwwas greeeeat aaand we will return..
