We enjoyed every minute of our stay for 2 nights!! The Landlord and his staff were very friendly, knowledgeable of their business, and surrounding area, together with being very professional. The food was delicious, which also included a beautifully cooked full English breakfast... The accommodation was perfect, in every way, with all the facilities one would expect, exceedingly clean and comfortable. Thank you all once again, and now looking forward, very much, to our next stay at the Fox and Hounds!!!

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

The property was clean and of a reasonably high standard. The breakfast was good.

We booked a family room. What we actually got was a double room with an extra fold up bed which made the room cramped. We booked for 3 nights but the room was not serviced. Waste bins were not emptied, used wet towels were not replaced, tea / coffee making items were not replaced, beds not made or the room cleaned at all during our stay. The flexible shower hose was split and the fixed shower head was covered in dust.

Nice village pub in a lovely rural location. Rooms are all ground level, suitably decorated. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as toiletries (shower gel etc). We also had dinner in the pub and was very pleased with the quality and cost. Good cooked breakfast provided in the morning. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again.

On one of the evenings we were staying there were a couple of families eating in the restaurant, once finished the children were playing football on the grass area across the way from our room but obviously this wouldn't happen on a regular basis. We were also staying on a very hot day so the option of a fan in the room would have been good.

Set in a quiet village as we have our dog with us

Property was fine it’s more an issue about booking the dog which although we looked for dog friendly places to stay it doesn’t let you book 1 small dog on the website -on contacting the hotel direct we found it was ok to take the dog but were told a £15 charge per night for the dog ? No extra cleaning was required in fact you could hardly tell we’d been in the room never mind the dog

An authentic old pub serving drinks and meals, we were surprised to find our room was in an add-on building behind the pub. We had a view of some of the Avebury stone circle from the front and sheep in the field adjacent to the parking. The dinner on the premises. as well as the breakfast. was fine.

Would have liked to have known the room was not in the pub/inn. I booked rooms on this trip precisely for the experience of staying in really old, old accommodations.

Friendly and helpful staff, extremely comfortable room with everything you need provided including a fridge. Lovely views of surrounding countryside and very peaceful. Spotlessly clean and great value. A lovely breakfast is included and we also had dinner when we arrived. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely nothing!

Lovely accommodation for 4 nights in a gorgeous picture postcard village. Comfortable bed in a quiet location and we slept very well. The breakfast was excellent and we had a meal in the pub on one of the nights that was extremely good. All the staff were helpful and warmly approachable. We walked up to the site of the white horse and we noticed that there are many pathways in the area and we are looking forward to staying there again soon.

The wifi was very sketchy. I guess that this is an Uffington thing and was not a problem to us as we reverted to using our own personal hotspot for our ipads.

Great location for exploring the local area- Uffibgton white horse can be seen from the pub. Guest rooms separate to pub, a bit like a chalet. Clean and nicely furrnished. Rainwater shower was a nice touch. All covid measues in place.

We arrived when the kitchen was closed for refurb so we couldn’t eat dinner at the pub. But We were given a lift to /from a nearby pub by staff - which was helpful! Would have liked to eat at fox n hounds as it had such good food reviews. Room was cozy, not huge in size.

The best thing about this place is the staff, they were just so hospitable especially Michael and Max and the chef, they couldnt do enough for us, accommodation was kept exceptionally clean by the young lady housekeeper. A fun stay with fun people.

the only real downside was the very remote location, they dont do food on Monday evenings so they booked us into a pub a mile or so away but we didnt want to drive and the lovely Max took us in his own car. It was quite difficult to get a taxi back as the area is remote but we managed in the end.

Breakfast was good, not given any options, just a plate of food, bacon and sausage very good quality. Fantastic location, good room with en-suite and fridge, very large bed. Good pub grub in the evening

Being charged for a dog, was advertised as dog friendly but charged £15 additional and not sure what facilities were provided for the dog!
