The menu was wide ranging and there were plenty of Gluten Free options. The dishes were more complex and intricate than found on most menu's and the flavours and combinations were delicious. Breakfast was very good and again there was a really good variety of choices. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. We will certainly be making a return visit in the near future.

My only issue was being seated as a couple next to a large table of 8. This made it difficult to talk and have an intimate meal as the noise levels were very high.

The room was clean and comfortable but I would not have described it as a "superior double". Dinner was fabulous - we only had a started and a dessert as we had been to a family picnic and weren't tremendously hungry - the ginger pudding was superb and the presentation lovely. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection of continental choices and a wonderful array of cooked options. The front of house staff at both dinner and breakfast were fantastic - nothing too much trouble.

I was expecting more from my room at the price I was charged - perhaps if dinner had been included as well as breakfast for the price I might be a bit more forgiving of my disappointment with the room.

What a fantastic place! characterful pub, lovely cozy, quiet, and well appointed bedrooms with home cooked biscuits and a great shower…. and… wow… amazing food, including the breakfast, which had the usual favourites as well as some exciting other choices. the home made jams were brilliant. The evening meal was exceptional, we love to eat in foodie places and this was a real delight and amongst the best of the best ever meals - we could have had every starter, the choice was so good and service was perfect from kind and attentive staff. Parking etc also good.

nothing. it is wonderful

Beautifully located in the quiet village of Letcombe Regis, this quaint, friendly, welcoming hotel is a must stay if you a re looking for a quiet get away or, like me, travelling for work. The staff are exceptional with their customer service, nothing is too much trouble, and for me it's the small details that matter, like being offered a thermos of free milk for your room. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and lovely and cosy, and the food is Michelin Star quality, there was nothing at all that could be improved. Thank you so much to everyone for making my stay so lovely, and especially the young lady who served my breakfast on the Thursday morning, doing work experience.

Everything was perfect

Lovely top attic room. We arrived wet, tired with very muddy bikes. All staff were really helpful and provided a hosepipe to clean the bikes. Very secure bike lockers. After our late arrival the staff made sure we had time for a shower , then had a stunning meal with great beer. Breakfast was like a banquet. Everyone bent over backwards to be helpful. After fixing our punctures we needed a track pump, which the owner arrived with on his day off.

Nothing!

We took both dinner and breakfast and both meals were excellent in every respect. The menus were good, the food well served and superbly cooked. Breakfast was one of the best meals of this type that I've ever enjoyed. Couldn't be faulted in my opinion. The chef is young and I'll be very surprised if he doesn't achieve at least one Michelin star within the next few years.

Our room was rather cramped and we found some of the passageway doors rather cranky. However, it is a very old building and this sort of thing is to be expected. This didn't spoil our stay in any way.

Having stayed at The Greyhound before we were well aware of what to expect and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, tucked away in a lovely, quiet village but with easy access to Oxford or the horse racing community at Lambourn, with the opportunity to walk The Ridgeway on the doorstep. The Greyhound itself is a hub for the local and wider community and as such has a real buzz about it; the food is excellent (both breakfast and evening meals) and their is a great choice of real ales. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with, believe it or not, firmer pillows than normal. The bar staff and manager were all very friendly and extremely helpful; when requesting a slightly earlier breakfast on the Saturday morning there was no problem at all. When we are in the area again this will be our 'go to' pub for both accommodation and eating.

Nothing - everything was excellent.

We selected The Greyhound Inn as an overnight stop whilst walking the Ridgeway. We were met by a warm welcome from the staff and shown our room. The room was spotless with incredibly comfy beds, good quality linen and an excellent shower over bath with lovely Bramley bath products. We booked dinner in the restaurant, which was also excellent. A varied menu with an excellent wine list. Although the pub was busy, the service was friendly and efficient. There was a good selection of breakfast items available at an additional cost and the pub was also able to provide a packed lunch for our onward journey.

I forgot to mention on check out that the bathroom lock was damaged. There was nothing to dislike about this property.

Beautiful location, building and friendly, welcoming and personable staff. would highly recommend. I stayed on the hottest day of the year (on record) I had the room in the Apex so was HOT!! The team went above and beyond in making it as comfortable as possible (fans etc) We missed the cut off for food and the young lady who was leaving offered to work longer and prepare us some food. We declined, but again, they went above and beyond! Really impressed with their service. We all know this costs nothing but not everyone delivers on this.

Room - although compact it had all the facilities we required.Free bottled water, tea and coffee and biscuits, radio and TV En-Suite - was a good size and well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. Dinner good selection of food which was very well presented and excellent standard. Breakfast was excellent choice especially the fresh front salad.
