Stayed at the farm for my husbands Birthday & to see the Edingborough Tattoo. Can't praise the accomodation enough. It was a very spacious suite & immaculately clean! The owner Annette & her daughter Ailsa were very welcoming & made you feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble & they took the time to inform us of the surrounding area & places to go. Breakfast was superb & plenty of choice! Also, there were Clydesdale horses on the farm, which you can visit. They are beautiful, gentle giants. Especially Wooody! The young lady (sorry can't remember her name) who looks after them was very friendly & chatted to us about the show awards they have won. The surrounding area has lovely views & is very peaceful. Looking forward to going back again!

The location was amazing, very scenic and peaceful. Easy to find. The staff were amazing, not only were they kind and friendly they definitely went above and beyond for me and my wife from the get go. The rooms were immaculate, they came with tea and coffee with a kettle I case we wanted a hot drink. The beds were very comfortable, was a nice suprised when my watch told me it was a "record sleep" for myself in the morning. Lovely shower and bath in the bathroom. The Breakfast was delicious! It was 2 courses, but along with the 2 courses there was toast and a choices os spread and jam, coffee, tea and orange juice as well as a bunch of other stuff. We couldn't eat it all because we were full part way through our second course but it was delicious! Would absolutely stay again, in fact we might be going back to Edinbrough for the Christmas Market and are already thinking about booking here again.

Absolutely nothing, enjoyed everything about the stay.

The property has great views to the valley, it is spacious and clean and great for dogs. The breakfast was excellent, plenty to choose from - the best scrambled eggs with salmon I had in a while. It was prepared with great care. Staff were very helpful and helped us to know the area and get our way around. There is plenty of walking and exploring to do around the Peggy's Pond and animals to observe, the horse were especially magnificent to watch further afield. Therooms were well equipped and very comfortable.

I liked everything It ticked my boxes. No issues.

The location being outside Edinburgh was ideal for us. It was far enough away to feel rural, yet still close enough to use the park and ride to get into the city. The owners were very friendly, as were the family dogs, who met us on arrival and chaperoned us whenever we were out walking around the farm. The room was excellent, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was very good with generous servings. Our dog was welcome in the breakfast room, which he enjoyed, as we didn't want to leave him alone in the room.

There was nothing to dislike about our stay

The room was a great size, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and spotless. Lots of information on nearby amenities in the booklet inside the room. Guests are allowed to use the breakfast room (cutlery/plates)to eat any food they have ordered in the evening. The surrounding view was beautiful. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast was good, the hosts were generous and allowed us to help ourselves to more coffee cereal etc. We were able to have a wonder around to look at the horses and other animals, which was nice. Will definitely be returning with the family. We'll worth the 5 and half hr drive!

Nothing to say.

The lady who served/cooked our breakfast was lovely. Extremely friendly and helpful. Brilliant breakfast and couldn't do enough to help with special diet needs. Thank you. Had everything in bedroom and beds were comtable.

The amount of Dog Poo everywhere. We even had it near our car when we got out of car. We have dogs and cleaned up after ours but no bins provided. There was someone living on site. Appreciate they like dogs but should be keeping an eye on where the dogs poo. If left where paying guests go. The bed duvet covers are bubbling up after being washed to much. Definitely need up dating, especially for £140 for one night.

We were attending a wedding in nearby Newhall Estate. Absolutely perfect location for us and an easy walk back from the wedding. The room was a great size and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The owners allowed us to use the kitchen at night for cooking and to eat in the dining room. The only ask was for us to leave the kitchen the way that we found it. Can't fault anything with our stay. Very pleasant and welcoming hosts.

Everything was excellent

Spent 2 nights at Peggy’s Lea to strand a wedding at the newhall estate next door, was welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our room it was bright airy. It had a king size bed and 2 single beds great space to get ready and not be falling over each other. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of of cereals as well as a 2 course breakfast the granola was really tasty. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order and was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the ladies if we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely return and recommend it to others. My daughter son and nieces and nephews loved the dogs and the horses.

Wow!! So glad I found this gorgeous place.we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. A fabulous warm welcome we received and shown our very spacious room, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. We ate at a pub in the village of west Linton, the food was out of this world!!! Peggyslea didn't disappoint with the traditional Scottish breakfast to send us on our way to the highlands. The icing on the cake was to meet the stunning Clydesdale horses that live here too!!! Made my holiday even more special. I cannot wait to return. 5 stars

Although this accomodation was further away (cca 20 min by car) from Edinburgh centre, we were very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful farm. The owners were very friendly and professional, breakfast was excellent (wide choice). The location was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, with lots of farm animals, especially Clydesdale horses! The family room we had was spacious and nicely decorated. We would definitely come to stay there again!
